Hey everyone, long time no see! This used to be a Members-only tutorial, originally released in April 2023. I hope y'all enjoy it! New videos coming soon!
So do you think Mark Fit Strong would be safe on acrylic paints if I give them a good gloss varnish cover before applying the Mark Fit Strong ? I got glossy polyurethane varnish from Vallejo... Thanks mate !
Hey Ekei, I believe so - I have used it before on acrylics without issues. Remember that that Vallejo varnish needs 48h to cure completely, though! (pretty good stuff, actually. If you haven't yet, try the Mecha line one).
I apologize for all the girth comment spam you're probably getting. KiriothTV (who you should be watching if you're not) was spreading the love for channels that really deserve more, and you came up. Sadly, the chat was full of degenerates, and it devolved rapidly into... Whatever this comment section is now. On multiple channels.
I see...well, thank you (I guess!). As for the girth comments, I still have not idea what to make of them...😂. And of course I know Kirioth - one of very few hobby news channels I like!
Dude there's a much easier way to do this. Every step the same up to application soak the decal spread some water on the area transfer the decal to surface position it easily due to the water soak away the excess water leave to dry completely put a layer of your choice of decal softener on the decal leave for 30 seconds using a damp piece of paper towel press really hard on the decal sorted, it conforms to everything, dries the decal and removes the shiny layer from the decal in one hit. proceed with weathering etc with this method you don't even need a gloss coat, the pressure squeezes the decal down hard and so no air remains below the decal so no silvering or wrinkles or any associated flaws. It even works perfectly with ultramarine pauldron decals, one of the most annoying decals ever
Thanks, but that will most definitely NOT work with anything that has texture to it...and both dreadnoughts had actual rust (obviously with texture) applied to them.

I love this thicc, rough and ready Girthy lad. Kirioth loves using us Girthy Members to support you
Thanks for this video, mate. I've been having some difficulty with decals, so this video is a godsend.
You are most welcome, my friend! 😉
Fantastic video!
Thanks a lot, Jojojo!
That's the Girthiest Girth Boi in all of WarGirth 40k! Girthioth daddy would be proud.
beautiful work! Blame Kirioth praising your channel for the random girth additions...
Thanks a lot! As for the girth comments...not sure what to make of that! 😅
Very Nice look on them! Great to have a step by step on your decal procedure
Thanks, Alex! It remains one of my favorite steps in the process, gotta say.

Superchat that has the word girth in it.
Dude there's a much easier way to do this.
Every step the same up to application
soak the decal
spread some water on the area
transfer the decal to surface
position it easily due to the water
soak away the excess water
leave to dry completely
put a layer of your choice of decal softener on the decal
leave for 30 seconds
using a damp piece of paper towel press really hard on the decal
sorted, it conforms to everything, dries the decal and removes the shiny layer from the decal in one hit.
proceed with weathering etc
with this method you don't even need a gloss coat, the pressure squeezes the decal down hard and so no air remains below the decal so no silvering or wrinkles or any associated flaws.
