Dior homme 2020 is a slept on fragrance. 1 of my most complimented scents out of 70+ fragrances. Definitely more masculine than Dior Homme intense. 2020 is more versatile and can definitely be a signature scent. Try it for yourself dont listen to all the negative hype around it on YT.
dior homme intense only on night out, the 2020 is for everyday office type stuff.
I have only had dior Homme 2020 for 4 months and it is already my most complimented scent lol. Some night I have gone out & gotten multiple compliments and/or questions about what fragrance I’m wearing. The performance is shockingly good on my skin for a fresh, woodsy fragrance.

I recently purchased this fragrance and I had no idea about the old version and the reputation Dior HM 2020 has received but I’m glad it’s getting the Justice it deserves because I’ve used it and have received many compliments while wearing it!! People love it but don’t want to admit it!!

Despite what some fragheads say, DH 2020 is a masterpiece.
Dior Homme 2020 is an overall great fragrance. I wear it professionally and casually. It has great longevity on my skin. I’ve been complimented on it multiple times and, more importantly, my wife loves it! My signature scent for sure. I understand the gripe some have about it’s deviation from Iris. But IMO, the scent profile for DH 2020 is more fitting for its name than its predecessors.

Dior Homme 2020 was good enough to be my first real designer scent I purchased. I had mostly cheapies prior. It’s perfect for cooler summer nights and fall. It lasts forever for me too

As huge enthusiast of the old Dior homme formula, i must say I’m hooked to the new version! I have never gotten so many compliments as I do with the new formula- it’s a magnet at the office. I have yet to get a negative compliment.

I'm not surprised Homme 2020 was so popular, I put off trying it for ages because of the negative reactions of fragrance reviewers but when i did smell it i realised it was a masterpiece and is one of the best designer scents ever made, I bought a 150ml bottle straight away.
DH2020 is a safe and pretty boring fragrance, so fragrance reviewers poopoo it for not being groundbreaking. It is a safe fragrance that most people how don't wear fragrances will like. A lot of the general public won't like fragrances that fragrance reviewers like due to their limited pallets.
I will add myself to the list, I got DH2020 before I even found out about the re formulation. I really like it, it takes me to the beaches of Cozumel on a nice breezy night walking on the white sand, holding hands with a beautiful woman. It’s a very casual but serious fragrance but very easy going and it takes good to my skin.

Thank you for doing a reactions video on with DH2020. The community dismisses it compared to other blue fragrances (Y, Sauvage, BDC) but clearly people like it.
The DH sport sprayed was the older 2017 but the picture is 2021. The scents are completely different.
The first time I smelled DH2020 I fell in love, it's like Tere D'Hermes but richer. I don't understand all that hate just because of the name, it doesn't make sense. In the end, people around us just smell the fragrance and like it, they don't care about the name and that's the essence of perfume in my opinion.
Imagine Ferrari announced a rerelease of their most iconic, most beloved, most revered (you get the point lol) car of all time - I don’t know cars/Ferrari, so let’s say it was some model from the 1960’s.
They did a promo video for this rerelease and everything looked phenomenal and exactly how it should! The hype is real!!
The wait is over! It’s been officially released and after years and years of waiting, those die hard Ferrari fans can _FINALLY_ get their hands back on this rare, previously discontinued pinnacle of Ferrari.
And then… nothing. People got the car and they opened it up and bam - it’s a _COMPLETELY_ different engine, a different sound, different speed, the list goes on.
Even if it was the best engine on the planet, the fact is that it’s _NOT_ what the fans were promised nor what they were expecting, and the issue is compounded infinitely when you take into account that it was the “1960-whatever 🐐 Ferrari”.
So boring some people are . They do not even stop to listen what he want to say

The girl at 11:11 was probably into fragrances and her pick wasn't any surprise. Polarizing scent for sure, but a 10/10 in my opinion
but if she really was into fragrances then her vote shouldn't count because he nose is acquired to the smell of fragrances and some fragrances you have to be acquired to enjoy the smell of. That's why I say fragheads are the worst people to take fragrance advice from since their noses are basically broken due to smelling so many fragrances they basically can appreciate even the worst fragrances due to being acquired in smell to all notes. The best advice for fragrances is from someone who knows nothing about fragrances this will give you the most realistic impression whether it's good or bad

@@fragman4521 yeah you pretty much always want the first impression, but for someone that knows fragrances it may not be their first impression if they're used to smell of these notes. For example dior homme intense that iris note takes a long time to actually enjoy the smell of, however once you start to like the smell of iris then you can basically smell any other fragrance with iris and appreciate it. For someone who's never smelled iris before, they probably won't like it. At least most people won't like it

Ditto. i have a sample as part of a delivery and right now i'm so glad i just got a tester first. Gives me second thoughts about blind buying Parfum too if i ever get a chance, though i'd be getting that almost entirely to get a leather scent. But it might not be my style in the end.

