Oh Steph, i absolutely love all your video's, especially your inventory walk through, it makes my old back pain feel better. Thank you so much for sharing this with us ❤
Hi Steph, I recently started to watch your channel. I really love your garden. (1) I watched the video you posted redoing your veggie garden. After watching that video, I bought 2 "3" tiered vego garden beds for my cut flowers and my vegetables and I absolutely love them. (2) I also watched this video where you were featuring plants from Home Depot. I really loved the evergreen you showed called' "Fire Chief Thuja". Guess what today after church, here in Canada, I went to our local Rona store and I bought a fire chief thuja for $29.99. Thanks Stef. I really love the uniqueness of that evergreen with the pink tinge at the top.
I’ve been looking for more cornflower! Heading to my local Home Depot tomorrow. I just found your videos, so glad I did. I love my gardening and flowers. I’m in Michigan.
So glad you found me. If you enjoy videos like these, please consider subscribing to my channel (it's free to do so). These inventory tours are a regular part of my channel.
Steph, thank you so much for today's video! I was so disappointed this morning when I wooke up to pouring rain - no gardening, so I watched you tour the Home Depot which you did in the pouring rain! What did I do? I went to Home Depot and got a besutiful ITOH peony and two purple columbine. Happiness! Thanks so much for sharing. ❤
I enjoy seeing what your box stores have. Sometimes I can even find some of the same plants! Today I got a couple ideas for my flower bed. Thanks for the inspiration.
I enjoyed this video. Got to know more varieties. Love the way you explain the plant care tips from our own experience and conditions mentioned. Thanks so much for doing it.
Great video. I also bought some globe flower last year and only one came back . I almost pulled it thinking it was a buttercup flower. I replanted it somewhere else and it’s doing good. I also planted the mountain bluet last year ,the purple and white together. They came back so full and look amazing. I’m hoping I get some plants from my children this Mother’s Day. I told them to surprise me. Great video as usual. ❤️🌺🌼
Thanks for doing the tour even though it is a rainy day. My Lady Mantle plant is now budding up and has grown quite a bit since I planted it last year, can't wait until it flowers.
I have the Amethyst in Snow Centaurea in my garden and have for years. Mine has spread and is covered in blooms each year. I garden in zone 6b, Kansas. I hope you have better luck this time around. I love mine.
Hi Steff, I love your garden tours and trips to Home Depot as well as other places. Your explanations and tips and experience with what you have and have had really help. Thanks so much.❤
great video, love to go on these tours to see what is at home depot. then i know what i want to go get. thanks for sharing. hope you have a great day!!!
I had sun patiens one year that I put in the entrance are in my business when it started to get cold and it continued to bloom all winter. I believe we managed to keep it for a few years doing that.
I don't know where this thing started that florist plants won't bloom again. I was told this too but experimented anyway. My florist azaleas are covered in blooms after winter for weeks now, and many other florist plants bloom every year. Assuming you're not in an area that has a super harsh winter, they will come back and bloom again. Afterall, a plant is still a plant, it wants to grow and flower.
Hi there! Its not that they wont grow, they just aren't generally as hardy. But yes, it would be very dependent on climates where the plant is planted. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I experimented with "florist" hydrangeas and hadn't heard that they wouldn't bloom again. I planted them and, unfortunately, 3 of my 4 have not leafed out again. Only one is showing signs of life. And they should have survived in my zone. I'm glad you have had a different experience.
Hi Steph, I love your videos. I have been looking for Native flowers as well. I emailed the Pollinator Pathway organization and they gave me a list of Nurseries that sell native plants. I know Weston Nurseries have several locations and also some Mahoney's Garden Centers if you live nearby either of these Nurseries. I hope this helps. Happy Mother's Day. 🌸
Hi Steph. I like a rug juniper in a container, hanging over. I have one in a large urn. Sweet woodruff spreads prolifically for me in northeast Ohio, Zone 6 (so they say but we were always a 5 and I plant for a 5). I’ve been told they make a May wine from it? I had to take it out. Now I have buttercups taking over that I’ve been working on forever… I just learned recently they’re in the ranunculus family which I love, but buttercups not so much. Thanks for the tour!
Thank you! I've been planning to buy 3 Blue Star Junipers at my local nursery this spring for $50+ each. When I saw the price you showed at Home Depot, I went online and bought 3 in a larger container. They don't have them at the stores here in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Quite a savings! So far HD plants have done well in my garden.
Hi Steph, love your inventory walkabout. I checked but was unable to find it, can you link the video where you made a topiary of the false cypress. Thanks did all you do!
My personal experience with Centaurea Montana Amethyst in Snow is that it reseeds SLOWLY, individual plants stay fairly small & only have a single flower. The (purple) Amethyst variety hardly ever reseeds, but individual plants can grow to be large(ish) and have a good # of flowers. The original (blue) Centaurea Montana has the best traits of growing large, having many blossoms and reseeding (and dividing) easily.
Thank you for mentioning the greenhouse hydrangea. I did buy two very pretty ones from Walmart. After I got home, I realized it did not have any planting information and I started thinking they were just meant to be enjoyed for a very short time. You just confirmed that. 😏
Thanks for the informative tour at Lowes. I'm in the same zone as you are. Can you suggest a bush that is around 2-3 ft that is a chartreuse color for a full sun location? I am unhappy with my landscape that is located in front of my foundation. I have 3 hydrangeas in background. I'd appreciate your suggestions.
Can you tell me the secret to keeping those arborvitae alive! I am in zone 5b/6 with clay soil. I water with drop and supplement when the wind is horrible!
Hi Steph! I always look forward to your garden store tours! You have a very nice Home Depot. It helps that I am in zone 6 too ( Illinois)! I had a few questions...Other than the sweet flag grass do you have any other flower or plant recommendations that tolerate (or like) a wet area of my yard? Like do hostas like moist soil that stays wet a little longer before the water finally drains away? I prefer perennials but annuals may be nice too. I'm finding I am perplexed what to do with the damp soil situation. I did find that RIver birch trees do well in damp soil so I at least have a tree I can plant in my back yard! Next question..I was wondering if you would like to include roses on your garden center tours? I find that I don't know much about roses like floribunda, cut, hybrid. I know what climbing roses and knockouts are but I am a little intimidated with roses because I hear they get diseases a lot. Finally, do you have a separate telegram app? Not sure if that is a platform you use or how to send you a message on Telegram? Enjoy the refreshing spring rain.

