Agree totally! I only discovered Kevin a month ago. Since then I have been watching as much Kevin as possible! Whenever I feel sad, I know what to do! 😊
Love this recipe and the preparation for the book club, what fun. Little Harry at the garden store is precious. Goldie is a big girl and so beautiful . I have heard so much about the books your club has read. Kevin, you have the most sophisticated channel on TH-cam. So happy I found you.😊
you are my calming moments everyday= I think I am now caught up on almost all for videos= thanks for keeping me company during knee replacement surgeries (both in 8 months) and now that I am back to normal- wait every week for your new videos (will admit your fall and winter ones are my favorites - because they are my favorite times of the year) live in the same zone as you so I understand all the snow - love your winter meals- and your fall and winter decorating- have now started using all the greens (evergreen) from my farm in vases (never thought to do that before) and we are making an herb garden with shelves in our bathroom window- never knew what to with that huge window - any ideas what to do with a million pinecones lol
the longer we let the dough rest, the more supple it becomes, and the less extra flour we need to add. Kneading by hand lets us develop a relationship with dough, so we know when it is ready simply by touch. I'm a ghostwriter, so I get much of my reading fix through writing. :D But I am on a Garrison Keillor kick at the moment.
Hi Kevin , I don't know if you and Mr.Fox like spareribs, if you do I thought you might like this recipe. For 4 people. 2 lbs country ribs (each rib is separated) Melt 1 stick unsalted butter, mix with 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce, a pinch os salt and a couple of grinds of pepper. Put ribs in the sauce and let sit for an hour or two. Rinse 2 lbs sourkraut and place in a deep baking dish. Add to the sourkraut a cup of raisins or dried cranberries. Braise ribs until browned on the outside. Place ribs into the sourkraut. Pour remaining Worcestershire mixture over the dish and cook at 250 degrees until the ribs are fork tender. I hope all will enjoy this dish.
Sunday mornings with Kevin while enjoying my coffee. What an interesting menu! Perfect for book club. Also great for a vegetarian meal. I think the falafel would also work topped onto a salad. The pita bread looks quite delicious. Beautiful viewer tea towel. Fun to see Goldie stretched out, lounging on the sofa. I enjoyed the flower store visit. Beautiful place and atmosphere. Wonderful dog greeter Harry. Those roses you purchased looked luscious. The farm store also a great place to shop. My friend belongs to a book club, but they meet at a restaurant. I'm not much of a reader myself, but maybe I should be. I'm a college graduate, but stayed in the arts mostly. Cutting and pasting, paper tearing, etc. I come from a family of readers though. My dad could read War and Peace in a couple of days, so I can appreciate readers. Anyway, thank you for the video. Take care and enjoy your Sunday. See you next time.♥️💐🌷🌼🐕🌱📖🌿🐈📚🍋☕🫓
Wish I was part of your book club, what a treat your friends are in for...right now I'm reading "Return to Valetto" ~ Dominic Smith! thank you for another fun video, cheers!
You are the best meditation ever Kevin. I love watching all your shows and I love Avery and your cats! I actually watched 4 of your shows today (2 from last year and especially loved the one with Avery on your bed! ❤) and felt peaceful and I learn things too! You are truly a gift to all of us and I appreciate your beautiful spirit and all of your hard work so much! Thank you Kevin ❤
Happy Morning to you to out side in my Iris garden littel chilly but beautiful weather here 80s tomorrow can't wait!!!! Your such a true inspiration love your videos My family and I aways watch. Such a beautiful Sunday we all have so much to be thankful for. Have a great day!!!!!
Thank you Kevin for sharing your days with us. You are a mentor to me @65! You're a soothing presence in a hectic, dense city. You make living a fantastic lifestyle doable. I always love when your cats and dog make camio appearances ❤❤❤
I love all of your local shops! Wish I had that here where I live. Such beautiful environments and clean presentation. Natural and more healthy on every level. Lovely Day of Sol to you and your pets ❤❤❤.
I can hardly wait to make all of these recipes. I adore falafels and am always in search of the perfect one. I think this might just be it. Thanks for the pleasant Sunday morning journey. Bless you.
Kevin.visiting your farm store and flower shop is a wonderful time spent. You amaze me with your knowledge of every sort of culinary you seem to be totally at ease with. Envious 😢😮 I admire and love you ❣️ FROM Florida with love. 🌴 🐊 🌺
Great video today!! I'm very familiar with pita bread, falafel and the sauces. You made fixing them look so easy. Such a lucky book club to have you make such fun foods and provide a beautiful setting. It was fun to meet Harry too. So cute!
Sounds like a great book club, Kevin. I'm reading a classic Chinese painting manual called The Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting, translated from the Chinese and edited by Mai-mai Sze. The original texts go back hundreds of years, with over 400 examples of brushwork. It's made me so much more observant of nature as I take such lovely walks this spring. It was mentioned on an Alan Watts talk that is part of a podcast his son produces. Thank you for the casual dinner with falafel, which I love. I look forward to trying this, as it is a delicious, healthy meat substitute. (I will try baking at high temp instead of frying).
Hello Kevin. I watch your videos quite a lot. When you prepare your recipes, I take note. My youngest daughter, at age 21 is a professional chef. I often tell her about many of your recipes and she always considers on replicating many of them. Kudos to both you and my girl! 💛👍🧑🏼🍳🍀🍽️🍾🙂
