Believe it or not, Donnie Yen and Wu Jing are true martial artists that is why you can see their way of fighting is very smooth and fluid. SPL or Killzone is a pretty scary movie from beginning til the end.
Some Early wu Jing flicks are insane. He as well as Donnie are the REAL DEAL!!!!!
This fight scene was actually mostly improvised which shows wu jing and Donnie yens skill
Donnie Yen is a legit black belt in Karate, Muay Thai, Judo, master in spear, katana and other weaponry, Parkour practicioner, BJJ, MMA. And he action scene choreographer, movie director and plays piano very well. Donnie Yen is a huge fan of Bruce Lee: the serie "Ip Man" is a tribute to Bruce Lee's master.
hes very skillful in 14 different kinds of styles. he certainly has earned his stripes.
Donnie Yen and Wu Jing are actually the names of the actors in this clip. Look up Donnie Yen and you'll get a ton of his movies. He's a super popular actor. Flash Point is a classic.

The look on Ashtyn’s face when Wu Jing spun the knife backwards and caught it while being pushed back against the neck with Donnie’s baton... I know she was utterly shocked
One of the most visceral and intense fight sequences.
Fun fact about this movie, its unchoreographed from the whole fight, donnie fighting his friend for fun.
One of my Favorite Fights scenes...I miss that Collapsable Batons used to be available anywhere....

@@aaronbarlow4376 It's true tough. They did not fight for real, but the whole sequence is improvised on the spot. They truly used their real reflexes and tried to hit each other (with fake weapons) but still, no choreography, just pure instinct.
It is a real fight but they film it part by part.
Like 1 Scene then rest for 30 minute and second scene..

Yeah I saw an interview done on this, and you can clearly see 4:34 Wu Jing (guy in white) give him a subtle head nod to signal to return to script/choreographed fight which also happened to be the climax of the fight. That whole 20 seconds scene is exactly why it's one of my favorite edged weapon fight scene ever. The sudden change in dynamic was so interesting seeing it the first time, when things were fluent and clearly scripted and suddenly it felt incredibly real, where neither sides wants to get hit and are on defense with jabs here and there to test the water.
Donnie is the man! Go check him out, this guy will blow your mind!!

Wu Jing the creepy guy is just as good as Donnie. Sometimes hes a good guy and bad guy in the movies
So that you know Jon, this movie has a twist in the end, if you see it you wont be so sure about Donnie wins everytime
