Thanks for the details of your FSH story! I just returned from Paris yesterday and stayed at the Hotel Elysia based on your vlogs! I also went to FSH, was so packed and just too crowded to shop! saw nothing different than our boutique here in Toronto or anywhere else in the States. I did shop at the reopened Dior flagship @ 30 Montaigne, the selection was massive and much better than in Toronto! thanks for all your tips and info on Paris!! Was very happy with the Hotel Elysia!

Absolutely!! I can understand why some would spend a lot of time searching - perhaps they are in a super competitive city or from an area where there are no boutiques. In my case, I can easily shop locally so there really isn't a need to conquer lol.

I am glad you made this video. Ppl must understand that sometimes it doesn’t work. Sometimes. Because of watching videos of ppl who scored bag you have a hope, and sometimes this hope hurts you in the end.
Well said! I think it's good to give people realistic expectations. Not that I agree with what Hermes is doing with the appointments, but we should be prepared.

Also, your husband is such a good sport ☺️This so called Hermes journey is indeed a journey. I feel blessed to have own both kelly and birkin from my local boutique since I started my journey last year. Honestly it’s been great…I only buy items that I like and never felt the urge to only buy them because it will enhance my purchase history to get a quota bag. My SA has also been lovely and helpful. Good luck on your journey and I am sure you will get your dream bag when time is right ☺️

Right? There definitely is a two or three tiered appointment system in place. *sigh* I don’t wanna expend too much of my energy trying to crack the code. It’s futile in the end as big H likes to change things to keep people on their toes. Or perhaps just keep resellers on their toes. In so doing, genuine clients suffer.
Thanks for sharing your experience in Paris. You did or didn’t score a quota bag is okay. I know it’s a waste of time trying to get to all these locations. Hopefully I’ll visit Paris this year. 🤞🏻

I can’t lie I would have been so disappointed being that you were so close to getting a bag. You did the right thing and not settle for a herbag or picotin. I love how your hubby was so supportive. I feel like when people go to Paris and decide they want to try for a bag they end up spending too much time trying to get the bag that they miss out on other things. Oh thank you! Yeah I wouldn’t expend so much energy on running around for a bag. I honestly don’t think they cater to walk ins - especially in Paris. Perhaps elsewhere though. At the end of the day, it’s a material thing and as much as I’d love to get one in Paris, I just value the ability to travel there in good health!

I can see why people would plan a trip and prioritize trying to score a quota bag - or just shop luxury in general - since they may live in a country where there are no luxury boutiques at all. In my case, since I'm pretty close to a lot of luxury boutiques and Hermes, I don't really need to shop there.

I appreciate you uploading this, it can be a very stressful experience! Last time I was in Paris it took me 6 attempts to get an appointment at FSH and the SA I got was not friendly at all. She came back with a box and said no BKC were available yet offered me a Constance 24. I Remember being very frustrated especially about the time I wasted, Despite getting a bag. Fast forward to the trip I am on now, I came with zero expectations and just applied for appointments to see if I was even going to be able to get one. I did manage to score an appointment for today at Sevres. I had the most lovely SA assigned to me and told her my preferences, again not expecting anything since I asked for smaller bags in neutrals or pinks (mini kelly, B25, K25). To my surprise she offered me a mini kelly in rose confetti! The Sevres store experience was definitely so much better and enjoyable along with the no expectations/no wasted time and energy.
Yay, congrats and getting a mini Kelly! I think it really has a lot to do with luck. I mean, 1. you need to score an appointment and 2. there needs to be stock available. It's great to go in with zero expectations to avoid disappointment. That was my approach as well. I just wish my time wasn't wasted on my last day lol.

Gosh I wouldn’t even know if I’ve boutique would be easier over the other. They’re all busy. FSH and Sevres are larger, but looks can be deceiving!
I think I was just satisfied with everything I was able to get this trip - more than I’d ever bought in previous trips! We just had such a great time and it was so nice to experience flying and the hotel was amazing. My only regret is not eating enough baked goods and pastries! For real! Lol

I’m pretty sure that now things have changed because of the demand. A lot of people are frustrated with Chanel price increases and the interest for BKC have spike. It’s unfortunate that they aren’t offering to clients that are making so much effort, and even have shown some type of loyalty to the brand like you.
To be honest I think that resellers have a lot to do with how it has changed. I was cheering for you. I really hope you get your Birkin soon and I’m sorry you didn’t get one. I understand that everyone should make a leather appointment for bags but come on we can get picotin and others in our home state.
Thank you, Gisy! I know right? Well, maybe not even picotin in our home stores because now that bag has become in demand. But totally see what you mean. Yup, resellers are what they have to manage and they really do have to scrutinize who is a reseller vs who is not. Have you seen videos on Tik Tok? There are people who visit Paris (tourists) who are hired by resellers to pose as customers.

