    The Suzuki Volusia (Vah-loo-shuh) is named after Florida’s Volusia County where the bike debuted at the 2001 Daytona Bike Week. Starting with the 2005 models, Suzuki wanted to sound more American in their naming convention by calling their cruisers, the “Boulevard” series and avoiding the metric system’s cubic centimeter “cc” engine designation in the 2001-2004 VL800 to the more American sounding cubic inch naming. As a result the 805cc Volusia of 2001-2004 became the Boulevard C50 (805cc = 50 cubic inches) starting in 2005.

    Cool shop even though it’s small it has that old school vintage feel, definitely living the dream man🤘🏼 do you still have the cr500 3wheeler?

      Thanks! I don’t have the three wheeler. But I have a really nice 89 CR500 and Quadzilla that I’ve been having a lot of fun with.

    Man I have the same bike and same issues and I did everything you did and replaced fuel pump diaphragm and spark plugs but not sure if spaced right.. you didn’t say in the video. My bike will start and then die every time and I mess with the idle screw and sometimes it will idle for a few seconds then die again and when I give it more throttle it dies. Any suggestions please?

      It sounds like the carb is still dirty. Make sure you can see through the pilot jet before you put it back together.

    I am trying to diagnose an issue on my vl800 it is misfiring like crazy but runs better on choke i’ve cleaned carb and fixed a vaccum leak. Still nothing any ideas? Anything past half throttle is sputters and backfires. Thanks. The bike also has drag pipes and has not been jetted.

      You answered your own question David. Jet that baby. Dynojet or 6sigma

      Sounds like you need to pull the Jets and clean them!

    So i have the exact same bike. I was riding it one day and she out of nowehere lost power and high rev'd while riding. She moves a little but has very little power. I changed the spark plugs but still doesnt have enough power. Any recommendations?

      Sounds like you have a major vacuum air leak. You could have a crack in your intake boot or something like that.

    How much would a service like this cost for a bike exactly like this in 2024?

    • @MasonGeorgeMotorcycles

      @@Joker-ig8im most shops charge between 140 and $200 an hour, and it could take a couple hours

      @@MasonGeorgeMotorcycles Thank you. Believe it or not I have two of these. A 2004 and 2005 Suzuki Intruder Volusia VL800. The 2004 does run with the clutch off but it hesitates and sputters when first giving it gas at lower rpms then runs normal through the medium and high rpms. Then seems to run close to normal all the way through with the clutch on. Think I'm going try my first carb clean out which is why I'm watching these videos. Thanks for your video!

    Se this was a waste of time. You didn't go over it step by step so we can see exactly what we need to do.

    • @MasonGeorgeMotorcycles
      @MasonGeorgeMotorcycles  ปีที่แล้ว

      If this was a step-by-step how to it would’ve said so in the title…. I literally explained everything that I was going to do which was pull the Jets out and clean them and clean the bowl. If you can’t handle that maybe you should consider taking it to an actual mechanic. Some people just aren’t mechanically inclined and that’s okay. I understand my strong points and that’s why I hire a professional to do my taxes lol
