Thanks, bro! All is well here, and I hope the same for you 💯🤙🤙🤙
hobbywing 1080 and a crawlmaster expert 13t and you will never look back with the trx4.
I'll definitely go hobbywing when I can, and I'll look into the crawlmaster. I appreciate the suggestions 💯🤙🤙🤙
Were you using a Traxxas battery or some other brand with an adapter? If you were using an adapter that may have been subpar, that could have been the cause of your ESC Failure as well.
I was using Traxxas batteries
Nah its not possible.... The BEC in the ESC limits what the servo gets. I have had many trucks among many years and have never had a servo cause an ESC to go bad. Traxxas' "Premium" ESC was faulty, plain and simple. Fanboys will never admit to it but that is the plain hard truth. Before you spend 30 bucks on another xl5 go get you a Hobbywing 1080 or Hobbywing Fusion, you will be way more pleased!!!!
Within 1 week my motor on my brand new $550 Traxxas Blazer siezed and I had to replace it with no warranty, Luckily the motors are cheap!! If you do have to replace the motor, go with a Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster and a Hobbywing 1080 if you want to stay brushed, if not, go with a Hobbywing fusion SE 1200 or 1800.
The majority of people I have talked to say it's just Traxxas crap electronics. I talked to Traxxas, and the guy said he us gonna ask them to just replace it free cause it was just outside the 30 days, so we'll see 🤷♂️
I eventually do want to go with Hobbywing 💯
@@RedsRCVlog You wont regret it!!!
6 volt, 7.4 volt. 8 volt didn't matter. That's just the voltage they'll take. The esc will provide whatever voltage it's made to. The servo is rated at its maximum voltage. At 6 volts that 45kg servo is really a 25-30 kg servo.
That's just crap Traxxas electronics. My Xmaxx came out the box with a dead esc. They warrantied it but i bought a Max 6 and put in it and practically gave the Traxxas one away. Crap esc's and plastic geared servos. That's the Traxxas way.
Just buy a Hobbywing Fusion SE for $75 and you'll be happier and last forever.
I eventually want to upgrade the electronics. Just have to wait till I can afford it. I've been looking at that Hobbywing 2 in 1 setup. Thanks for your comments and watching!