I was just there a couple days ago. We had the best time in Dior Chanel LV but Hermes was sadly was so so. I tried for 3 days but like you would rather by at home with my own SA too. I thankfully just got a black 30b last month from my SA after a 9 month wait. Have a wee look at my last video I show my birkin in it too and also similar comments to your experience.

You are so right, I don’t see many “failed” reports on the internet. I’m going next week and I am not expecting miracles, and I am wondering to whether even try my luck. I am not there for many days and have things to see and do with my family…I hear august is the month of low stock too, so I’m still debating with myself whether to even try
Enjoy your trip! It wouldn't hurt to try, but yes I wouldn't spend my entire trip obsessing over it. I heard August is a month for low stock as well as less people working in stores and restaurants because it's a big vacation month for people who live there. Never been in August. Prior to the the mass exodus of people travelling this summer, I heard August was a great month for visitors because it's not as busy. But I guess that's a different story now. Enjoy all the delicious food!

Exactly! There is nothing luxurious about playing games. Lol my husbands said that if someone is spending that amount of money, they should be delivering the item to you rolled out on a red carpet lol.

I really agree with your point of view. At the end of the day it is just a bag, and is it really worth all the stress and effort to chase after something if it isn't meant to be? If anything after too long of a chase it would just make me angry and resentful , but this is also easy for me to say as someone who doesn't want a birkin or a kelly. Just seems weird that they even had leather appointments when they were out of birkins and kellys, unless that is needed even for their other bags too?

Same story happened to me in Paris 🤣😜🙌🏻 kind of! But I am from EU so it was just 1h flight for me… no problem for that 🤪

I’ve tried for 10 days straight with the lottery online but got none, it’s fair to say that it was early December so… they were a tad busy 🥺 but it didn’t help even queuing outside and trying to see if there was any cancellation for the day .. even for Parisian people they were refusing appointments, I’ve heard a conversation while I was there. They were talking in French and the lady tried to ask for an appointment but got rejected.
Also went to Sevres, which is my fav store out of the three, and a guy was so nice to let me try sample sizes of K and B but told me that you have higher chances to score at FSH. More stock. Your best days are from Tuesday till Thursday though… 😕
Anyway it was a bit disappointing but I am not devastated 🤣🙌🏻 I will try again….
Btw have you seen a video from HRH (Alex) who said that lux bags are done for her? What’s your take on that? Would love to hear your thoughts 🙏🏻💗💗

It really is lottery and chance - although I think there may still be a human eye on the lottery. I have actually filmed a reaction video on luxury bags being done! @@therealshakeen There are more unsuccessful stories than successful ones… The ones that score are either IG famous (as you said) or have an SA there already.
While I was queuing outside before the store opening, there was a French girl and we chatted a bit, she told me that she wanted a K25 noir or gold and that she wasn’t getting out of the store without one… (Good luck I thought)
Well it happened that I saw her on my way out and she was empty handed as well as me so 😂🙌🏻
On the second floor, where they let you sit for the leather app I saw 10 SAs standing, chit chatting btw each other and there I was thinking… Can’t you help me even without the damn appointment? I mean, they were all free chatting and the seats were all free 😕 There are a lot of things that could be said but yeah… Also a crucial factor (in my opinion) was that I was alone, if I had a male partner by my side I think they would have treated me differently 😎 sad but true.
Anyway can’t wait to see your next video on that subject, I am having mixed feelings, I might share them later on after hearing yours 💗🙏🏻

Actually that's a good question. I don't know exactly. I guess nowadays with capacity limits, they may prefer small groups of 1-2 extra people. But I have no idea.

Wouldn’t it be better if when you booked the appointment they’d ask what exactly it is that you are looking for so that they can tell you if they would have enough in stock or not 🤷🏻♀️

All in all, the take home point is these appointments are a lot more difficult to get now. And I also speculate there is a human eye on this "randomized" selection process lol.

Normally I have enjoyed watching your videos but this was the first time I feel you are being annoying and bitter (because you didn’t get a QB you were hoping for). Honestly it was your own choice chasing a QB every day going to Sèvres, FSH and George V so don’t blame Hermès for “wasting” your time. 😂
If you paid attention, I said that the appointment I got felt like a waste of time. I would have rather not got the appointment. I didn’t have high hopes to begin with. But when I got the appointment, I felt led on as it didn’t amount to anything. If I didn’t get an appointment, I would have gone about my day doing other things. They shouldn’t bother giving out leather appointments if they aren’t going to give you a bag, just my opinion.
You don’t get appointments by visiting Hermes everyday …. you get them by applying on your phone which takes a few minutes.
Going to Hermes to purchase something other than a bag isn’t a waste of time lol.
Luckily shortly after, I landed my fair share of coveted quota bags from the boutique after all.
Funny, sad bitter people leave condescending and rude comments, such as yours.
