In my country Iran, we use lots of different types of pickles, jam and marmalades made with vegetables, herbs, fruits and spices.Specially in the Fall season it is pickles time. But we do not have Chutney . Since i have moved to Scotland, i have learned about chutney and tried many different Chutney and i love them, specially mango chutney and onion chutney.
Wow this caramelized onion chutney recipe looks interesting and amazing.. should try this soon. Just a tip when cutting red onions, you might want to try thieves essential oil. Keep a bottle open while slicing, no more tears
I have never tried red onion chutney before! Interesting recipe and I like spices you used! Beautiful presentation in this jar with a note! joined you for more videos!😍
What a nice recipe, saved it in my playlist to make for the holidays, it’s easy in prep but I can see the flavor is quite complex, well done! I like your little spice infusion basket 😊

I doubt the basket allows much infusion. I put them in (empty) tea bags. Available at any store where LOOSE green or Japanese tea leaves or whole organic blends are sold. The baggies also work for stews, pulais, biryanis etc. You're welcome!

That sounds great, pickling and jam making is such a fantastic way of preserving. I really love chutney with cheese especially around Christmas time.
@@PinchofMintCookingChannel yes they are really delish: oatmeals cakes, chutney and cheese, 😊

which cheese do you recommend for this chutney?
Hi, thanks for watching. I would recommend a good Mature Cheddar, Brie, Camembert, and I think it goes great with a nice Stilton 👍🏻