Awesome tour, Steph! It's going to be a beautiful weekend here for gardening! Hope the same for you! Happy Mother's Day! ❤🌺🌸🌼
I was blown away by the vibrant colors and lush foliage on display-it's like a burst of springtime right on my screen!

Hi Monica! That is wonderful! Thank you so much for watching and I hope you enjoy gardening in your new beds, and watching your thuja grow 🌱
Thank you for the video! I saw a few perennials there worth making room for in my flower bed!

Awesome - thank you for this!
Do you have a video about the plastic you have down in your natural area? I’m getting tired of weed wacking a large natural area.
Can you tell me the secret to keeping those arborvitae alive! I am in zone 5b/6 with clay soil. I water with drop and supplement when the wind is horrible!
Stunning varieties, we need bigger gardens 🤣🤣
I've got my eye out for early evolution hydrangea. So surprised its not in a branded container. I thought it was exclusively a Monrovia plant.

How wide does the salvia get . I have a 15 inch wide space . Can I plant them there ?
Love your home depot. Just left my local store and left with 2 little plants because the selection was terrible.
Where is this? I work in a Home Depot garden center in east Texas. (Zone 8). I wish we could grow some of these here!
Hi there! In Massachusetts
@@HookedandRooted Lucky! So many beautiful plants and flowers I wish we could grow down here in this blistering heat! I LOVE your channel so much!
Hi Steph just watched your video. Loved it. You said it's in zone 6. Where is your store? Thanks
Hi, Thanks for watching, this particular store visit was in Somerset MA.
Great review but the prices in your area are much higher than where I’m at 😬😐👍🏼…thx for all the info🙂🌿🌺🌸🌼🌻🌿
