If one reads from the journals of the Lewis & Clark Expidition, when the men first ran into Grizzley Bears, they couldn't believe that those bears could absorb about a dozen .54 caliber lead balls before finally going down. They were told by the Indian tribes that that was why when they hunted the great bears, they wore war paint to be prepared for their death.

I forgot where I heard the theory about wood knocks. I believe it was on the youtube documentary "A Flash of Beauty : Paranormal Bigfoot" there are two separate full documentaries here on youtube with that same name, very good watches. But one of the theories discussed was if these beings can possibly travel by means of changing form into balls of energy pretty much that the wood knocks could potentially come from the sound of that energy passing from tree to tree which could explain the loud popping/cracking sounds among the trees..Was just an interesting idea I remembered hearing and wanted to share with everyone in case they had never seen those documentaries here on youtube before...again, love the videos, keep up the great work. I always enjoy seeing your new videos pop up on the timeline...cheers from down here in St. Louis, Missouri 🤙

Booger is a Southern form of bogey (as is bogeyman) or boggart from Middle English… referring to a goblin or bugbear. Woolybooger being a colloquial term for what the Indians refer to as the Hairyman. There are many place names in the Southeast which contain the word… Booger Hill, Booger Hollow, Booger Hole and Boogertown to name a few. I’d bet that the names have something to do with historical sightings in those areas.

One evening in SW Arkansas at our remote camp on Red River we started hearing wood knocks . Within 100 yards . The next day I tried duplicating the sound with sticks on logs , etc . My wife stayed at camp and agreed none were a match . So I just called it quits . 15 min . Later I walked outside and my dog had a large lower leg bone of a cow . Never seen it before or him chewing on old cattle bones on our place .I took it from him and decided to give it a try on some solid oak trees . It was as close a match as we could get . Sounded like a Louisville slugger hitting those Oaks . I know what was being used the night before to create those knocks .
