Grrrrl. "I can see my soul in this mirror." FYI, I am laughing out loud (30 seconds) and still laughing out loud, (2 minutes later). I purchased a 10x magnification mirror a few months ago. I thought it would be 10x on one side & flip it and I thought it would be a normal mirror. Aun't. I never did return it. You are my inspiration to just hold onto the dang thing.

For the nyx shine loud, you are supposed to put the gloss on top so it takes away the sticky feeling and gives a nice shiny finish! Great video as usual, thank you!

Actually, I think that there's a law on the books somewhere which dictates that all shopping lists and/or mental lists must be multiplied by a factor of 5 in order to leave the store. As a brown girl that tarte palette looks PERFECT 🤩 been dying for a palette full of deeper, richer shades since I never ever reach for the lighter ones in my palettes.
You should grab some morphe palettes. Their formula has gotten much better the past few years and there's so many shades in every palette that I always think how beautiful they'd be just on richer darker skin tones. Which I do not have.
Thats exactly what i thought when she said its very deep in pigment. It would be perfect for deeper skin tones since most palettes have ashy transition shades

I’ve found myself drawn to makeup looks without mascara. It feels vulnerable and pretty and highlights the eye color. I feel like the portion of this video you had a full face except mascara your eyes were just popping and so pretty! Anyone else? I forgot my mascara the other day and when I noticed I actually loved it. It’s felt so fresh!

I'm loving a simple eye with a glitter on the centre and a pastel inner corner. Or a bronzer in the crease and a duo chrome in the centre. I wear a wash of colour more now I think it looks so trendy
OH forgot my daughter gave me a magnifying mirror a few years ago and the first time I used it I was crying and asking my husband why would she give me a mirror like this! 🥺😭 She came to me and was like “Mama nobody is ever gonna get that close it doesn’t look bad like it so magnified” Now I can use it and I have my makeup looking so much better because I switched my face routine. Yeah!! I’m thinking this summer I might even go back to something like a (gasp) one-and-done all-one-Color with something like Nars’ The Multiple (do they even make that anymore?) or that tinting product from Benefit that comes in the little bottle and looks and smells like rosewater (looks amazing with self tanner and bronzer and works beautifully as a lip stain under the pencil-and-gloss lip look). I did invest in some Fenty Diamond Milk gloss for summer glossing purposes
@@biancachristie I use the Tarte face palette, being blush, bronzer and highlighter. It is the one and done palette! I’m a make-up junky and honestly you need nothing more, nothing less then a palette that provide’s 3 essentials, especially for the summer!

So happy for a second video this week YAY! But being 51 I have been all about skincare this past year or so. From taking care of my skin I have been able to use so much less and look more natural.
Lately I’ve been liking the monochromatic smokey eye look on me, and minimal glitter. I used to go HAM on the glitters! (Yes, I still use your Tati Beauty: Textured Neutrals Palette). Normally I never use greens, and now I do. Hehehe
Oh Tati!! Shimmers in the crease and metallics in the outer corner are beautiful. A bright matte inner corner. There are a lot of one color on the lid trends but there are also a ton of color color color!!! Color editorial liner is super in as well. There has been pretty much an eyeshadow palette a day released since Christmas!! There are a lot coming out!!!!
Awwhh Tati that NYX lip product is intended for you to use the clear gloss on top. Not as an optional step 🥺💝 it 💯 helps it wear better. At least it does for me and many others who have reviewed it.

Hey tati! That nyx lipstick cant be used alone, you always need to apply the topcoat. The best aplication would be: 1 layer of the color, let it dry for 2 min, apply a generous amount of the top coat to seal off the colour. Then reapply throughout the day for comfort. You might want to try it like that 🤍
Also, I like to use the Maybelline Lifter Gloss in 003 Moon over the dried down Nyx lip. I use the clear top coat to seal it in. Then blot and apply the Maybelline gloss.
I love that product specifically. It’s easy to get rid of the stickiness by giving it a good lick, just like the Maybelline superstay matte ink. But yes the top coat! I wish they sold it separately in a full size, it’s such a nice gloss!
I am so over liquid lips. I use them still on super rare occasions, basically when I want a color that I haven’t found in a bullet lipstick yet. But I am 100% on the bullet lipstick train. Mattes or satins, my lips don’t dry out and the fade is just so much more natural than a liquid lipstick

