Thank you very much. I really appreciate the feedback and I'm glad people are getting something out of my Fusion 360 tutorials. Have a great day ;-) Cheers, Aaron.
Your tutorials are the BEST! I love how you talk through everything you're doing (key presses and intent). I learn the fastest from your videos, by far.
Hey Tim, thank you so much for the wonderful feedback. It makes me so happy to hear that my videos are helping people. Thanks for taking the time watch and provide feedback. Cheers, Aaron.
I'm supposed to be in the shop.....but I didn't get a chance to watch this earlier and I didn't want to wait any longer!! You did not disappoint!!! Great video Aaron! Thanks!
I have been following many others - I prefer yours as you keep it right on the mark not too looooong but not missing anything - showing the right speed so a newcomer can follow - and remind us of common mistakes we all make ! Great keep it coming
G'day Robert. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video tutorial. I really appreciate the feedback mate. I'm a high school shop teacher in my day job, so I made these tutorials so both teachers and students could follow along. I'm a strong advocate for CAD, CAM & CNC. I haven't made any for a while, but you have reinvigorated my interest ;-). Cheers, Aaron.
Hey Azza! I came across this randomly while working on the sweep function. I’m like, “Hey, it’s Azza!”. Excellent work, and helpful info, as always. Especially love the knurled profile example! 😎👍
G'day David. Glad you found it informative mate. If I was to do this video again, I would ensure to fully define my initial sketch. Sketches should always be fully defined (black) and not under-defined (blue). Cheers, Aaron
Very informative, and I can see that this will come in handy later. In the newest version of Fusion 360 however, it had some issues creating the paperclip. The sweep works until the last turn.
Hi Skylar. Yes I did this tutorial some years ago now. Unfortunately the UI and icons have all changed since. However, you will be able to use the method shown to reproduce it with the new UI. However, just ensure you fully define your sketch. I left one line under-defined when I did this video.
Thank you for you kind comments Thaer. Now that I understand Fusion360 much better, I realise that I had made many mistakes in this video. For example, my initial sketch was blue (under-defined). Cheers, Aaron.
Hi Anthony. Thanks mate I'm glad you liked it. Hopefully my little videos will help to get others started. I will catch up with you soon. Lots to tell. Cheers, Aaron.
Hi Brent, you're very welcome mate. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Yes that dog is very dangerous. He actually incapacitated a Pit Bull recently. He got stuck in its throat lmao ;-) Cheers, Aaron.
G'day from Australia Mr.J. You are welcome, and I'm glad you found the video useful. Feel free to check out my other Fusion 360 CAD-CAM-CNC videos too. Cheers, Aaron.
Hello Charissa. In Australia we are required to draw to AS1100 drawing standards. This requires us to have "Z-UP". Also, if your a CNC machinist using a vertical milling machine it is always easier designing in Z up. That way it makes setting your work offset faster once switching over to CAM. However, you don't have to do this. This is simply user preference. Hope this helps you? Cheers, Aaron.
What does the line two (/2) do when you enter it in the box for the fillet radius? Edit: just realised it simply means divide by two. I didn't know fusion 360 does calculations in the box. Thanks for showing us. We learn something new every day :)
Hey buddy, yes you are 100% correct. Like most school teachers I try to use numeracy examples in my tutorials. You would be surprised, but many students don't know that the line in a fraction simply means divide. The metric system has been great for Aussies, but unfortunately since switching over I believe our fraction skills have drastically diminished. Cheers, Aaron.
Do you know why i get the error "the start direction of a path segment is antiparallel to the end direction of the previous path segment" when i try to sweep?
Operation Lunker hello, try to follow the tutorial exactly how I taught it (direction and measurements) Ensure your first line is vertical and at 90 degrees.
i need to do a propeller ive drawn it i just need to twist the blade in solidworks you just use twist command sweep relies on sketch but i did that at the start so not sure how im supposed to do a propeller in fusion
Hi Allen. To be honest I'm really not sure. I haven't used SolidWorks in years and I'm yet to draw a propeller in Fusion360. In a previous CAD system (I used at Uni in my teacher training) I would have used a "Loft command" through 2 or 3 offset workplaces which had a slight rotation to them. I just did a google search and some TH-camrs have posted tutorials on it. Sorry I can't help you mate. Kind regards, Aaron.
dear aaron thanx a lot for your tutorial. i'm new user of fusion 360. i want to learn how to make a mold & how to transfer mold cam G-code from fusion 360 to cnc machine.........................please reply me.... i wish you will reply me.................i'm waiting ....................
Hi Meherab, yes Fusion360 is great CAD-CAM-CNC software. You should be able to make your mold using it, but testing the flow you'll need Autodesk Moldflow software. Cheers, Aaron.
sir , can i talk with you??????? if you have few time , then i want to talk with you........................ please sir , please .......i'm from bangladesh i want to learn from you...............
Cheers, can you believe I have not noticed the "Fillet" command under sketch lol. Rather fun using Fusion 360, using it to create game assets for my Unity and 3D printed parts for my racing drones www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=36793350&postcount=2511
G'day Sqwert, thanks for watching. Yeah I can believe it bud. I'm still learning too and there isn't a day that goes by without me finding something else totally new within Fusion 360. Would you believe my students actually show me stuff too. I teach them and then they start teaching me lol. Cheers, Aaron.
my teacher told me to watch this in class and it was very boring and took too long for a paper clip. disliked. also im on the education edition so yeah
Aaron, I have been to many other fusion 360 tutorial vid's and yours hit the spot with simplicity in getting an object drawn. Well done!
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the feedback and I'm glad people are getting something out of my Fusion 360 tutorials. Have a great day ;-) Cheers, Aaron.

