Yard work best option for young people. Adults realize kids want money, and yard work isn't fun really (to most, some like it). Gonna need that work ethic later in life. Good to learn to manage money and find ways to earn it early.

Berries should be fed to gyms for stardust. Don't delete your berries.

You also earn a candy for the Pokemon you are feeding from time to time. Even more reason to put a spare legendary or spare top PvP/raid Pokemon.
Was thinking about getting a new backpack for GO Fest, but I literally found a usable backpack cooler in the garbage yesterday. I’m taking this as a sign!!

If you're planning on walking a lot, it might also help to have some decent shoes ready that you've worn already a few times so you don't get sores on your feet from the new or bad shoes.

Drop your rare candies on Origin Palkia or Origin Dialga for the adventure effects!!!
I'm saving some for Necrozma's Adventure Effects, but Palkia is usually my go-to for dumping excess Rare Candies
@@PurpleLugia necrozma's effect kinda sucks, and it doesnt seem to even be available yet. however dumping candy into necrozma isnt a bad idea either, you need like 500 or so to max 2 and fuse them

@Cursedluckycat Nope, 2 reasons to continue doing that: 1) the medal for accumulated time defending gyms 2) as in the video, more Pokémon you have defending gyms the more probable someone comes to take it out

It’s a good time to be respectful and let teams hold a gym for 8hrs and 20min. A lot of the newer players don’t know this, so they kick each other out all the time. I wish there was a way to message these players in game.

I second this too. I haven’t spent any of my own money in the game and I managed to get a lot of unique shinies and legendaries in the game. I am currently level 50. It’s true that paying gets you more, but managing your resources properly, strategizing, and planning effectively helps so much.

What he said earlier is true, you can pay to get ahead. More coins, more bag/pokemon space, more raid passes and exclusive research to get pokemon we don't get for free😭

I'm guessing you take advantage of coins from gyms. That'd be the simplest way

One method for gyms that i have is what i like to call “Midnight Murder” where after 12:00AM i just battle every gym in my local area (4 gyms within a 3-7 minute walk) and just have them be knocked out the morning after.
Night before go fest, first time actually going all out. I came back to this to make sure I didn't forget. I really got in campfire and got in some groups to find where my local spots are at, have a bag packed, and everything is charging. Really glad Daxi made this because it was great to prep and also run through the night before to check that I didn't forget anything!

Daxi, this is somewhat unrelated. I have a question on search strings. I tried to mass transfer and almost mass transferred a nundo because the when I try to add “!0attack&!0defense&!0hp” it doesn’t filter them
i got the city play for the day before so I can just catch cool pokemon and explore the city before i get all the research and timed stuff
I've been preparing since it was announced. Gyming everyday to earn coins since I don't like paying for it and figuring out which pokemon I need during the habitats, mainly shinys I have not got yet. A week before I'll buy more storage and get as many pokeballs as possible, going to be great 👍👍👍
For healing items, I'm leaning toward going in with 80-90% of my healing item stock tied up in Max Revives and the rest in Max Potions. Especially with Heal All, I definitely want to go from fainted to ready with my team as fast as possible.
Would you guys recommend for day 2 (since it’s normally raid focused) should I just drive my car to go raid at gyms?
I don't think you "drop and heal" method works, because if I see a gym with 5 Pokemon with max health and one at minimum health, the last thing on my mind is to knock that one Pokemon out of the gym. If I attack a gym it's to take the gym for myself, not to knock out one Pokemon.
They are all at different gyms
Never delete your Berrys feed em to pokemon in gyms and get stardust

Sometimes when not driving and stopping at a traffic light, I'll hit the gym to kick out as many as I can to give people coins. Most of the time I dont have time to clear the whole gym so this method is still viable.
using gold rasp on a gym to heal a waste of time unless a raid about to hatch to stop them attacking it or it about a few mins off ticking to next day better to just take gym back use normal berry on when close will heal more and for stardust to make bag space to spin gyms,open gifts,ect

I would recommend keeping a few dozen of nanab berries. They really help when you need to chain excellent throws.

If you can, stock up on ultra balls and toss out regulars, if need be. I plan on running my auto catcher all day and in order to give it the best chance of catching, I’m going to have it use ultra balls and have saved up close to 1000. Also figure out what megas you want to run each hour and if you can, have three of every possible mega.

