everyone always is complaining that we don't have any good music anymore, but there is so much variety these days, you can almost find anything you like

This is an amazing soundtrack to my secular christmas in lockdown in 2020. I'm alone in my apartment but I'm doing fine cooking and staying in touch with others digitally.
José Gonzales's music has something deeply contemplative about it (especially with all the gorgeous added instrumentation). It made me appreciate where I'm at while also thinking of the many others who are worse off right now. I literally have tears streaming down my face right now and that's alright.

This was fantastic. I’ve been a fan of his for years and had the pleasure of seeing him live twice. The first time was a tiny venue called the Parish in New Orleans and it was MAGIC✨ Second time in Baton Rouge with Junip. Also, quite good. I love this sound too, wish they would play “Hints”. That’s my all time favorite song of his.
Being from the same city as him, José's music goes into everyones' heart. Great guy.

This was really cool. Haven't heard many of these songs for years and years, so it's cool to hear them "reimagined/ rearranged". Cant help but imagine if Nick Drake was still around/ live with a backing like String Theory.

I actually like the stripped down versions of these songs better but this is pretty good as well :)

Love Jose Gonzales used to have crosses and heartbeats on my sleeping playlist and would always queue crosses first it was like life or death that I heard the song before bedtime
crosses was the first song ever for me.. since that time, deeeeep love... I saw him live in Berlin like 15 years ago.. just him with his guitar, a chair, and a microphone.. pure .. warm .. deep .. love ..
But now, with all the "orchestra" 'n stuff... it's not the same anymore.. it lost it's intimacy.. now the music is just like.. popmusic.. möff
But anyways: One of the finest artists of our time!!

Makes me think of Cat stevens a tiny bit (not just his looks, but the emotive ability and tenderness), the music is exquisite, the entire group, wow! What a lovely voice Jose holds.
