How easy is it to take apart and replace? I just bought a carbon fiber wheel but I haven't tried replacing it yet.

Common issue for the earlier models. The softer leather they use got hot and sticky when in hot conditions.
Ron not sure what's the difference between the standard and sports sterling wheel. I think I have the standard.
The sport steering wheel is skinnier and has perforated leather with a couple of different styling cues.
Ron, do you know if there's custom LED carbon steering wheels for the GranTurismo? I know they make them for Mercedes for example. The LED shows rev count.
I would love one if there was but I have never seen one for Maserati. Not even from a third party.
Hey Ron, I have a 2015 Ghibli Q4. Lots of parts of leather on the steering wheel fall off but the steering wheel light never lit up. It's still under warranty, so does it mean that 2015 version doesn't have the feature?
The steering wheel light wasn't a related issue to the leather coming off but to a faulty power steering module sensor. You should talk to your service coordinator and see what they can do about the leather on your wheel.

Nope, they changed the leather for 2017-2018 so yours should be fine. Since mine is a 2016, I was affected.
whats the year of your maserati ghibli brother? i just got a carbon fiber steering wheel for 1200 looks sick im about to install it. Also how did you take care of that leather seats? mine has the crack marks on the boarders wher you seat :( its a 2016.. im thinking on buying the lease but the residual is 44k. i believe our car cost today about 38 and when lease ends may 2019 will be less.. so not sure if i should pay 44k.. can i negociate the buyout?
Mine is a 2016 as well. Yeah the value of the cars tank which is why the residual is what it is. You may be able to negotiate a buyout, I'd try it for sure to see what you can get it down to. Keep me posted!
I am up for new wheel; want ''S"' wheel with perforated leather as an upgrade. Plenty of 'lesser' cars have this as standard...

I hate the Maserati interiors so much, but I would be lying if the exteriors and exhaust were not glorious. How on earth does Maserati make a V6 sound so damn good?!?!
Maserati's exhaust systems are the secret to their success. You can recognize and Maserati V6 and V8 in an instant. Not sure how they do it...

This should not happen on a 2 and 1/2 year car with 23k miles on it whatever brand it is. In Maserati case, the damage to the image is even worst.
Very true, but I'm glad they are handling the situation instead of making me pay out of pocket. Either way I'll bring you all along on the journey, good or bad.
Maseratti's warranties should be 10 years or 100,000 miles.

That would be a dope warranty! Closest you're going to get to that is a CPOV Masi warranty at 6 years unlimited miles.

Its a shame that a so beautiful and powerful car has serious quality problems. I hope that they''ll fix such issues...
Its unacceptable to spend 100.000$ for a car and have such quality issues.
I think every big automaker has big issues. Its just that more people have and post about these vehicles compared to others. For ex Ferrari 488's when they first arrived to the states has fuel line leaks. Saw one with my own eyes when I visited the shop of Ferrari Maserati Orlando.

OMG! A car that has an issue! What the devil is going here? Based on some of the comments I don’t believe some people have owned a car before. Any brand. Lol.
