      Hi Patrick It IS easy believe me, just watch my video's as you do, and follow it step by step.
      And don't get fooled by the 'blue latex glove' people, who pretend to be 'specialists'. LOLLLLL

    Highly doubt you're still replying to comments on this. But; I have a 2010 with abs. I've recently had to take the pistons from the calipers to change seals. In this I let out most of the fluid and let air in my abs pump. No matter how mich I blead from reservoirs to calipers I can't seem to shift that air.

      Hi Callan, I will try to answer as much as I can. In your case I would try to use a vacuum pump (like the mitty vac I am not shure if I have the name right) and suck the brake fluid out on the calipers side. If that don't work, get the callipers off and push the pistons back in. Allways remember that air will go to the highest point in the system. So make sure that the air in your system is able to go up there. Thats even more important when you have a brake line that goes from one caliper over the front fender to the other caliper.. Then you also can tap with the handle of a screw driver against the brake lines, so airbubbles goes easyer to the highest point, your brake fluid reservoir. Tap with your hand against your brake handle and see if tiny airbubbles will show up. I know that some times it can be a time consuming event, but I am sure that slowly you will be able to get all the air out.. Greets from The Old Mechanic

    What good videos !!! I have the same bike and these videos are helping me a lot.
    What kind of grease do you use on the bolts, the one you give with a brush, the grease is dark gray I think.
    The other I know is copper grease.
    I will watch all the videos, I really like them.
    Regards !!!!

      Hello Nicolas, I am glad that I can help guys like you saving money. The grease that I use with that brush is: Bel-Ray assembly lube.

    why the HELL would someone put that ammount of grease on the back of brake pads :-s , a little bit just to stop vibrations but that should be silicone grease ..to much and a bit of that on the rotor .. and goodbye breaking :-s

    • @TheOldMechanic
      @TheOldMechanic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate, i allways use copper grease because its heat resistance, but im sure that there are other greases out there for this aplication

    • @Ladosligese
      @Ladosligese 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheOldMechanic silicone is far surperior to copper :) .. copper just isolates the heat into the pads . so they become hot as hell .. so try out silicone .. you will love it i swear
