    Very detailed and specific.
    Gives instructions as though we are all beginners and doesn't assume we are all experts...much appreciated.
    Great teacher and am looking forward to her other videos.

    At first I thought this was going to be the "10-minute block", but was pleasantly surprised to see how easy you made this and accomplished the same look without a lot of fiddling to make it work. Nice going! I was at Walmart this week and did some impulsive purchasing in their fabric department. They had select pre-cuts of Waverly Fabrics on sale at half price or lower, so in addition to the fat quarters at $0.50 each, I got 15 one-yard cuts at $1 each! It was too good to pass up, right?. Hope you were able to get in on the same sale. Thanks for showing us this simple-to-assemble block that is also very attractive.

    Lovely! How do you keep your rotary cutters sharp?

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Patricia. You can purchase a rotary cutter sharpener on Amazon but in my experience they don't work very well. I recommend reading through reviews first before purchasing one. Hope this information helps.

    Can I stack my 6.5 strips on top of each other and cut (8 layer stack) or do your way…4 stack 6.5 strips?

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Pee Wee. I recommend stacking 2 to 4 layers of fabric. Sometimes when you stack more than 4 the fabric will get distorted and the cuts are not exact. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

    How should the 3.5 inch squares be cut?

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kevak. Cut one fat quarter into 3 1/2" wide strips. Stack the strips and cut squares -- keep moving your ruler over every 3 1/2" until you have all the squares cut. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

    What size do your fat quarters measure. Ours in Canada measure 18x22

    • @stitchitch7010
      @stitchitch7010 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      US fat quarters are the same size 😊

    • @maplelassuk
      @maplelassuk 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They vary in Uk! The higher the fabric quality the larger they often are. I get some as big as 20 X 22.

    I'm struggling with the number of squares you cut out for this table runner. You said we need twenty 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" squares total, but It looks like you cut out six 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" squares of each of the four fabrics which would be 24 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" squares. Will I end up with one extra 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" square from each of the four fabrics (not including the center)?

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Ibake4fun. There are a total of 5 finished blocks in the table runner. To create each block you will need (4) 6 1/2" squares, and for the center of each block you will need
      (4) 3 1/2" squares. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍

      OK, thank you. I am in the process of making this right now! So far so good! Love your channel - you're a great instructor.
