What I don't understand if you were disappointed and yet you bought what he offered. I really think it awful that people are playing this appointment game and then you accept the scraps they drag out of the stock room. Seriously. People need to stop falling for this awful sale tactic. With that said, I'm happy your aunt will be happy. My story was simple. I walked in. Asked for a specific Kelly and she came down with it. I looked at it and declined it. Her face was priceless. She could not believe I didn't want the exact bag I had asked for. But here is the difference, I am fluent in French and I am not desperate for a purse. I honestly feel people need to take their power back with luxury brands. They are nothing unless we spend.

I have totally quit wanting anything from Hermes. I sold the two bags I had (neither k, b or c) and all my belts, shoes and Accessoires. I tried getting a K or B for over 25 years. I don’t live close to a store to build a relationship and every time I travel and meet an SA, I tried to build a rapport which is a bit tougher long distance and then they leave. I almost paid twice the price for a new one the resale market for a new bag and thought - I must be crazy. I’m over it. I’m a VIC with LV and own many Chanel’s and am happy with what I have. My money is good elsewhere and they shan’t have anymore of mine.
The bag is in Barenia Faubourg leather. That is a heritage leather that ages beautifully. Sorry that things did not work as anticipated. This said, the leather appointment is a gamble, it does not guarantee being offered a QB. Also, people from the US, Australia and Asia are more in luck vs. Europe.
Sevres is my home store in Paris. I don’t live in Paris, but visit 3-4 times a year. Basically you need a good SA there that you consistently shop with and pretty decent purchase history. I got a Birkin 25 last week and have gotten a mini kelly and special order at that store also. I have also had appointments there where I didn’t receive any quota bags. There are No guarantees, but that’s my experience and advice!

I think your mini Evelyn is in Barenia faubourg leather! Which is a pretty special leather and will patina beautifully. Hopefully knowing this makes you feel just a little bit better about the Paris appt fail❤
I also had the same disappointing experience at my Sevres Hermes appointment two years ago.
Exactly, that’s Barenia, one of the two famous and treasured heritage leathers of the Maison. I think you could do better at the leather appointment after you have learnt more about the products. If one has no decent spending history in Paris, and simply get lucky enough to get a leather appointment online, she has to do really well at the appointment to impress and charm the SA to get offered a quota bag, all the stars have to aline to make it happen. They still look at the spending history, so when you have secured a leather appointment online, you should spend in the store first to build up a profile and a decent spending history before you walk into the leather appointment, it would really increase the chance of you getting offered a quota bag. Please don’t sound like they owe you or are bound to offer you a quota bag, they are not. Hope you will get lucky and do better at your future leather appointments.
Get yourself a private shopper. You will be amazed how they can get you exactly what you want. They do have bags, they just don't want to sell it to you. If they have nothing at all, then why are they open daily - for what purpose?
In my humble opinion, even with a leather appt if you did not get what you there for, don't buy anything at all.
If they don't want your money don't beg them then 😑
I got an appointment at 6pm, I wasn’t offered anything and couldn’t even wait to look around as we had another reservation and had to collect my children. They were amazing there but in the 3 days I was there I didn’t see anyone being offered anything. I really don’t know if they are just not offering anymore without a pre spend but yes I only see hundreds claiming they walk in and got a bag in 10mins. Hope you’re successful another time. I was offered 2 clutches that were incredible but really wasn’t what I wanted. Xxxx
I’m glad that you were honest to the SA and showed him your disappointment. Good thing that you didn’t sugar coat anything and pretended that you were over the moon to get a Mini Evelyn. 😢 I agree that they should not give out leather appointments if there’s zero stock… what a waste of time.