In the past year or two, I've gotten rid of my entire eyeshadow collection. I just wasn't into it anymore. I'm finally getting into it again and feel that less is more. I am all about the one-and-done shadows. Creating simple yet elegant looks is now my jam. Super into the eyeshadow quads, quints, and single eyeshadows. I love love love those super sparkling shadows with translucency to them. They create such a dimensional and sophisticated look. It also doesn't take me two hours to do my make-up any longer lol. Such a bonus.
Even though they were fails, I think your makeup turned out really pretty. The trip to the Nyx lip shine loud is to put the clear top coat over it. The stickiness goes away, and it gives it a beautiful finish. It's completely transfer proof except for a little bit of the gloss that comes off. You can do pretty much anything, and it stays on. 😉

I feel like bright colours and fun makeup still has a huge space in the trends - it’s just far more connected with fashion! I’d love to see “wearable” versions of colourful makeup that coordinates with your outfits! E.g with your current sweater the green matches your eyes already but how could you pull some of the other colours - the purples and browns etc up into your face (:
I actually really like the maybelline matte ink liquid lips, especially if you’re going someplace where you need to wear a mask for any amount of time. Glosses and regular lipsticks are definitely hard to wear with masks!
My skin started to change when I was about your age and I realized that full, heavy makeup no longer looked good on me. I lightened up to a more sheer foundation, less concealer and cream bronzer, blush and highlight and the results looked much better. Edit-PLEASE link the mirror of truth!!!!!!! These eyes need that magnification!
It's important to remember that palette may work great for people with different skin tones. For many people, some of those deeper neutrals are transitional shades.
I have this theory that due to covid, the lockdowns and restrictions we haven’t lived our “normal” lives and for 2 years have grown and changed but now that we are slowly getting back to normal we realize that we aren’t the same and don’t know who we are anymore.
It’s been SO fascinating to see how this has transformed makeup. Cream and liquid products that are faster to apply and look more natural, washes of color on the eyes, fluffy gel brows instead of pencilled in. Everything is so unfussy and casual and meant to give a healthy glow. Entire brands lost relevancy in two years due to this fast shift and we saw the rise of Rare, Ilia, Kosas, Charlotte T, Saie and the continued success of Milk & Fenty.

As someone who’s short sighted and ends up about an inch from the mirror doing their makeup; trust me no one is coming that close! I still end up perfecting it so I think it looks perfect but the general rule of thumb is; arms length away from the mirror!

My favorite low maintenance look is doing a neutral lip liner in a slight mauvey tone (inspired by you of course!) with the orchid juicy lip on top and in my bag so I can reapply in the car/all day. It’s a very satisfying product! I got it for all the women in my family over Christmas. Also, I’m loving to mix the Tarte foundcealer foundation with the Shiseido to embrace a more hydrated look since my skin has also gotten a touch dryer. And P.S. For me I’m so waiting for the mask mandates to end then I’m going crazy with lipstick. I had to do a lot of eyeshadow to balance out the face mask but once they’re no longer required it’s going to be all about the lips. Also I love that sweater. Hey Tati! Love this video. Watching it now. The nyx shine loud needs to be topped off with the clear gloss in the same tube! It is basically a super matte liquid lipstick and a super shiny clear lipgloss in one tube.
I am more into using what I have, while it is fun to see what is new out there because who doesn’t cruise the drugstore make up aisle when they go to the grocery store to see what’s up, we all do. I am maturing woman in my 40s and I don’t look good with excess make up, less is more and I’m really into that clean sophisticated look.
The Huda Beauty brow pencil is my absolute favorite. I love that you felt like you might like it, after getting really close up! That's exactly why I love it. It's so thin for drawing stroke that mimic brow hairs. I feel like in terms of the diameter, it doesn't get more micro than this! I used to enjoy the ABH Brow Wiz, and the L'oreal Brow Definer is nice too. But I have really thin brows (the hairs themselves and in terms of volume lol) and the Huda Beauty gives me such natural hair-like strokes. I can't speak in terms of the brown shades and how ashy/warm they are because I use the darkest shade (soft black). The formula definitely doesn't 'glide' but I use this especially at the 1) front of my brows and the 2) sparse areas, as opposed to using it for 'shading' or 'filling in' my brows. So I don't feel that it needs to glide! If anything, I think it's so nice that it has a tiny bit of tug to it. The texture (tug to glide ratio) is perfect specifically for drawing in strokes!!! In summary I think if someone is using it for that purpose, it's 10/10. For people who just want a quick fill-in, they don't really need the pencil for the front of the brows, and they usually just 'shade in' towards the tail end of their brow, then maybe it's not for them!
I love the Huda eyebrow pencil but purely because of how thin it is. If there are any recommendations for thin eyebrow pencils I would be happy to try something new x
euphoria makeup is king as far as eye looks go right now, especially since season two is even more toned down than season 1-graphic liner, thoughtfully applied rhinestones or pearls, etc. it would be so fun to see your take on it. also agree with you that we don’t relate to the full face crazy makeup anymore, instead focusing on the skin, really natural looking, with some very intentional bold details.

