I do not hate Zidane for beating my team Brazil. Matter of fact, I watched him more after that '98 WC. I loved his skills and to this day, enjoy watching his vids here on youtube.

I wonder how everyone here portraying Ronaldo9 as the best ever, but why anyone couldn't say that Zidane destroyed whole Brazilian Team in 2006 and 1998??? It is his humbleness that he says about other's, but for me and in reality he was The best ever to grace the football pitch.
He cannot be the best ever because there are 3 of them certainly better than him (Pele, Messi, Maradona) and because there are a handful of other that are in the same level. Players like Cruyff, Di Stefano, Garrincha, Zico...even Platini.
Brazil 1982 was a phenomenal team.

Here's my compliment to Zidane: Nobody has been able to make the Brazilian team look so bad and helpless on the field besides Zidane. Without Zidane controlling the game and scoring goals in that 98 world cup, the French would NEVER won that world cup against Brazil.

@El Fenomeno Zidane and pogba are son different players. Pogba is more physical, has more speed than zidane, but zidane's touch is unique. Obviously Pogba can do many skills wich are popular nowdays for the kids, but his control and touch is far less better than zizou. No comparaison to do, zidane = art and pogba = strenght

Agree with u but ronaldo only had 2 golden balls in 1997 and 2002. Zidane won only 1 in 1998 due to his incredible performance for juve and his unforgettable performance for the french national team. He couldve won in 2006 but the headbutt incident vs materazzi. He has also won fifa player of the year a couple of times (3 i think).
Should of deserved 2000. Only that red card against Hamburg in the Champions league coasted him the Ballon D'or. Figo didn't deserve it that year!

Zizou played against and with Ronaldo and now is the Manager of my team and he sees Cr7 everyday and if you ask him who is the better of the two he would give you the same answer as he did here in this interview. Ronaldo is by far the greatest player i ever watched play. It's crazy how true it is that when you play a good team you tend to raise your game and play really well whereas if you play a shitty team you sometimes end up not playing a good game even if in other peoples eyes you played a good game but you know you could of played better

Everybody plays better against Brazil! They have set the standard in the competition, they have reached the finals 7 times and won 5, but recently the Brazilian team hasn't produced anything special, part of it is the corruption in Brazilian football, young players leaving early to play in Europe and living in Europe for so long that they no longer relate to Brazil anymore. Same has happened to Argentina and Uruguay. There will still be excellent players coming from those nations but overall Europe will dominate the competition from now on, for many years they were equally strong, not any more. European nations lead 11 to 9 and the last 3 were won by European teams. Unless South American confederations clean up their mess that is how it's going to be.

Brazil has now the 3rd best player in the world (for some people he's the best and he will be the best in a couple of years), has the best RB (Daniel Alves), the best LB (Marcelo), one of the best CB in the world (T. Silva), Coutinho kicking ass in the EPL, William and Oscar playing very well, Douglas Costa elected the best player in 1st Round Bundesliga, one of the top strikers in Europe is Brazilian - Alex Teixeira, Firmino is playing really well on Liverpool...
Just because BRAZIL lost by 7 that Semi-final, it doesn't mean Brazil doesn't produce good things anymore.
Brazil have been a psychologicaly weak team against teams like uruguay. 1950 shows that aswell as a recent match in march 2016 in the world cup qualfiers. uruguay had no defence no godin no gimenez etc etc they had subs but they did have suarez. Brazil had all their players and they were playing in recife. Brasil scored in the first second then scored again around the 20th minute. Then moments later cavani scored making it 2-1. Uruguay had several chances. Then in the second half everything changed. Uruguay scored and equalized. The cause was that brazil were weak in their minds they didn't beat uruguay in their game of phycology because uruguay new that brasil were weak in their minds and knew that if uruguay scored brasil would get nervous. Uruguay nearly scored again and uruguay coudl have won the match 3-2
although having no defender making it easy for brasil to attack