Your video is a breathe of fresh air -- thank you! I had a very similar experience last week at the Faubourg store so I 100% understand your feeling of disappointment. I have never made a TH-cam video before but seriously considering filming one to share my experience as I think there needs to be more videos like this so others can see the full picture. A leather appointment does not mean you will be offered a B/K/C!
I had pretty the same experience at Sevres back in February. I booked a flight and I was told no B/K/C xD my SA was super rude, didn’t even ask what I wanted, she just said that they don’t have bags but brought me picotin 🙈
Btw when I was waiting for my appointment, I’ve seen that some people were taken to vip rooms and Ive seen an SA carrying a box with a kelly (there was a sticker on the box facing me) 😆

I had a similar issue. I got an appointment on November 16 at sevres, I was so excited, only to get offered mini bolide, geta and 24/24. I was served by a tall individual called Alexander, he was rude and condescending towards me and my Muslim mother wearing her hijab, definitely racist. Super disappointed
So sorry you had this experience. I’ve been applying for leather appointments too from Portugal and haven’t gotten one yet. I was going to fly my daughter and I there for the appointment, but I not sure I would now.
Did you have a profile at the Paris location or any prespend in Paris? Just curious if there were any other factors affecting your offer, but it honestly just feels like bad luck. How would they have known they weren’t going to get their normal shipment in?
There are many many videos of individuals with approved leather appointments who were not offered B,K, or C's- but perhaps they have not turned up on your algorithm. 15 leather appointments a day does not mean 15 BKCs waltz out the front door 300+ days a year. Leather means leather, so very glad you modified your expectations.
I think your bag is super cute❤But I really understand your disappointment. If you got a Constance at least it would be worth the trip. So sorry😢

I'm pretty sure that they have the Bs and Ks hidden somewhere in their shop. But since SAs don't earn any commission by offering you either a Birkin or a Kelly, of course he's going to persuade you to buy other non-Birkin items.
There are so many available on the pre loved market. I would not waste my time going to Paris to get treated like a scumbag.
How much was Mini Jypsiere in Hermes store?
So sorry for your experience. I tried this summer as well without any success. I brought home exactly the same bag, but mine was purchased at Nice without any appointment. I just asked for it and it was there. But when I came back to Canada, my SA offered me the most beautiful Constance 18. I had to choose between 5 different colours! Really, from now on I stick with my local boutique.
May I ask what your pre-spend was to get offered the C18 in Canada? I’m from Canada as well and thinking of starting my journey locally. Is the C18 considered a quota bag here in CAN? Thanks. 😊
@@KC-ox1ccmy pre spend for C18 was 1:1. Before that I got B25, and ratio was 1:1.5 . I think it’s very reasonable and we are lucky in Canada it’s not that difficult. You also have to keep in mind we can only purchase 2 bags a year and it has to be 6 months in between purchases.

No, it doesn't but because there are so many TH-cam videos out there where appointment results in K or B, the perception is definitely skewed.

there is a lot of survivor bias here. MANY people who get paris appointments dont get their desired B/K either. people only post if they get something! plus thjese videos get a lot of clicks -- so people like to post about their "lucky" scores... there's also some people glossing over important details. they actually have pre-spending history or a long term SA in paris. and thats why they get the bags
Aww… I feel you. I’d be very sad, too. In Nov, I went all the way from Singapore to Paris, stayed a week, tried to get an appointment every day, but was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, getting an appointment doesn’t guarantee a B or K. That’s why they call it a “leather” appointment. I couldn’t even buy other bags, and I mean non-quota bags 😕. Congrats on finding the Mini Jypsiere online. She’s very pretty 😍

The mini Evelyn is ok. I think your best score was the mini jipsiere. Which is more difficult to get. I think going to paris like that was a little too impulsive for a bag. Hopefully next time you will be in person and works better for you

That’s exactly what happened to me (twice!!) when I got my 🍊 appointments 😢 I was so “over the moon” traveled to go there for this freaking appointment, hoping and dreaming to score a K and guess what? They could only offer me a mini Evelyne 😂 the second appointment the SA told me you came at the right time we have stock and the when I told her my wishlist she came back empty handed… and the store was empty 🫠😭 ai was fooled by the many successful videos on YT of people scoring bags!! It’s not 100% true… You have higher chances to NOT score anything instead of scoring one … what a disappointment!! Also at my first ever appointment the SA offered me her email and told me… when you come back I can help you out again… guess what? She never replied to my email 😭🫠
