Soooo apparently, I saw on another TH-cam that in season 1 after the fight, there were dents in the coffin post fight, and the Louis/ Lestat fight explains why!!! I think there are ways Lestat was coerced AND I wonder about Armand’s accounting of things! This ep was excellent (Give them All the awards PLEASE!) And did you hear? There’s going to be a Season 3!!!! And y’all will be gagged with the new characters and Lestat in a new element.
I caught it too -- what one of your chat folks said about the rocks. I never realized it till that scene that Louis sought peace by sticking his feet in coffin rocks, which worked fine for burials at sea back in the day. This made me notice that the reading room's flowered tree was the same as trees seen in earlier strolls around Paris. How in the world did Louis ever expect to forget what happened when he keeps powerful reminders in his penthouse/psych ward/low-security prison?
@@Slice_of_Horror What?? Sis, Louis had Daniel sticking his feet in the stupid coffin rocks this season, while Armand was gone and they'd hit a wall in their "Odyssey of Recollection", trying to remember San Francisco. "This sh!t doesn't work!" I think Daniel snarked while pulling his feet out of the rocks.
Claudia's death still hurts me. I cry every time, even thinking about it make me cry. But I'll tell you this, if I had to watch Bailey Bass go out like that, I would've pulled up on everybody involved with the show lol.
It was obvious that the part about Louis being the one pursuing/seducing Lestat was A SCRIPT. The coven wanted the audience to think of Louis as dangerous and a threat to Lestat - because they are accusing him of premeditated murder. Just like any lawyer, the coven's script was intended to make the audience have sympathy for Lestat. Again, all very obvious. And it was even more obvious when Lestat would go off script.
@@Slice_of_Horror When Santiago was describing Louis to an almost all-white audience, he was like some right-wing talk show host and the way they portray Black men. Louis was a predator hunting Lestat. He was a violent thug, a low thing unworthy of humankind, undeserving of mercy. I almost heard Alderman Fenwick from last season before Louis sliced and diced his ass, saying, "It's a sinking ship. And naturally, Louis, you are the first to drown."
