The first time I visited the Grampians was about a decade ago. I stayed at Paradise Caravan park in a retro caravan. Loved the place and took heaps of photos. Did go into Hall's Gap and took some trails and after my years of walking Flinders Ranges, found it terribly crowded. These days I'm in a van with pets so many places are off limits. Dunkeld is my favourite town, free hot showers, and Izzys cafe is THE BEST! Hall's Gap I mostly leave to the tourists😀
Ohh we will have to venture into Dunkeld! a hot shower on the road is like GOLD! and yes i can imagine with the pets it would really limit things which is unfortunate!! what pets do you have?! jamie is a BIG dog lover!
Another brilliant place to visit in Victoria. Your walk to the Splitter Falls would have been tough on that day in the heat! Subscribing to you guys, really enjoy the stuff and you're from Vic as well!

The Grampians are stunning, we stayed for a week during Spring. We drove to the look outs at the crack of drawn. We loved every minute of the Grampians : it was the first time to visit. You may enjoy a town called Walhalla, its a town Hollywood filmed Liam Neeson newest movie called Ice Road 2. Its 2 and half hour from Melbourne. Heaps of free camping grounds, gold mines, old style shops, steam train, Thompson Dam is near by. Its very pretty town.
oh awosme, its wild how many movies he has filmed here isnt it!! that sounds amazing yeah the grandpians is where we feel in love with camping so it holds a massive place in our harts. thats for the suggestion on Walhalla!

Hi guys, just came across your vid’s, absolutely love your energy, and great to see you guys explore our beautiful state!! We don’t see much camping videos around Victoria so you have inspired us to visit plenty of places already. Not sure if you have checked out this place yet and is on the way to the Grampians, but check out Green Hill Lake (Ararat) as far as I’m aware is a gold coin donation camp not free but as close as your going to get to free😂. There is also a lookout in the area called One Tree Hill lookout( worth the look especially at sunset) btw bring jumpers and jackets coz it gets pretty cold even in summer!! Hope they can give you some inspo the next time you visit the Grampians. Keep those videos coming!!

Yeah that sign states there is "no camping beyond the fence" of that area, so you can't get right up to the water but there are plenty of big open spots in the area that is designated for free camping before you hit the fenced off part! :)
