I knew a guy in Monterey, CA in 1985 who was associated with Bulger. We hung out almost daily for four months He referred to Bulger as "Jimmy Buljah". I knew that my friend from "Southie" was connected, but the lightbulb didn't go on for me for years, until Bulger became nationally known. My friend told me plenty, which I kept to myself until I learned that he had died.

What if Whitey knew his time was coming & wanted to make sure Catherine was taken care of after so they hatched a plan with the neighbor to take whatever cash he had left plus collect the reward? He would know Catherine would only get a couple years out of it.

Catherine refused to cooperate with the FBI/Justice Dept. and ended up serving 8 years in prison. Whitey was more concerned with telling everyone he wasn't a rat and in the end he was killed like a Rat by a Mafia enforcer in federal prison. Kevin Weeks served less time than her, he made a deal and only served 5 years for 5 murders and Hitman Johnny Martarano only served 12 years for 22 murders that he confessed to.

Calling Whitey a snitch is the dumbest shit ever. There are no rules in the streets, other than never snitch and no innocent women and children. Whitey gave the FBI absolutely nothing, but got protection from the feds for all those years. He played the game better than most. Never really had anything in his possesion that would get him busted. Pretty smart criminal, and lived 85% of his life free on the streets. Im not glorifying it in any way, but Whitey was super smart. Too bad he didn't use it in a productive way. He chose to be a street guy, funny how 2 brothers can go 2 complete opposite directions in life, but both are incredibly succesful in their chosen paths

The Boston FBI was afraid to arrest Bulger, because they were guilty of selling info to Bulger and they didn't want him to talk about it. That's why they put out the lie in the news media that, Bulger was their informant, just before his trial, to turn public opinion against him, and win their case without having to reveal too much about their crimes, and making Connolly the loan FBI agent scapegoat.

Not even him being murdered shortly after ? People like that that know these things are handled until they are no longer of use unless they just don’t want to of course . This is a government tactic like Epstein to get you in prison have you murdered and then who can say what really happened it’s a prison . But things like security cameras going out right at the time of the murder/suicide or forgetting that this man is of importance and should’ve been in solitary confinement no one on earth can buy that if you really know .

@@Whatsthat421 …. I get it. Until there’s real evidence though, instead of just conspiracy theories basically, I believe he was killed because they thought he was a snitch. I believe Whitey though. He paid the FBI for info. Not they paid him. So, there definitely is reason for people to think conspiracy. Unfortunately, conspiracy theorists usually think EVERYTHING is a conspiracy & most of the reasons or theories are ridiculous. Which makes people tend to think, “oh shit, here we go!” 😂

If I was a betting man I'd say odds are Whitey Bulger wasn't actively pursued on purpose for one of the these scenarios: he was suspected of having incriminating evidence on law enforcement and justice department officials, wasn't arrested until the justice department found evidence bulger hid and were sure he couldn't implicate them, the people he could have testified against either die or retire, whitey turned himself in to protect his brother in return for his brother not being part of the trial, the government threatened to prosecute Bill bulger for harboring/aiding and abetting a fugitive, oe for allowing his brother to retrieve and keep cash whitey had hidden somewhere.
