I was fishing from my kayak close to the manatee viewing area a couple weeks ago where the large wooden tower is located. A spinner shark about 5' jumped parallel to my kayak and i literally had to push it away with my hand as it was spinning.to keep it from landing in my kayak and lap.
Not worth retying over and over while loosing gear to sharks. Outside of Apollo I just use 30lb fluorocarbon for cobia where there’s not many sharks. Haven’t noticed a difference for larger fish when using a short steel leader, but smaller fish definitely seem picky, including mackerel which is infuriating at times.
And another one. Another great video. Something about your videos they're very peaceful and always feel like I'm sitting right there fishing.
Appreciate it scuba steve! Where are the cobias at?! Lets fish soon!
Great video. I live just down the street from the plant. I’d love to take my kayak out and do some fishing there!
Get em 👍🤙
Do you know where to launch the kayak? I haven’t figured it out. I live in Ruskin and I have a powered Old town sportsman.

Apollo beach marina. Fishing right where the floats are located 🤙👍
Do u have to pay to use the marina?
@@rafarafitaqueloque5001 yes, $10
Awesome Video! Where are you launching from to get the yak out there?

@@floridafishorry6995 but then how do you get to the Jack wall ? It looks like the orange buoys block the way
@@-FishingTampa the jack wall is an island. When you land just cut through the brush piles which allows you to fish a little beyond the orange floats
great video
Thanks mate! 👍🤙
I live near there. Where can I put out my kayak please? I haven’t figured it out.

What’s the name of the kayak you’re using?
Perception crank 🤙👍
baby hook on a giant bait = bad hook up
Little hooks,catch big fish...
Gonna be hard to catch any fish with those bull sharks in there!
The tax man! 👍🤙
Get rid of that funky terminal tackle you got tied on the line. Those leaders and clips and shit.
