- This is an unreleased track that I recorded directly from the game and then edited lightly (level, fade in/out) using Audacity. It has already been uploaded on TH-cam by other people, but only in a shorter version as far as I know.
It takes place in the game when Geralt meets an oneiromancer in Novigrad, Corinne Tilly, and describes to her some memories about Ciri. The name of the mission is 'Novigrad Dreaming', hence the name I gave the track.
During this scene, the music actually passes through 3 distinct phases:
phase 1: (starts at 0:00) mysterious music without percussion; general introduction to the scene; this is where Geralt asks Corinne what oneiromancy is about. As long as you don't move to the next phase of the game, this music plays on repeat (it is only played once in this version of the track).
phase 2: (starts at 1:50) enter percussions and various string instruments, as well as mysterious/ominous voices (but no female voice yet). This is where Geralt describes several important memories he has about Ciri. Here again, as long as you don't move on to the next phase of the dialogs, this music plays on repeat.
phase 3: (starts at 5:18) this phase is very similar to the previous one and the two merge seamlessly, but it adds the violins and the female voice. It starts when Geralt is asked about Ciri's powers, and it plays on repeat until the dream (it is interrupted during the dream), then again after the dream, until the end of the scene.
IMO those kind of 'hypnotic' tracks are best appreciated in a longer form, which is why I let each phase repeat several times (except the first phase, which serves more as an introduction).

GreenTea It’s the same music that plays in the side quest, ‘Carnal Sins.” Search “Witcher 3 OST Carnal Sins”, it’s the first result.

This piece of music fully encompasses the prophecy of Lara Doren and the Elderblood of Ciri. I could totally see this playing during a season finale as Ciri’s bloodline and prophecy are revieled to the fans somehow... then the credits roll!
I love everything about this man. It'd make a great ambient track for a DnD game, in some Elven ruins or something. Definitely using it!
They really nailed so much of the soundtrack. I loved exploring Elven Ruins in W3 because of their mysterious but not "oooh spooky" vibes. They're beautiful and sad, with some danger. Wish this was on the official soundtrack. Hail to Caranthir is also missing and it's the single best boss-tracj in the game.

I keep coming back every evening since I discovered this video, and it will be a (much needed) good memory from 2021.
I was using this audio for practise writing for a draft and found it suprisingly effective and calming yet mysterious enough for me to use it as a writing tune. Thanks!

I always thought the song in the game fits very well with the original saga especially the begining part. Now knowing that they used bits of that song makes it even better.

As explained in the description, I recorded it in the quest "Novigrad Dreaming". It's possible that the same music is used in other quests, but I can't remember.

Is there a longer version of the first part?
Not that I know of. Unfortunately I lost the source files that I had recorded for this track, so I cannot recreate it easily. That being said, if you're on PC, it's quite easy to record the music of the game by yourself. You just have to go to the audio settings of the game and mute everything except the music, then reach the part of the game where the music plays, and use a software such as Audacity (free) to record it and edit it. That's how I did it.

if it was unreleased how tf did u record it in game lol.
He prob recorded the gameplay while not moving or doing anything and then in description it says he used audacity to edit to make it flow
