Why is it so surprising that there are fewer Black people in some European countries? Would you go to a country like Nigeria and expect to see a significant number of white people and be surprised if you don’t? No, because Nigeria is an African country, primarily inhabited by Black people. The same applies to Poland, which is a predominantly white country with a population that is largely native to the region.
Polish people are not racist; they tend to be straightforward. In many Slavic countries, people value directness, regardless of where you're from or your skin color. We don’t engage in what some might call "fake politeness"-we say what’s on our minds. We might say things that could offend you, but it’s not out of malice toward your ethnicity. For example, playing loud music in public spaces or on public transport is considered rude by most of us.
I’ve lived in the West for about five years, and in many cases, the people who were loud or disruptive weren’t native Europeans. So, if you find this shocking, that could be part of the reason. If you respect the local culture, you won’t face any issues. However, if you’re disrespectful, don’t be surprised if you hear things that might offend you or even be asked to leave the country if you're unhappy with the environment.
Enjoy your stay, and definitely visit Poland in the summer-it’s much better than in autumn or winter

Bro just called the exit from the huge shopping mall, with glass buildings and a big bus stop, 'looks like the 1400s.' 😂
There aren't that many Black people here, that is true, but not because of some obscure anti-immigration tactic or any other weird reason. Poland never had colonies, we never had Black slaves, etc., so there was no way for Black people to appear here en masse. And for the last two centuries, we have practically always been either under occupation, in the middle of a war, or having our economy in terrible shape-not exactly a place to attract a lot of immigrants. It's basically only in the last two decades that our economy has recovered and we could move forward, and become a cool place to live. So we are now catching up in attracting foreigners.
I'm glad you liked it here.
    xx, Lena

He came to Poland for a known purpose - as the title of this film says. He has barely set foot on Polish soil and has already started to complain. I hate such complacent and uneducated people - they think they are better, richer, better educated and have come to a backward country. Meanwhile, we are better educated and the standard of living is the same or higher in our country. But always such an imbecile has to look for a hole in the whole to prove his thesis.

You are even willing to freeze so we don't have to. Krackow proves to be very cosmopolitan. I would have been worried about the language barrier, but aren't we lucky everyone seems to understand English to varying degrees. They all show you respect because you give them respect. You've shown us how beautiful Krackow and the old town is in beautiful Poland. The architecture and history is awesome.

Who came up with racism..? In the Middle Ages until the 17th century racism did not exist, people were only categorized into those who were good, useful and bad, who were a threat to society.. Even in ancient and middle ages slaves were people of different backgrounds and ethnicities, it did not matter whether they were white, black or brown, because slaves were usually people captured in battle, or kidnapped from the field. Racism as we know it today began with the nobility of Great Britain, because the British felt better than others, later it passed to America with the British, Spanish and Portuguese colonists, after a few centuries Adolf Hitler was inspired by this, then the mass American media began to promote it and made racism an ideology that they transplanted to other continents and countries. In Poland and generally Slavic countries there was no racism, only curiosity about other people from different countries, including black people, of whom there were not many in Poland. Anyone who knows the history of Poland knows that Polish soldiers serving under Napoleon Bonaparte were ordered to crush and suppress a slave revolt in French Haiti, but they did not do so because they saw that these people were fighting for freedom and these Poles broke the order of the French and joined the black slaves in Haiti, and they won.

Before the invasion of "neighbors from the east" and the increasingly numerous arrivals from Asia. Assaults, beatings, knives, rapes, drunk driving... The situation in public safety in Poland is getting worse and worse. It's not super safe anymore. No one was afraid for the fate of children, daughters, wives and mothers on the streets. Neither during the day, nor in the evenings and at night. Now it's changing. In Polish culture, even criminals had their rules, no one attacked children, women, men with families. Asia and Africa has no scruples. They can rape his wife in front of her husband, kill his husband in front of his children, this is emigration barbarity. Fortunately, the most drastic events have not yet occurred in Poland, which is not uncommon in the West.

Beers on the square in summer are the best. Only rule is only Wilsa for football not the other team. Salt mines are ace (mate was a guide), Park Wodny (water park is class too). Too much to do. Writing half way through video but there's a market in the building in the middle of the square I'll call it the cloth hall you'll like it. Castle too with the Dragon.

There is a group of people in Poland, who are very loud in siocial media etc., who believe that Poland is the worst and most racist country in the world and it is basically a shame to be Pole. Some time ago I found a YT channel, of some black women from France, who moved to Poland. She told, that when she decided to move to Poland, most reactions from people around her in France were postive. Except of one woman (i think the nurse in hospital in France), who was constantly reapeting that Poland is not place for her, full of racist, who will not let her live here. She turned out to be Polish living in France... When the black women i'm talking about arrived to Poland, it appeared, that all threads from that nurse were lies. I never understand why some Polish people are acting to the detriment of their own country...

Hey Eddy, good to see you galavanting in my old country! I can't believe you went to Poland in November without a jacket and gloves. I thought you knew it was cold there or I would have let you know.
It's funny that you keep asking if there are black people there... lol.. Poland is historically a white country so any black people you see have immigrated there or are visiting. I didn't see a black person until I was maybe 10 years old when I grew up there. If you think about it, it's not much different than when you go to many countries in Africa and you primarily only see black people there (and white people are stared at, from what I hear).
By the way, your Polish pronunciation is pretty good. The money is złoty (PLN is just an international code, really standing for Poland). In Polish the letter "W" is pronounced V... So Wawel Castle is pronounced "vavel." Kraków is pronounced "Krak-oof" in Polish.
Glad you had a great time in Poland. Look forward to you next visit to Poland.

What you experienced customer-service wise is fairly typical, they don't really do small talk the way the UK and Ireland do.

To be honest, nobody care about your opinion if my country is racist or not. We a not racist but tired for this title. Change your title, is Poland racist..... We decide if it is and not a visiter. Hope you enjoy your trip in Poland and see a lot of beatiful things but please stopp with this is poland racist, i can't hear this anymore. Go to germany and ask this but not in Poland. Only because we protecting our borders and love our religion, don't mean we are racist. For sure black people are racist, if i visit countrys in africa, everybody is looking on me and for sure nit everybody was happy to see me. We are poles, we are white, katolic and love our culture and is also good like that.

Give a break with this church bs. Nowdays less then 30% supporting catolic church and this percentage is less and less every year. And thast fine - nobody likes people who protect pedeefs in their organisation…. And one last thing - nobody cares about your opinion.

Dude how did you not check the whether. That probably is the first thing people do when traveling to a different country before packing.💀💀💀 Well, I hope you will check it the next time you visit a foreign country for your own good. People in the comments already explained why there aren't many black people in Poland so not gonna add to that I can only think of one other reason besides the thing people said and that is The time Poland was under the Iron Curtain. No one wanted to visit a communist and impoverished country It was rough for a while after communism too.

Polska to taki kraj, że wewnetrznie możemy się między sobą kłucic. I to czasami o bzdury. Ale jak ktoś nie respektuje naszych zwyczajów i zasad, to solidarnie od nas dostanie prezent, i to zupełnie gratis. Ten prezent nazywa się wpierdol.
