No doubt even non-carats or fans from other fandoms agreed that Seventeen has one the best Japanese Discography in kpop industry. Fallin' Flower was popular in Japan up until now, and it is still charting with Seventeen's Happy Ending (2nd japanese song). Happy Ending is the longest Charting song of a foreign act in Japan Oricon Charts. While Fallin' Flower is the only song by a korean act that entered the Top 10 Yearly Chart of 2020 (I can't remember if it's billboard japan or oricon charts). That makes Seventeen as the only Korean Act that entered the chart with a song that they released way back April that year.
Also "the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced that SEVENTEEN’s third Japanese single album “Not Alone” has received an official double platinum certification after selling over 500,000 copies."
Seventeen's fallin flower and hitorijanai landed #1 on Billboard japan hot 100 and 24h also landed on #1 Billboard japan hot albums. Svt are kings of japan. ✨
Also you can watch the reaction/review of Elliott Village, he is a dancer and he said many things about the choreography of Seventeen's Fallin' Flower. Once you watch his reaction and listen to his insight you will more understand the choreo and the meaning of the song itself.
Falling flower is just a pure piece of art. Each time this song gets me and I don't really know why. I mean, the dance is mindblowing and the softness in their movements holding into eachothers is amazing, but it's not their most demonstrative one in terms of emotions for me (In my eyes, seventeen are already one of a kind when it comes to choreo but Thanks choreo was their most powerful.) the musicality dosen't hits so hard in the emotions like a ballad or anything (I'm referring to songs like kidult or smile flower, hug, etc.) and I don't understand Japanese at all ! I think it's the combination of everything together that fits so well that's responsible for this sparkle of magic anytime I hear this song, watch the Mv or watch a performance of it. I would recommend you to check out the TMA performance (it's a korean ver) bc it includes a dance solo from the leader line (Scoups, Woozi, Hoshi) and it's BEAUTIFUL + you'll get fearless's insane performance (believe me it's EPIC) and kidult's gold vocals from all the members (you talked about starting to appreciate seventeen's vocals more and more: you'll be satisfied :D) Thank you for your reactions as always (if you read my longggg comment) Your opinion is always interesting !
TO Cararts we have good news!!!! "The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced that SEVENTEEN’s third Japanese single album “Not Alone” has received an official double platinum certification after selling over 500,000 copies." We did that in less than one month. SEVENTEEN the first foreign male artist in history ever to surpass 200,000 first-week sales with three consecutive Japanese singles!!!! 😉 🥰
It's really unfortunate that many people sleeps on svt vocals just because they're more popular for their dance :( I mean look at hoshi's spider, minghao's side by side, or jun's silent boarding gate, them dancers of the group got VOCALS
Great reaction! I love the things you pick out in the choreo, it's always things that I don't notice! Also never noticed the "arts" theme in the video... There are a couple performance videos for this song on Seventeen's Japanese youtube channel, as well as a few live stages of the Korean version kicking around if you want more of this song (and honestly who wouldn't). Seventeen is the only group that I actively look forward to their Japanese comebacks as much as their Korean ones. Normally, I don't even know that Japanese comebacks are happening, but not with Seventeen!
4:23 that's jeonghan in the chorus! i think the 3j's joshua, jun and jeonghan's voices really shine in this song! and yes, dk's part always makes me tear up
For the live stages, they would use fallin flower with different songs like for the SMA (fallin flower+ All my love+ homerun) and FMA (kidult + Fallin flower + Fearless) performance.
Fallin' Flower's MV is a masterpiece, every set is so esthetic, visually beautiful and engaging, plus all of the symbolisms in it. Rigend Film did an amazing job
"Is he the strong boy in seventeen?" to mingyu Me: *flashbacks to the time Mingyu broke their award during live, broke a glass during kcon LA 2018 behind* that man is strong but most of the time he's...uhm clumsy HAHAHAHAHAHA
I was sooo happy when I saw this notification!!! 🥺💖🥰 Thank you!! The order is call call call, happy ending, fallin flower, 24 hour, and not alone. I’m happy that you’re checking out going seventeen! 🥰. I really like the meaning of the song like trapped by the past and basically there is a person that can help you and accept you for who you are and help you fall into the right place. You are the flower and when the petals fall the flower would become a new flower or a new you/ new start
i recommend you listen to call call call next! it was their debut japanese song and it's one of my favorite title tracks of theirs overall, but honestly you can't go wrong no matter which song you choose (the other jp songs left are happy ending and 24H) also you reacted to Hoshi and minghaos solos but you missed Jun's solo he released back in February! it's has a title track with a music video called 'silent boarding gate' as well as a B-side that was a pre release called 'crow' which is one of my favorite songs Ever. crow doesn't have an MV but it does have a live clip on Seventeen's youtube channel!