I was thinking the same thing. It would look less intense or “natural” on tan to deep skin tones.

(do they even make that anymore?) or that tinting product from Benefit that comes in the little bottle and looks and smells like rosewater (looks amazing with self tanner and bronzer and works beautifully as a lip stain under the pencil-and-gloss lip look). I did invest in some Fenty Diamond Milk gloss for summer glossing purposes
@@biancachristie I use the Tarte face palette, being blush, bronzer and highlighter. It is the one and done palette! I’m a make-up junky and honestly you need nothing more, nothing less then a palette that provide’s 3 essentials, especially for the summer!

Lately I’ve been liking the monochromatic smokey eye look on me, and minimal glitter. I used to go HAM on the glitters! (Yes, I still use your Tati Beauty: Textured Neutrals Palette). Normally I never use greens, and now I do. Hehehe
Oh Tati!! Shimmers in the crease and metallics in the outer corner are beautiful. A bright matte inner corner. There are a lot of one color on the lid trends but there are also a ton of color color color!!! Color editorial liner is super in as well. There has been pretty much an eyeshadow palette a day released since Christmas!! There are a lot coming out!!!!
I LOVED the Fiona Stiles line and that foundation. I was so, so sad when it was discontinued!
Awwhh Tati that NYX lip product is intended for you to use the clear gloss on top. Not as an optional step 🥺💝 it 💯 helps it wear better. At least it does for me and many others who have reviewed it.

Hey tati! That nyx lipstick cant be used alone, you always need to apply the topcoat. The best aplication would be: 1 layer of the color, let it dry for 2 min, apply a generous amount of the top coat to seal off the colour. Then reapply throughout the day for comfort. You might want to try it like that 🤍
I blot to get excess off and it works wonders. Last and last until I use waterproof cleanser.
Also, I like to use the Maybelline Lifter Gloss in 003 Moon over the dried down Nyx lip. I use the clear top coat to seal it in. Then blot and apply the Maybelline gloss.

I love that product specifically. It’s easy to get rid of the stickiness by giving it a good lick, just like the Maybelline superstay matte ink. But yes the top coat! I wish they sold it separately in a full size, it’s such a nice gloss!

I am so over liquid lips. I use them still on super rare occasions, basically when I want a color that I haven’t found in a bullet lipstick yet. But I am 100% on the bullet lipstick train. Mattes or satins, my lips don’t dry out and the fade is just so much more natural than a liquid lipstick
Also, bullet lipsticks are easier to sanitize vs liquid lipsticks 💄

In the past year or two, I've gotten rid of my entire eyeshadow collection. I just wasn't into it anymore. I'm finally getting into it again and feel that less is more. I am all about the one-and-done shadows. Creating simple yet elegant looks is now my jam. Super into the eyeshadow quads, quints, and single eyeshadows. I love love love those super sparkling shadows with translucency to them. They create such a dimensional and sophisticated look. It also doesn't take me two hours to do my make-up any longer lol. Such a bonus.
Even though they were fails, I think your makeup turned out really pretty. The trip to the Nyx lip shine loud is to put the clear top coat over it. The stickiness goes away, and it gives it a beautiful finish. It's completely transfer proof except for a little bit of the gloss that comes off. You can do pretty much anything, and it stays on. 😉

I actually really like the maybelline matte ink liquid lips, especially if you’re going someplace where you need to wear a mask for any amount of time. Glosses and regular lipsticks are definitely hard to wear with masks!
My skin started to change when I was about your age and I realized that full, heavy makeup no longer looked good on me. I lightened up to a more sheer foundation, less concealer and cream bronzer, blush and highlight and the results looked much better.

