5:36 Time for some random analytics- Hi Jack, I'm from India, particularly Maharashtra, your top viewers in India. I am going to consider a hypothetical scenario where each of these persons has watched a single video of Jack once in their lifetime( not considering repeat viewers). So this is more about the population of the state rather than the actual viewer analytics. 9.6 millions is about 8% of the state's population. In Karnataka too, you have about 8% of the state's population. Then it falls. Your viewers are about 2% of Uttar Pradesh. Then back to 5% of the state in Tamil Nadu. Then damn! 20% of Delhi watches your video. That's the best percentage in top 5. Edit: Considering that this is not an actual thesis, I thought people would understand that I am considering one view as one person rather than counting repeat viewers because analysis using repeat viewers isn't possible with this limited data. For that, I need actual info about each viewer individually, which TH-cam doesn't provide. But since everybody started picking this apart, I thought I'd make it clear that it is a hypothetical scenario.
very much inaccurate bc yt analytics count 1 viewer as twice if you watch 2 of his videos unlike unique views so if 10 people are watching the video from delhi it doesnt mean 10 people are actually watching your videos from delhi it might be just 1 person who've watched 10 videos or yours also you just simplified the given data which he didnt ask for

Reading these comments I'm reminded that geography, and a love for geography, is universal. We all love to know the interesting landmarks in our own country, as well as others, and all the fun facts and stats from everywhere else. A geography channel from a conceptual standpoint is one of the best to make due to massive reach. Sure geography lovers aren't as strong a group as swiftys, kpop stans, or minecrafters for instance, but a much wider potential viewerbase. Its really interesting to think of how geography content can truly cross barriers, culture, and language
I'm from Russia and I am honestly very _VERY_ surprised Russia even made it into the first 50 considering how little people here know English. Like 3mil, damn that's impressive. Literally almost no one knows English, my classmates do nothing on English lessons, adults can't understand simple things on like food packages and other sh!t. Don't ask how I know English so we'll to be watching _a lot_ of English speaking youtubers, it's a big story. It's very bizarre to see that many Russians watching you, glad to know someone's like me. Or maybe it's just translation channels or automatic TH-cam translation and they actually don't know English. Overall I'm sorta kinda obsessed with geography and I hyperfixate on your videos a lot and they actually helped me become better! Proud to be from those 0.5%
Such a small number of views may also be due to lack of knowledge of the channel. For example, I just found it today. And adults, for the most part, studied at school not English, but French or German. (in my environment)

Little confused with 4:00. 8:12, I'm from Hong Kong jack! But I go to school in England so I give some extra views there. I've been subscribed to JSAG, JSAS, and JSAL for a while even before I subscribed and I love ur vids. And I have learnt a lot of geo thanks to you and even my parents say that I am smarter at geography than them (I'm 12 btw). (Toilet gang for life!!!!!!!).

Hi Jack! I'm from Indonesia, and I'm 13 years old , Since a long time ago i really like Memorize any flag of countries and memorize capital city of countries and Not only that, I even memorize the cities in various countries and more i can memorize, and now i really like watching your geography videos for learning
Why need to say your age?
*The thumbnail: Tuvalu gave you 20M+ views*

Clickbaiting!
It would take 11k Tuvaluans 1.9 days to watch his videos 20m times, assuming they watch three minutes and watch for 12 hours a day, which is feasible, they just need to be dedicated

@sujal9523yet here you are commenting on it 🤦♂️ You need to see a doctor quickly, you seem to suffering from a serious case of stupid.
6:15 As a Penangite, basically everyone I see in Penang speaks English also! ...or more precisely, a variation of English that is mingled with so many loanwords from various languages called "Manglish".
Also, Penang is a state of Malaysia. So I'm also a Malaysian.
Weird thing that Jack got 32 peoples watching him from north korea (KP)
Reading these comments I'm reminded that geography, and a love for geography, is universal. We all love to know the interesting landmarks in our own country, as well as others, and all the fun facts and stats from everywhere else. A geography channel from a conceptual standpoint is one of the best to make due to massive reach. Sure geography lovers aren't as strong a group as swiftys, kpop stans, or minecrafters for instance, but a much wider potential viewerbase. Its really interesting to think of how geography content can truly cross barriers, culture, and language
5:26 dont worry jack, im in Delaware and im watching right now 😂
Hi! I’m Floridian and I’m so happy to see we made top 5 states!!

