Karen Hedden or Four Tet, for me it is subliminal in electronic music in the 21st century, has a mastery, innovation, creativity, and an extreme good taste! both as DJ of Vinyl and of CD´s with the programs in the laptop but all that, technology that only the quality electronic music (Nicolas Jaar, Max Cooper, Pantha du Prince, Aphex Twin, Burial, Boards of Canada, etc .. .) and some more enlightened ones, they manage to extract sounds that are very sensitive to the brain and the body! that make me both smile (without drugs) and feel both happy and nostalgic! Thanks to all of these super talented artists! of the art of music. (I had the great pleasure of seeing a set in Lisbon / Portugal) it stirred my emotions! PEACE.
I was in love with his music from the first track I've heard long time ago. His production tips and workflow are gold. Very charismatic bloke. I hope to hear him live some day.
When I was first becoming interested in djing, I watched this video time and time again, not sure why, maybe something to do with kieran talking with such passion about records but, for whatever reason, made a huge difference to my perspective on playing music for a living (not that I do that now ofc)
That don cherry is a must if you like jazz and African music combined!!!! It took me 20 years to find a copy and it was fairly expensive but I listen to regularly and get so much listening pleasure it justified the price !!!! I would recommend anything by don cherry!!!!
Yep. That Don Cherry album (Organic Music Society) is terrific. My dad used to play that record when I was a child. But of course I hated it back then.
It's way too easy to claim serato or usb's somehow disconnects you and isn't a moving set... Ridiciulous, of course you can do the same level of engagement and care with the crowd.
Recently read Viv Albertine's biography and she upset Don Cherry on the tourbus when she expressed her feelings about heroin addiction.. dude was messed up and still made brilliant records!
Musical genius. Legendary producer with brilliant tunes.
and part time serial killer. *jesus*

Park Place is the name of the record company. The 4th in your list is Henderson & Whitfield, Dancing to the Beat, released by Park Place Records 👍
First track is Pinnacles by Four Tet, 2nd is Ye Ye, by Daphni. They were released on the same 12", on Four Tet's label Text.
AdzoHeatzo daphni aka caribou
Also on his ace LP 'Pink'
What an insightful genius, I love his mindset. Very positive +++