It's important to remember that palette may work great for people with different skin tones. For many people, some of those deeper neutrals are transitional shades.
I have this theory that due to covid, the lockdowns and restrictions we haven’t lived our “normal” lives and for 2 years have grown and changed but now that we are slowly getting back to normal we realize that we aren’t the same and don’t know who we are anymore.
All of this. I loved makeup. I still do. But the thought of eyeshadow makes me shudder. The thought of putting on full glam for a wedding. 😱
It’s been SO fascinating to see how this has transformed makeup. Cream and liquid products that are faster to apply and look more natural, washes of color on the eyes, fluffy gel brows instead of pencilled in. Everything is so unfussy and casual and meant to give a healthy glow. Entire brands lost relevancy in two years due to this fast shift and we saw the rise of Rare, Ilia, Kosas, Charlotte T, Saie and the continued success of Milk & Fenty.

As someone who’s short sighted and ends up about an inch from the mirror doing their makeup; trust me no one is coming that close! I still end up perfecting it so I think it looks perfect but the general rule of thumb is; arms length away from the mirror!

Happy Birthday Tati!! Next time you order some Tarte I highly recommend the Maracuja juicy lip. My favorite low maintenance look is doing a neutral lip liner in a slight mauvey tone (inspired by you of course!) with the orchid juicy lip on top and in my bag so I can reapply in the car/all day. It’s a very satisfying product! I got it for all the women in my family over Christmas.
Also, I’m loving to mix the Tarte foundcealer foundation with the Shiseido to embrace a more hydrated look since my skin has also gotten a touch dryer. And P.S. I would totally watch your baking show. 🎂🎉

For me I’m so waiting for the mask mandates to end then I’m going crazy with lipstick. I had to do a lot of eyeshadow to balance out the face mask but once they’re no longer required it’s going to be all about the lips.

Nahhh I'm with traditional lip bullets and I actually like the more satin/velvet finishes. I find they're better for age.
This made me realize I’d love to see a video about how to make some of the fun, youthful, Gen Z, current make up trends a bit more wearable for those of use closer to 30 with more corporate jobs. I LOVE all the cute faux freckles and white liner but I’m not sure how to tone it down so it’s appropriate for my lifestyle and age.
Hey Tati! Love this video. Watching it now. The nyx shine loud needs to be topped off with the clear gloss in the same tube! It is basically a super matte liquid lipstick and a super shiny clear lipgloss in one tube.
I am more into using what I have, while it is fun to see what is new out there because who doesn’t cruise the drugstore make up aisle when they go to the grocery store to see what’s up, we all do. I am maturing woman in my 40s and I don’t look good with excess make up, less is more and I’m really into that clean sophisticated look.

Oh my goodness Tati why!! I almost cried when I read that title 😭😂
The Huda Beauty brow pencil is my absolute favorite. I love that you felt like you might like it, after getting really close up! That's exactly why I love it. It's so thin for drawing stroke that mimic brow hairs. I feel like in terms of the diameter, it doesn't get more micro than this! I used to enjoy the ABH Brow Wiz, and the L'oreal Brow Definer is nice too. But I have really thin brows (the hairs themselves and in terms of volume lol) and the Huda Beauty gives me such natural hair-like strokes. I can't speak in terms of the brown shades and how ashy/warm they are because I use the darkest shade (soft black). The formula definitely doesn't 'glide' but I use this especially at the 1) front of my brows and the 2) sparse areas, as opposed to using it for 'shading' or 'filling in' my brows. So I don't feel that it needs to glide! If anything, I think it's so nice that it has a tiny bit of tug to it. The texture (tug to glide ratio) is perfect specifically for drawing in strokes!!! In summary I think if someone is using it for that purpose, it's 10/10. For people who just want a quick fill-in, they don't really need the pencil for the front of the brows, and they usually just 'shade in' towards the tail end of their brow, then maybe it's not for them!
I love the Huda eyebrow pencil but purely because of how thin it is. If there are any recommendations for thin eyebrow pencils I would be happy to try something new x

euphoria makeup is king as far as eye looks go right now, especially since season two is even more toned down than season 1-graphic liner, thoughtfully applied rhinestones or pearls, etc. it would be so fun to see your take on it. also agree with you that we don’t relate to the full face crazy makeup anymore, instead focusing on the skin, really natural looking, with some very intentional bold details.