Im from Wales and I like your videos very much I'm literally watching this vid on my TV right now
Fun fact: Saint Helena is where Napoleon was sent to after the Waterloo battle, then he died "peacefully" there. I guess he's just watch your video to try to catch up with the current world situation lol
As a brazilian. Im proud to be watching this video

Petition: make a video seeing the percentages of the other countries that you can see their subdivisions.
Ex: Canada, Germany, spain,etc...
Germany: yesss! I'm guessing 1. Berlin; 2. Nordrhein-Westfalen (because Cologne, Düsseldorf); 3. Hamburg; 4. Hessen (because Frankfurt); 5. Bavaria (my state - because Munich), blablabla (there are 16 states) until bottom: 16. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Yea please! Or at least a short!
@@1258-Eckhartwell, 16 could also be Saarland, but yeah... I would also say that the first spot would more likely be Nordrhein-Westfalen, as it is the most populated State in Germany...

I'm from Chandigarh, India. and yeah, not a lot of people watch you in Chandigarh.
But its interesting to see Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh top the list. didn't expect UP to be that high.
Huh??…….stop with those stereotypes bro……..there are urban cities in UP as well and also not to forget that UP has some part of it in NCR region of Delhi which is densely populated.
Hey brother i m also from chandigarh watching his vdos :)

Jack: Wyoming was number 51

The chart probably had something extra in the start
Are you serious?
Little confused with 4:00. The percentages do not add up to 100, but the proportions are correct (i.e 73.4 million divided by 88.1 million is 83.4%, etc. The sum of the total views in each substate doesn't even equal 88 million. I wonder why? It made Jack make a false conclusion but that was hard to catch.

Jack I just joined your subreddit yesterday and tried to post but I cant add post flair so I cant post 😢, what should I do now
As an Indian I am very disappointed that we are at third place instead of First 🙁☹️
Hi jack! I am from Brazil, I love your geography channel 🇧🇷🇧🇷
5:36 you said provinces but India has states and union territories
And also here are some details if you are interested about the Indian states and union territories in the graph:
1. at first place is Maharashtra, which is not the most populated state but it is the 2nd most populated state with 112 million people.
2. at second place is Karnataka which is also not the most populated state in India but it is 8th largest population with 64 million people.
3. at third place is Uttar Pradesh which is the most populated state in India with 199 million.
4. Tamil Nadu is in 4th place which is ranked 7th in population in India with 71 million people.
5. Delhi is in 5th place which is a Union Territory which is the 2nd largest city by population in the world behind Tokyo.
6. Enough for top now for the bottom 2, at 2nd last place is Andaman and Nicobar Islands and to be honest I am surprised that people watch your channel from there. BTW their population is 434,000 people.
7. Lastly, there is Arunachal Pradesh, its population is 1.56 million people. (I ignored the unknown).
its shocking that jack has more views form andaman and nicbar islands than arunachal pradesh in INDIA
Arunachal Pradesh is the least densely populated state in the country
@@GreenMania-my3wc what does density have to do with that??
@@PyroCryn It's called population.. not density...
High Density is like: The high density city has a lot of people jampacked into one space.
Population: all the inhabitants of a particular place.
@@Purplified_1 Yea mate I totally understand what u mean. Population Density determines the number of people per square km or in anyway u like to measure but all he is trying to say is that it depends on population. I am not saying he is correct I am just telling what he means. I should have represented my sentence in a proper way, my bad.

i’m from Croatia and it’s actually surprising that we are actually high on the list (0.7%) between way bigger/populated countries like Spain, New Zealand etc.
