Was super glad I joined the live stream this week as I’m not too familiar with Quake. As a kid I wasn’t much into pc FPS and only cousins and friends had an N64. I definitely missed out. I’ll definitely have to seek out the Dreamcast Quake port. Sega Hype! Haha Awesome video man! I learned a lot! Thanks so much buddy! 🤘🍀
Il drop you a dm when I get a chance theres also some great ports on sega Saturn and a few others to help out. Thanks as always for the support brother ☘🔥👍🎮
I personally rank them Quake I, Quake II, Quake IV, then the pair of Quake IIIs. I don't enjoy playing first or third shooters multiplayer. I believe the last time I played a FPS PVP was somewhere in the gap between the release of Halo 2 and Halo 3, and while I occasionally play shooter co-op its very rare and even when I do play multiplayer focused shooters I almost always just play with bots.
@@Heaaaps Shotguns are among my favorite video game weapon types so I greatly prefer Quake I's starter weapon to Quake II's. I also prefer the Quake I Nail Guns to the Machine Gun and Chain Gun from the second game. Even hen its close enough I have trouble deciding and will sometimes change my mind depending on my mood.
Never really seen quake 4 before but deffo getting the Doom 3 vibes, looks pretty cool & think I’m gonna have to try & seek out that 360 version with the quake 2 disc 🔥 Got the N64 version of Quake 1 but ain’t put any time into it if I’m honey 🙈 can’t wait to get the remaster though & finally play through it, especially after seeing you live stream. Stellar vid as usual pal 👌👍
Yea pal.pretty rare to get the second disc. Make sure to ask before buying. People take it out of the the copy pf quake 4 for that very reason. Thanks for the feedback and support as usual. Well jealous of the version you got. Make a video when you do! 🔥☘👊
Another great countdown list mate, concise yet detailed :D Sadly I'm nowhere near as well versed on Quake myself, I played the PS1 port of 2 (which is remarkable for its time, Hammerhead did a great job) and the 360 port of Quake 4 which...was like the opposite lol. So poorly optimised for the console. Great work buddy, any more Best Games Ranked planned? Maybe one for the Duke Nukem series? Or another FPS series :D
Maybe somethingnkore obscure than duke haha as I've covered him alot already 😅 yea I mentioned that awful frame rate in the vid of quake 4. PC only for that title absolutely! Thanks as always buddy 🤘🤘
I'm torn between Quake and Quake 2 for top of the list - Quake 2 was a better game for me but Quake created something new first. I definitely upgraded my PC to get 60 FPS on Quake 2 and it was such a fast game! It really showed what PC gaming could do over consoles at the time! Great list and a great video!
PC gaming retro and current is a other area altogether. Retro pcs too are on the way back with some collectors too. PC and gameboy were my childhood really
I honestly consider Quake Live to be superior to quake 3. While it is true that hitboxes are too large and you get ammos faster, live has better maps, better balanced weapons and especially a way better respawn system; you don't get nearly as many spawn frags in ql duel as you do in q3. The best multiplayer quake game, especially for duel
I admit I do really like quake live as mentioned. Be great if they could manage a console version also and bring it to a wider audience but I'd suspect control scheme being the biggest issues for a port. Thanks for watching 👍
Q1 is quite boring. I played it when it was released and never wanted to play it again. Well I did recently and it was just very boring. Maybe because it looks all the same. I was not bored by other classics from that era. I also replayed Q2 and I can say it is still fun.
@@BLUEPELICAN234 I played DN3D like 10 times since and it is still amazing, Q2 has also interestig stuff in it, Outlaws, Shadow Warrior, etc. I can replay these games because they offer interesting stuff. Q1 was scary for me when I was kid but that is about it. Now it does absolutely nothing for me. It is just a very basic shooter that relied on technological progress. I remember it got 7/10 in one pc magazine and I did not understand it but the guy had big balls and called it already back then that it offered nothing else than shiny graphics and competent gameplay.

Nice one pal. Never played many of them but enjoyed the vid. Nothing like a good dose of nostalgia on a Friday afternoon
Cheers pal yea very PC retro if that makes sense but did make many appearances on 5th & 6th gen, Sega Saturn, PS2 dreamcast ect

That'd a decent list in fairness. Quake 1 v Quake 2 was always the hardest choice personally. Bot play in Quake 3 was king 👌

Why don't you just buy them on steam?
@@frankjaeger2565 because I ain’t got a PC 😉
@@GameKulture not even a laptot? Man, that sucks...
Love a bit of quake, such a fast paced shooter, great fun.
Yep a classic! Thanks pal!

Yea quake 1 and 2 are very close I totally agree. Wasn't an easy decision! Thanks pal!
I think I've only ever played a PS2 Quake. Never was into PC gaming so I missed out on so much.

@@Heaaaps yes, there wouldn't really be any point in playing it on console. Also, Quake Champions is way more appealing to modern players
Shamefully I'll admit I've never played more then maybe 10 minutes of quake.
Duuuudde get on it pal!
quake champions?
I actually really like that good shout. Only covered it a few months back