Kevin! Your forsythias are glorious! I'm in planting zone 8b so my forsythia blooms in Feb. and lasts only a week or 2 before the temps begin rising and leaf buds open in their place. I'm never more impressed with anyone's cooking abilities than when they make any kind of bread. You act like there's nothing to it but I cannot do it! Yours turned out beautifully. Interesting book choice for your group...I'm sure the discussion was lively...☺. Enjoyed the video. Thanks!
Hi Kevin, I made this early this morning so my daughter could take some to work for lunch. I tasted it and it is absolutely, amazing! Thank you for sharing another wonderful meal, hugs, Julie 🥰
I was so happy to see a post by you today! The pita and falafel look delicious! I have never tried them before but will make and try these soon! Your book club is blessed to have you hosting!
Watching the Pita dough balloon in the oven was exciting! I simply love all the flavors of everything you made in this video. And the color and size of the roses was stunning. You’ve got the luckiest book club!
I can’t believe how many of your tools I also use. I have the spurtle, that dough whisk and just bought that wooden strainer spoon and small rolling pin three weeks ago. I just put pita bread on my shopping list. Not any more. Going to try making my own now that you’ve shown me how.
Wow, that falafel looks scrumptious! And your book choices are right up my alley. One of my favorite authors is Somerset Maugham. Either "The Painted Veil" (the movie is great) or "Of Human Bondage." Cheers! 🥰
Great video. We love pita bread. Who would have thought they would be so easy to make. Thank you again for another amazing video. Have a wonderful week ahead. Hugs
Dear Kevin, greetings from Germany (Augsburg near Munich). I really like your recipes, your decorating style und the way, you do your videos. I also share your love for the "fur angels", who enrich our lives so much. Thank you for sending peaceful and good vibes into the world.
The yoghurt cucumber sauce has lemon juice in it but you should try it with an added dash of balsamic vinegar. It just adds a pop of flavor! My Persian and Lebanese friends eat this kind of food all the time. I love it and Dutch and Indonesian and grew up in Australia. Now here in Virginia!
Very lucky Book Club! The pita bread looks amazing as do the falafels. Goldie is such a beautiful cat. Did I see one blue eye and one brown? Thanks Kevin🙏❤️
Lucky people coming to your house for a feast Kevin. You are an absolute delight, what a gentle soul you are. Love your videos and your home. Have a great day.
Thank you for the delicious recipes! Definitely will be making them! Also liked the books you mentioned. I've read a couple of them. Good reads! I've recently read Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Kimmerer and The Hidden Life of Trees by Wohlleren.. both are good! Have a great weekand happy spring!
Another great video, Kevin! And yes, I belong to a book club also! Thanks for your reading suggestions! I will keep them in mind for future readings. "Demon Copperhead" by Barbara Kingsolver was great one. Barbara was interviewed and attests that the actual spirit of Charles Dickens helped her write the book. Enjoy!
Thank you Kevin. I am surprise how the Pita Bread comes out. It seems the recipe is very good as you can see how the Pitas looks like. . I will do all this ASAP. Send my love and a hug. Until the next video my friend.
Just read The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams - so good. I love Falafal I bake mine 😊. Thankx for another great video ! Love to Avery, Goldie and Binkie from the UK 🇬🇧 again xx
House of Mirth..one of my favorites. Falafel looks delicious as does everything you make!! I love watching your channel, Kevin so..let’s not call the whole thing off! Play Gershwin on the piano someday?
Wow! Homemade falafel and pita! What a treat. And the flower shop is such a treat for the eyes (and the adorable little puppy!). I love hearing which books your club has read. I just finished The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters and I recommend it. It would be a really interesting one for a bookclub discussion. Cheers to you and and your fellow bibliophiles!
What a coincidence dear Kevin....I treated my family to the very same dinner....made by..." yours truly"....they laughed and told me it was a resonance thing with you....what a connect we have with you😊
One suggestion is to fry up some cauliflower florettes in the oil after you’re done with the falafel. Watch carefully you don’t want them to get too brown but just a little brown around the edges is perfect and add those to the sandwiches. I had that many years ago in a Middle Eastern restaurant and, it made the fall awful even better. Will be trying your recipes. This all looks wonderfully delicious as always.
Have a beautiful Sunday, Happy Spring! I so love Tierra Farm quality! Thank you so much for that bit of care and knowledge beautiful products wonderful taste
I'm re-reading Pride and Prejudice and really enjoying it! Also King Lear, Herodotus and Black Elk speaks. All super! Thanks for you sharing your book club reads along with the mouthwatering menu!

Lovely & simple vegetarian meal
Oh thanks! We have moved to a smaller midwestern town where ethnic food options are minimal and we need a good pita!
Thank you for sharing this lovely video.👍🥰

Growing up in a Lebanese family I love all of the foods. Thank you for making this recipe. Falafel is one of my faves.
Very lucky Book Club! The pita bread looks amazing as do the falafels. Goldie is such a beautiful cat. Did I see one blue eye and one brown? Thanks Kevin🙏❤️

Wow! Homemade falafel and pita! What a treat. And the flower shop is such a treat for the eyes (and the adorable little puppy!). I love hearing which books your club has read. It looks so good Yum 🇵🇹
What a coincidence dear Kevin....I treated my family to the very same dinner....made by..." yours truly"....they laughed and told me it was a resonance thing with you....what a connect we have with you😊
Thanks especially for showing them as they bake! This was amazing!! 💕
Every time you end a statement with a smile, I CANNOT resist smiling back! I bet a lot of your viewers have the same response!🥰
