We were supposed to play Virginia Tech in 2020 and 2025. Covid derailed that. I wish they would be on the schedule. The rule for the Power 4 conferences should be to have ten Power 4 opponents.
I was very disappointed when that series got axed. Amazing that the two teams have yet to play, especially given the geographic proximity and seeming cultural similarties between the institutions. Was also looking forward to experiencing Enter Sandman in person. The sooner they can figure out ways to make interesting intersectional matchups an annual schedule feature, the better.
Covid was made worse by Trump who did NOTHING FORVA YEAR AS PRESIDENT EXCEPTBUSE THE PRESIDENCY AS HIS WAY TO ENRICH & EMPOWER HIMSELF & HIS FAMILY BUSINESS OR MOB THAT DID A 2 BILLION DOLLAR GOLF COURSE DEAL WITH THE EVIL MURDEROUS SAUDI PRINCE! This episode, in my opinion, is your best! Love the banter on the strength of schedule and the mindset of playing better teams other than "cupcakes." With the BIG now having 18 members, I feel, we should now play our entire schedule against BIG teams. Even if we get only 6 home games, the money from away games against a quality opponent, will make up for the loss of a Kent State or U Mass home game. I will be there Saturday, but will be shocked if there are more than 90 grand in the seats. Great jobs guys and thanks!!

I hate the false narrative that regular season games are less valuable now. For every game that has somewhat lesser importance early in the season now that one loss doesn't sink (some) teams' seasons, there are a dozen on the backend that now have a lot of meaning because those teams are still alive for a playoff bid.
Mike, if you were picking spreads in your segment, I have the opposite on every single one lmao. We'll see who is right!
18-22 year old kids, buying into the hype after W. Virginia game!!!! They underestimated their opponent, and it sucks, but early in the season to get a reality call!!!! Trust me Nittany nation, we are very good and dangerous and will show it!!!
The “massive reimagining” is to simply eliminate non-conference games entirely. We don’t need them. They serve no purpose. And no one cares when the mentality of the coach and the athletic department is, “Let’s stack the deck in our favor so that we never lose!”
Everyone can see at this point that everything is funneling toward there being two power conferences: the SEC and the Big Ten. We already have 18 teams in our conference. Why do we need to be playing anyone outside of that? Just schedule 12 in-conference opponents, and then you’re guaranteed to draw fan interest. Make the SEC do the same, and then top-6 from each conference can go to the playoff.

One thing Franklin seemed to allude to about the D line… is that they seemed to think they were about to dominate the BG O line, and be making all kinds of great plays… and they were taking too many chances because they thought it would be easy.
That was not the case, and they go shaken to the core.
Yeah, there was nothing fluke-y or lucky about what happened in the 1st H vs BG. Very eye-opening.