i love other groups and i especially think each group does well BUT I have to say Seventeen is really a genre of their own. they would come up with different concepts and sound each and every time and the first thing that would come to my mind is "THIS IS SOOOO SEVENTEEN", regardless. their music is distinct and unique to themselves and personally, i think that's what separates them from the other groups that we know and love.
ive been binging your seventeen reaction playlist and i really enjoy your reactions to them 😊💎 i was wondering if after the japanese title tracks, you'd check out their bsides and other projects too? seventeen has a really good discography plus theyre all so talented, so seeing other people appreciate them too makes me happy 💕 maybe some fan/crack vids too cause theyre one of the funniest and likable groups in the industry
I'm not surprised that you choose this song as one of your favorites in SEVENTEEN's songs. Fallin' Flower is indeed a masterpiece. Even kpop reactor,Jeff Avenue, made this song as top 2 in his playlists and his favorite song in Seventeen.
There aren't really any good Japanese performance stages for Fallin' Flower but as As Mochi! commented earlier there's two Korean version live stages on FMA (The Fact Music Awards) and SMA (Seoul Music Awards). Unfortunately neither of those Award shows had official channels where they uploaded performances. Uploads still exist on TH-cam but the quality varies, and sadly I was never able to find an actual HD quality one for FMA. However for SMA they did a little something extra with Fallin' Flower (spoilers ;) ) so I'd recommend that one anyhow. Mingyu being the strong boy: I think the official title holder is S.Coups? But Mingyu is definitely up there too . Mingyu for sure is the one who likes to show off more how built he is between the two of them. Not that I'm complaining mind you. XD Plus since he's the tallest one in the group he's just BIG in general. It's crazy how multi-layered Seventeen's choreos can be sometimes. I went "Oh!" when you commented on them holding their wrists during Seungkwan's part. Because what you're saying is definitely true and food for thought, but I never noticed it before because I was always too distracted by the bigger picture and how it looks like Seungkwan is walking through a wildflower meadow with the grass and flowers moving in the wind to pay attention to the meaning of the little details. Art! Interpretation on multiple levels! :D Pretty sure you've been asked for this several times already in the last few days but if you want to appreciate the performance unit more you should absolutely check out their recent appearance on Rolling Stone. For maximum impact watch the Lilili Yabbay official MV first.
Fun fact : All their dance represent flower - intro represent flower blooming from above - jun bridge part represent flower blooming from side - joshu and jun part represent tree that blooming and the fall - the8 part after his duet with jeonghan, represent leaf/ flower that blown by wind
Fallin Flower Is ART. It's more than a song is an experience. I really loved everything ♡ and the message of the song made me cry the first time and when I having a hard day... Also GoSe it's one of the best things that ever happened to me. Well all seventeen ♡
You should react to their The Fact Music Awards (TMA) performace they performed fallin flowe korean version there! Trust me it’s one of their most beautiful stage performance!!!!!!
Yay! So glad you checked this one out next! I won't ever be able to decide whether Fallin Flower or Happy Ending is my favorite Japanese track. I love the choreo in FF so much though. Especially the small details like the 2 parts where their hands are floating down like a petal falling... you can see the first time they let it "drop" and the last time they "catch" it. I'm such a sucker for small hand work like that. Mingyu is pretty well-built. I remember PD once talked about how great his physique is, lol. Also, you're doing so well at getting their face and names down!
9:15 Irene & Seulgi do it in Naughty? Probably pops up a lot, particularly with female idols, but that's the only example I can think of off the top of my head. For Japanese live stages, check the Seventeen Japan official channel. They upload stages themselves and usually have a few different ones to choose from - those _may_ be safe in terms of copyright but I'm not positive on that one. There's a Korean version stage for Fallin' Flower too, for an award show, and that's been reacted to without issue.