Good video and fair play to your efforts going around on a Friday night asking people too i wouldn't like to do that I'd feel quite awkward lol it doesn't surprise me that both dior homme 2020 and sport did the best i think the intense has got a big reputation among the fragrance community its highly rated but for me I'm not that keen on it i prefer both the 2020 and the sport myself and i thought most ordinary people would, a lot of women would think the iris note in the intense is a bit feminine it's kind of an acquired taste where's the other 2 fragrances are masculine scents instinctively

I have used all of them from Dior. And I strongly want to mention here it's the 2020 which was complemented most of the times. However I don't understand why in fragrance community Dior 2020 is been defamed so much. Personally I feel Dior Homme 2020 is the best.

In your thumbnail you clearly show the 2021 Sport version but in the video you spray on the 2017 version, which might be a little confusing for people who don't know that they are two quite different fragrances.

Good video. The Dior Homme line is not as popular as many people think. There is a reason (sales) that many fragrances of the Dior Homme line are multiple times reformulated. Sauvage is the chicken with the golden eggs for Dior.

This is an amazing comparison. Dior Homme Intense often makes the "greatest of all time" list by frag experts, but not here. On the streets, Diore Homme wins by a landslide. I wonder why there's a disconnect between the experts and the public?
Women tend to like fresh and clean scents. If you let them choose between DHI, Prada l'homme and Versace Dylan blue most of them will prefer Dylan blue, which would be the statistical last voice for enthusiasts. Fresh/clean/masculine (woods/leather) > gourmand and floral accords (which tend to have an androgynous touch). It's really a shame because many "blue" fragrances are just boring, but it is how it is

I've got 2020 and sport. I can't smell 2020 on myself so it's a flat experience, although a girl in work gives me compliments. Sport is very lemony and long lasting for me. Haven't tried it in the summer yet, think it would be great for summer. Intense is next on my list.

Maybe the reformulated Intense version is used anyway, but I know personally the newer one is much fresher and more liked by most women than the old formula (which on the other hand is often more liked within the fragrance community).

As much as i like DHI , companies like Dior are not stupid. The Iris in the dior homme line is being phased out for a reason , im not surprised by the results.
I have never tried DH and DHS) I tried DHI from the 2011 version to the new one. I went to the store a couple of times, tried it, and finally bought it. This was a purchase for myself. I don’t care what others think about this fragrance, I personally get great pleasure when I use it) Thank you for the interesting review)

It's an acquired taste. It certainly was for me, anyway, as I grew to love it. I agree that the iris can smell feminine, but it's all about perspective. If a woman smells it on a man that she respects, that makes all the difference.

@SPACEDOUT19 I highly disagree. The man in 2020 needed to be revamped. This 2020 says "Homme" to me more than the original. Dior decided to go simple, straight to the point, just like a man. Giving you the essence of what most masculine scents are. Woody, citrusy, fresh, and musky.

Genius if you ask me. It literally smells like a man, and that's it. Giving the market something extremely useful in a market thats over saturated with sweet, powdery, blue, aquatic, and marine. It's the simple generic classic. We didn't know we needed. Ahead of its time ironically.
I’m gonna buy Dior Homme Sport 2021 (2022) for next summer. The others I already have. Homme 2020 is a bit too mature for me but I did wear it daily in the autumn of 2020.

1) You chose the 2017 version of Dior Homme Sport with Red markings, not the 2021 DHS. However, 2017 is better than 2021 in scent profile. 2021 is same as the current Dior Homme with woody, ISO E Super heavy generic smell, but lasts longer than 2017 one.
2) Dior Homme Intense (old or new) is one of the best creations ever.

I didn't notice that he used the 2017 for this test, so I'm glad you pointed that out. I have the 2021 version and I really like it. For what it's worth, Fragrantica users rate the 2021 version higher than the 2017 (4.34 vs. 4.09). Perhaps that's because it's more like DH2020.
The real battle (finale) to me would be the Original edt VS the new edt (since they're both edt's). Also let them smell of your skin

I was gifted Dior Homme Intense for my bday last week and i love the smell didn’t know what it was gonna smell like but it’s good.
I just picked up intense in the Cancun airport and I’m really liking this frag bec of the uniqueness.. 2020 is good but it is def more mainstream.. still undecided on 2020 as I already have BDC and there are def similarities.