I think there’s a little mistake for the golden lure you need to send postcards to SV , for the coin bag as well because sending a Pokemon is for the Meltan Box

Need to hatch 10 more eggs and I will have Masterball before go fest, so if I don’t get a Galarion bird before go fest, I’ll have it for go fest just in case.
So I would like a video on what to do during go fest to Maximise shines. Do you catch everything, do you just click on everything? A mix of both. Do you target the Pokémon you click on?...
So my issue is when I put !shiny it still shows shinys I’ve caught so no idea why.
I went to NYC looks like I’ll unfortunately not be buying ticket. Also going to be busy and in a rural area with bad internet service and absolutely no stops. Bummer. But at least I went to the NYC one.
Just dumped a bunch of rare candy into palkia for spacial rend for 1 day NYC go fest and 2 days of global fest
2:40 you can get extremely far by just farming your pokecoins everyday
just make sure to stack up coins for the ingame shop bundles that make raid passes a lot cheaper and very efficient for the pokecoins you are spending
the best bundles are 5400 for 99 passes, 625 for 10 passes, 999 for 15 passes and 1025 for 15 passes (also ranked from most to least efficient, but all of them are worth scooping up)

I take over 3 gyms
9 hrs later i beat 1 with my yellow acc. N place pokemon n vice versa. Always make my 50 coins for all accounts. Gyms are a 1/2 block away from my job so its extremely convenient also i have 8 pokestops areound me my go plus + n my catchmon x have my inventory full all the time.
Me and my son used to be in the same team, we would be at the gym next to our house for a week until someone would kick us out. I decided to change teams, best decision I have made on this game now we get our 50 coins daily 💪Thanks for the tips man you’re the real mvp💪

"Get a job" is always my favorite part of these videos! I always look forward to your prep videos because of that!
Actually, you can open 30 gifts per day, and can get between 50 - 150 each day depending on the incrementation of ball drops that day.
Some days I can get 3 or 6 balls from one gift, some days I can get 5 or 10. It is as always possible to get 0 though.
After opening 30 gifts you can view your player journal to see how many you got from each gift. I also use the postcard feature to make sure I only try to open 30.
Do I have to buy six tickets if I want to attend all three days mornings and afternoons?
Hi, a little bit of advice, please. I have two 4* magikarps that I have been keeping for years without evolving them, waiting for the community day move. Before I did not have enough mega energy to mega any of them so I didn't care they were not Gyarados, but now I do have the energy. Is the especial move worth it, or am I missing on a good 4* mega for no good reason? Should I evolve them or wait for the move to return? Thanks.
The legacy move is required in PvP. So if you care about that it's worth it. But for raids it's other water type move is preferred anyway. So, I suggest evolve one so that you can work on mega maxing it. Other can wait until community day I guess.

11:20 if you don’t want to or have mega energy to spend i created reminders on my phone for one day longer than the rest period and that way I was always reminded to mega evolve my pokemon for free

How many gifts can one hold? Is it still 20 or has it been upgraded to 40?
For reference you need around 50-60 ish raids for a lvl 50 legendary depending on luck on xl candies a mega during the raid or local raids where your guarantee to get xl candie upon finishing the raid befoee you catch the mon
If you have a mega level 3 it should be around 42 to get the 296 XLs. (7 candy per raid + catch). And if you can trade every single one then it should be 37. (8 per raid + catch)

@@mr.smiley8385 I did 103 shadow mewtwo raids with a mega3 latios active the whole weekends and got 720 XL candy, which works out to 7 XL per raid, I think I missed having the mega on for one raid. Someone on Reddit did the exact math for maxing a lvl 50 pokemon and it was the 37/42 numbers you see here. Seems about right according to my experience.
Sending pokemon to pokemon home give you Meltan box,

I always discard unova stones and I just checked again and already have 124 stones again
1892 is a lot of regular balls! Personally I find I don’t need that many. Every PokéStop will give you at least two balls. I find myself deleting the regular balls all the time because I’d rather have the greats and the ultras. I know you need to have regular balls for a lot of catching devices however, as long as those devices are also spinning stops I find you’re OK with about 300, max 500 regular balls.

My goal currently (before Go Fest) is to try and get a hundo Rayquaza when the raid day happens, but when the event actually happens, is try and get 3 Necrozma's that are good IV (probably hundo if possible) and if we get a Solgaleo/Lunala encounter, I'll pick Lunala, mostly because I already have a Solgaleo and also get a Lunala, you know to complete the duo. Obviously if I get a REALLY GOOD IV on it I won't use it, and probably will wait until we get more Cosmog given to players since I don't want to spend the lunar/solar energy and candy for Necrozma and then regret it because it was better than the previous one. Similar to Groudon and Kyogre during day 2 I will 100% try to get as much solar/lunar energy for one fusion. Fingers crossed for the best, even though yesterday I found a hundo Pidgey while getting home
