- I couldn't find much info online about the 1-800-PACK-RAT 8ft container inner dimensions, so I took some measurements and made a video. I hope this is helpful!

Thanks for making this video. I have an 8 ft container soon to be delivered, but I start to wonder if it will have enough space for my stuff. May I ask how many boxes and things you put, roughly. Thank you so much.
No problem! We had around 30 boxes in large and medium sizes, which would have barely taken up three rows if we had stacked them all the way to the ceiling in the back of the container. It was the bulkier items that really took up space (desk, chairs, bikes, mattress, etc.)
was a street permit from the city required to have this placed there? if so was if the customer responsibility to secure the permit or did pack rat take care of it?
I'm not sure of the specific laws and ordinances around that, but I got permission from my building manager to put the container in the yellow loading zone outside my building. I'm sure rules around container placement vary wildly situation to situation, but I can tell you that PackRat will not take care of any permitting for you.
Dimensions of the opening would be helpful as well. Clearly not the same as the inside or outside dimensions.
I didn’t think to measure the opening while I had the container, but I’d estimate it to be 6-8 inches smaller in both height and width than the inner dimensions.
