- Is it Mosasaur or Mosasaurus? It's said both ways in the game, and I alternated between the during this video. That is beside the point. This creatures is a little booty, it hurts if it bites you, and recovers torpor rapidly. A level 50, tamed with kibble, can take over an hour to tame! An hour! I don't know how people do it with x1 or even x2 taming rates. I had to decrease mine to x5 so my passive tames weren't instant in my taming guides, specifically looking at my Ichthyosaur video, that was x20 tame rate, and I really should have turned it down and did the capture again. Still, I would rather have the x20 rate, it makes taming in this game so much more reasonable. Of course, none of that was about the Mosa taming. Which this description is suppose to be about. But really, who actually reads my descriptions? I ramble way too much for them to be worth reading in most cases. So, yeah, use the stone behemoth gateway birdcage to trap the Mosasaur. That seems like the easiest and most effective way to knock it out. You then just need to keep an eye on it for several hours while you wait for it to tame out.

Big same, but I was lucky enough to find a 140 squid stuck in shallow waters in crystal isles. Still scared, but I stand more of a chance now.

Might be worth mentioning it's weaknesses. Like Tuso being able to grab it, and eels + cine being able to shock it.

Nice but now with Genesis, you go to the Ocean Biome, tame a giant turtle and build the cage on the back. Get under the Mosa and bring him to just below the surface. He can't get out and you can tranq him at your leisure. Works every time because the Mosa can do nothing.

Use ×10 or ×15 soothing balm and tame it with meat easily
Just FYI, Soothing Balm is a mobile only addition to the game.

Yeah, I love Soothing balm since It’s way easier to tame high level dinos, never used kibble but for griffins cause I’m to lazy to make it.
Tip: if ammonites are near the mosa, hit the ammonite with an ichthyosaur then lure the mosa to the beach to make it more difficult for the mosa to run away and make it much easier to tranq and feed the mosa.
A random kid doesn’t watch this and uses raw meat 🙊

Does anyone know if it’s possible to attach the underwater teck rooms (Idk what they are actually called, but I’m talking about these tek mini rooms that you can use to create underwater bases) onto the mosasaur platform saddle? To some what make it like a live submarine, or a mobile underwater base?

Look up island pearl cave locations. There's about 10 of them in the island ocean

if u put narcotics in his inventory they will be used when topor is low or you have to do it by urself?
They have to eat food on their own, but you need to force feed the narcotics.

BTW another useful tip is to use the depth limit of the mosa, dipping in and out to bait it into coming near you.

One spawned super close to my base but theres friggin eels and jellies so i cant do it with a sraco i need a basi but they dont have rider weaponry so im screwed

Big Problem I circled the whole entire map 5 times and did not find a single mosasaur all I found was Alpha Mosasaur’s.

At least the alpha variant is good for xp for a chibi dino and black pearls

I had a decent level spawn near a cave and it trapped itself inside so I just used tranq darts and prime

Probably, just keep in mind you might need tek vacuum compartments and a generator to stay submerged for a good amount of time

@@Uaveatz2 Same, but I found a mosa once. I knocked it out using the tuso with the tuso's torpor hug and for a some time I waited. Then I figure out it's already asleep i and i going to wake up soon. Without even looking at its torpor, I rush of the look for prime meat and I can't remember where I lft the mosa. It was very sad.

How long will a level 810 take I wonder?
the maximum level a wild creature could spawn is 150 which there is no way to find a level 810 unless you use admin commands

I tried to tame one on my basilosaurus and i brought 300 narcotics, 240 tranq arrows and 3 crossbows, on my last crossbow. 50 Tranq arrows left and after it was about to get knocked out the stupid thing despawned!!! like, i didn’t even know they could do that?!?!
I tried to tame one on my ichthyosaurus. Brought a ton of raw prime fish meat, 150 tranq arrows, and 2 bows. It got stuck in a rock so I managed to knock it out.. then those blue jellies started chasing after me. I kept drowning accidentally.. Tried to kill the jellies with my tranq arrows like I’ve done with Stone arrows but it wasn’t working, I didn’t know what my health was but my screen was very red ( on mobile when you’re riding a dinosaur you can’t see your health, only your oxygen and your dino’s stats) then my mosasaurus woke back up and I had to go home in case my health was low (turns out it was very low, I was nearly dead) super frustrating! Sorry that happened to you. It’s so hard to do when you have to shoot it with your crossbow, put your crossbow away so you can swim to where you need to be, then pull your crossbow out, reload it, and shoot it again.. but by the time you’re about to shoot it you have to move again. It would be so much easier if you could move in any direction while holding a weapon
was about to get ready to tame the mosa. then i went afk for 20 min to use the bathroom and when i came back, someone had drained my turrets using a high hp dino and killed everything with a giga. and blew in and took everything ;-;

I found two alpha mosasaurs,20 plesiosaurs,3tuso and 2mosa when covering all the longitude from the bottom

@@fredrickharris2215 You can just change the setting before entering in the Host Solo mode, there are many options
I tame these guys easy with a frog. super easy to kite mosas since it can ascend or descend underwater with just the jump or crawl key. best of all you can shoot from your mount and it's surprisingly fast
But I find Mosas are overrated... their turn rate is just god awful and movement is so awkward, good luck trying to get that alpha meg biting your tail. The tusos are by far the greatest sea mount. the only thing mosas are good for is being a mobile base at sea that doesn't aggro the leedsichthys
i once tamed 150 lvl mosa and with 100 armor saddle i went with him to this water cave on the island and got killed by 300 lvl megalodon alpha :)