bluehandsvideo Hey Mike, lol thanks mate. Hey don't let me stop you from working. You've got custom Datsun parts to create ;-) Cheers, Aaron
Don't feel bad.......I actually didn't make it out to the shop. :( I'd better today. :)
That was the best tutorial yet Aaron!!! Getting better with every episode.
Jeff Keen Thanks Jeff, glad you liked it. Cheers ;-)

Very well presented. One of the better fusion 360 tutorials.
Thank you very much for your feedback Chuck. Have a great day. Aaron

Very clear and concise, thank you for producing these videos!
Hi Zac, you're very welcome mate. Thank you for taking the time to watch and for popping in on my channel. Cheers, Aaron.
Excellent tutorial. I am a fusion newbee and found your video very helpful. Thank you
Thank you Joseph and welcome to my channel.
Hi Aaron , thank you very much learn a lot through this very efficient tuto !
Sonny Brahmi Hey Sonny, you are very welcome mate. I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching. Regards Aaron ;-)
So wonderful, many thanks.

Another great video - Thanks Aaron!
Hi Anthony. Thanks mate I'm glad you liked it. Hopefully my little videos will help to get others started. I will catch up with you soon. Lots to tell. Cheers, Aaron.
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm just starting to learn Fusion 360 and found this very valuable. One concern: that dog looks mighty dangerous.
Hi Brent, you're very welcome mate. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Yes that dog is very dangerous. He actually incapacitated a Pit Bull recently. He got stuck in its throat lmao ;-) Cheers, Aaron.
very informative, but why did you call the 2nd project "sweep"? You used sweep on first one, but not second.
Hi David. In this video I demonstrated 2 different methods of "sweep". The 2nd one is at 11:22 and it is along a diagonal line. Cheers, Aaron.
On point very useful. Thanks
G'day from Australia Mr.J. You are welcome, and I'm glad you found the video useful. Feel free to check out my other Fusion 360 CAD-CAM-CNC videos too. Cheers, Aaron.
Very helped. Thank you!!!
Your welcome. Thank you for watching and following along.
Nice! Thanks for sharing!!!
Cole Regal Thank you Cole ;-)
What is the purpose of changing your preferrence to "z up"? Is there a need to do this?
Hello Charissa. In Australia we are required to draw to AS1100 drawing standards. This requires us to have "Z-UP". DCTTeacher1 yup it does! Thanks for the detailed reply
You're very welcome. Aaron

DCTTeacher1 At first I thought it was a switch (like in DOS command line) that passed some parameter to the program hehe
All good mate. I agree with you, next time I'll have to explain it better. Bloody teachers ha ha ha ha
Do you know why i get the error "the start direction of a path segment is antiparallel to the end direction of the previous path segment" when i try to sweep?
Operation Lunker hello, try to follow the tutorial exactly how I taught it (direction and measurements) Ensure your first line is vertical and at 90 degrees.
keep up the good work
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. New Fusion 360 video coming this week. Cheers, Aaron
Awesome, thanks!
You're very welcome Hans. Thank you for watching ;-). Cheers, Aaron.
Really helpful, thanks. Subbed :-)
You're very welcome. Thanks for watching and for the subscription. I appreciate it ;-). Cheers, Aaron.
perfect. Thanks
Thank you so much, you're very welcome ;-)
it will also not let me fillet the inside curve (5.5/2) everytime i do it the lines go crazy.
Operation Lunker did you apply dimension constraints as shown? This will stop the lines going crazy.
i need to do a propeller ive drawn it i just need to twist the blade
