These bans have really been kicking my butt. I pulled a textured foil Jeweled Lotus, which replaced my foil Jeweled Lotus in my collection, but I hadn't sold it yet, so both are plummeting now. I previously purchased a Foil Etched Dockside, sold my non-foil, but then traded for another non-foil because it was a card I thought I could use in a different trade, now both of them are plummeting. I also traded into an original media promo Mana Crypt, which is also now plummeting. On top of all of that, I literally had a Revised Mana Vault in my cart this weekend for about $40 or $50 and was going to pull the trigger to complete my Revised set, but I didn't, and now it is sky rocketing. So frustrating, but mostly, I'm just bummed I can't play with these cards anymore without a Rule 0 discussion.

I feel yea man. Our entire pod had Lotuses, Docksides, and Crypts and we all had to sit down and have a serious talk about how much we want to buy future "Direct to eternal format" sets and Masters sets. As well as redefining our proxy rule.

Rule 0 exists. Having a banlist in a format where the rules are flexible is nonsensical and there shouldn’t be a market around commander since a proxy is just as legal as the real thing in almost every environment since it’s a non-competitive format for almost every player who participates in it.

Many many years ago, I played SplinterTwin and Modern format. That killed my desire to play that format when the banned happened. Now, this Bann could do that to many Commander Players. I feel for anyone who has spent time and resources to collect those banned cards. Since they not be worth the money to sell. I recommend making a Bann list small Binder. Keep them. Remember that you enjoyed playing with those cards. I have a Binder filled with Banned Commander cards. And now, only have three decks. Try to remember that you can probably still play with these cards with your friends. Casual games with strangers are usually why these bans are a thing. Sol ring should be banned too, if the reasons why they banned the others were true…
