Wait so it's like the duel links of pkmn tcg? For those who don't know, duel links is essentially a simplified version of yugioh which has a 20-30 card deck size limit, half as many LP, a 4 card starting hand, and no main phase 2. It ended up being pretty popular on release and got a lot of people back into YGO. I wonder if pkmn is aiming for something similar.
But Duel Links has a sort of offline campaign mode right? it seems more of a Marvel Snap
@@Kamiyouni not really a campaign. It's more like there are npcs that spawn every now and again that you can duel but it isn't really a linear progression. I don't play much marvel snap and since this is a simplified version of an already existing game duel links was what I thought of first.
So basically this is the yugioh duel links version of pokemon tcg

I was kinda confused why they made another Pokemon TCG mobile game when there already is one that is relatively recent but from the sounds of it, this one is made for more casual play.

I love the thought that in Japan this is like technically call pocket monster pocket. Hm only 3 points sounds like my playing style i try to aim for where i attack the branch might become a meta thing? I wonder how many pokemon are going beable to attack the bench in this game.
you know when they add trading you are going to have people who have multiple phones opening those free pack and trading with themselves lol

You could make different google play accounts and have different windows open on a Google chrome book plus have your phone out

The one out now for years is OK. This is a good refresh for me as I didn't get to play the current one at launch so I'm way behind.
Why Gamexplain had a blackout during Switch 2 news these past days?
Because none of it is official news. It's all conjecture, leaks, speculation, etc.
I am not a big TCG player
I like how they are trying to unify the Japanese and English players, I mean they even fused the back of the card design
being able to see Inside the card Is a gimmick I can see myself never using
Are you not going to acknowledge the leaks
What's the point? If the leaks turn out to be wrong, the videos become useless and outdated. If the leaks are true, then all that's happening is you're getting the same discussions, only earlier. And then when official announcements DO drop, they will have already covered all the main points, so most of their talking points will be repeats.

I wonder what the art style for the trainer is. I hope its more akin to the signature Sugimori style in SWSH/PLA era.
Also, it wasnt mentioned but, i suppose theres no sort of offline campaign mode or something. Its entirely matches done with other players.

Why is it "funny enough" that pokemon company teamed up with DeNA for this?
This is going to be very addicting
For example for people like me, we get dopamine hits buying, opening, going through each card and the build up to the hit card is also a dopamine hit on top of getting that good hit card.
Then rather there's a hit or not the mind is going to want more of the same process because of the dopamine it got from that process.
…can you trade? Part of me wants it to be like real cards and they are traceable of sellable, but the. I worry about people paying for digital cards…there are real ones lol