Seventeen Japan has been uploading stage performances recorded for TV shows to their TH-cam channel. This is the closest you'll get to good live performances during the pandemic. For Fallin' Flower, I recommend this one: th-cam.com/video/SUBENaJNfNY/w-d-xo.html.
I'm pretty sure it was Jeonghan hitting the high notes (he was the one lifting up pots in the Going Seventeen ep). Also look at you switching between calling him Minghao/The8. You're really learning them!! It is a super visually stunning video, and also the song itself is gorgeous. Japanese is one of my favorite languages sonically. It always sounds so beautiful for ballads and slower songs. DK's part is also my favorite within the song. It's so beautiful!!
you should check out the performance unit song LILILI YABBAY for its more focused on the8 and hoshi along with dino and jun, but that song in itself is awesome too!
!!!!!!i LOVE ur INTRO!!! all my ult boy and girls in one click hahah thx for calling him MInghao cuz ... smtimes carat forgetting to call the8 his stage name kkk
Seventeen has the best Japanese releases in the kpop industry and nobody can change my mind
I don't knoooow, DAY6 has some bangers from the two songs I listened to yesterday! Still have to edit and post that one
@@KpopPrince yah It will be great to hear some songs from Day6 =) I want to get to know Day6. Hoshi is their fan lol
@@KpopPrince have you listened to their japanese song Finale? Young K's verse is phenomenal
Yea from 2016-2021 not a single flop!! 😭💙
FACTS and their releases are actually not translated from an originally Korean song 💁🏻♀️✨
Only King shits that SEVENTEEN does 👑

This is one of my favorite choreos. It’s just breathtaking!
DK's part really!
I will always love the part where everyone is dancing hard but still so controlled while Hannie just did the "falling flower" movement with his hand.
fallin' Flower choreography is the best choreography of my life.
It is said that Hoshi and the performance team made it for three months.
when you were talking about hoshi and minghao!!!! a man after my own heart
DK's line in Fallin Flower is quite possibly my favorite melody line from a SEVENTEEN song ever
Falling flower is just a pure piece of art. Each time this song gets me and I don't really know why. I mean, the dance is mindblowing and the softness in their movements holding into eachothers is amazing, but it's not their most demonstrative one in terms of emotions for me (In my eyes, seventeen are already one of a kind when it comes to choreo but Thanks choreo was their most powerful.) the musicality dosen't hits so hard in the emotions like a ballad or anything (I'm referring to songs like kidult or smile flower, hug, etc.) and I don't understand Japanese at all ! wow you're everywhere
Yes so proud of them
We are once again reminded why seventeen has one of the best vocal lines. DK and Jeonghan murdered this, but then again when do they not😭😭
It's really unfortunate that many people sleeps on svt vocals just because they're more popular for their dance :(
I mean look at hoshi's spider, minghao's side by side, or jun's silent boarding gate, them dancers of the group got VOCALS

Seventeen best vocals, rapers, visuals, best japanese songs and best sincronization group 🤗
4:23 that's jeonghan in the chorus! i think the 3j's joshua, jun and jeonghan's voices really shine in this song! and yes, dk's part always makes me tear up
Its Jeonghan who's hitting the high pitch part that you like
The first one in the first pre chorus one josh but every one in the chorus was jeonghan
Fallin flower is a masterpiece.
Whenever DK comes in with his verse, my heart skips a beat. Easily one of my favourite verses ever
For the live stages, they would use fallin flower with different songs like for the SMA (fallin flower+ All my love+ homerun) and FMA (kidult + Fallin flower + Fearless) performance.
Fallin flower = my favorite Japanese song of all time
Dokyeomie's part.... Everything
Fallin' Flower's MV is a masterpiece, every set is so esthetic, visually beautiful and engaging, plus all of the symbolisms in it. Rigend Film did an amazing job
Jun also released a solo 😊 honestly their vocals are all good 😭
please i love to see you react on their rolling stone in my room performance
For me I love the TMA falling flower performance but they performed the Korean ver hope you check it out
