- Jonas Vingegaard will be in the 2024 Tour de France if all goes well, however, his Rabobank teammates don't seem to be having the same good times. After winning a stage at the Giro d'Italia 2024, Olav Kooij pulled out sick and the next day the same thing happened to Cian Uijtdebroeks, maglia bianca and best young rider of the race. Not even a stage win by Julian Alaphilippe seems to change Vingegaard's plans, but why is this happening after passing the anti-doping tests?

Maybe they failed the tests and were told to quietly get sick and leave. I honestly don’t think any of these organizations would risk telling the public that tests were failed. UCI certainly wouldn’t.

Do you think riders fail tests if they are not chosen to fail them..? There must be an occasional (insignificant) individual to become the scapegoat for credible sports testing, as proof that they are 100% testing all riders and the sport is in-fact clean...

These days, it's more important to look at what's happening outside of the racing, than inside it.
@cyclinghighlights If you think all the winners are doping and that's a big problem for you, why do you even bother following the sport?
I think that all the winners are probably doping, but it's not a huge problem for me. It's just the reality of sport at this level. The incentives are so massive that someone will always dope to gain an edge if they think they can get away with it. I just hope that the controls are good enough to prevent anyone from having a huge unfair advantage.

Well Jonas is the captain, the team will not put him at the start and ride for him if theres no chance of him getting a podium spot. Plus Poggi broke his wrist, which obviously isn't optimal but stil allows you to train through out the whole recorvery process. Jonas broke half his f*cking torso and punctured his lung. Let's just hope we get one of the best tdf's ever, with everone on form.

@@klemen96 no matter the injuries but the previous enough time of training. Tadej came back on bike only 10 days before the ToF. The difference? Tadej likes riding, he gets fun and not fear to lose. Instead Jonas is terrified if he will not win. For that, he never tries other kinds of races, NEVER. FEAR TO LOSE.
