I just came across this as I was looking for Wilton guitar info... you did an awesome job with this.. would it be possible for you to share all the amp and effects settings?
Well I made the backing track with Jammit, took the guitars out and you are left with drums vocals and bass... too bad there isnt a vocalist version of the song on jammit then you could actually do that. That would be cool to hear people sing to the actual band track... thanks btw!
Jeremy Sutherland Jammit only has the Empire album, you can buy each song for a few bucks but you can only get a guitar or bass version i think. They have a bunch of other music that you can do that to though, just head to their website and check out the list. They may even have vocal versions now
Hey if you PM me an email I can send a Dropbox link to the backing track I made years ago, no guitars in it. But yeah there's a lot of guitar parts in it lol
I had to build it myself, I had the body custom made to the early 90s Mk2 specs and recreated the graphic in Illustrator, square by square and painted and finished the body. It was a project but a fun one. It is a replica of the guitar Chris uses in the opening of LiveCrime and the tour.
This is incredible, grew up with this album. So are you playing over top of the album wit guitar parts or are the dubbed out? how does that work. Thanks, great work.
Well about 10 years ago there was a sweet little program called Jammit, and you could isolate guitars out of a song in order to learn the parts or play with the band. I created backing tracks of all of the Empire songs that were available for these covers on here. I wish that program still existed. It was great, it included tab also.
Great job! And, as has been said, we all love that tri-ryche guitar! Is that a Duncan Custom in the bridge position? Rosewood or ebony fretboard? Yesterday I received a 2008 ESP LTD MH-400 I bought off of ebay for $363. I played it all day and was just getting ready to play this song...
StratMatt777 Hey thanks a million! Sadly though that guitar no longer exists in that form... its in pieces being resurected as Chris DeGarmo's Warhol guitar.... should have something to show in a few months \m/
+Rod Gosser Did you ever get the DeGarmo Warhol done? I tried that several years ago with a Vinyl overlay and it looked good from 5 feet. I wish ESP would have made that a signature model. It was probably the best "graphic" finish of any of the 80's/90's guitars.
LOVE.....Moosic soothes the soul....
Frickin EPIC!!! Unbelievable tone and skilz. You nailed it. Love the work you did on the custom Chris DeGarmo.

Nicely done :)
Amazing
You did a great job man. It would be awesome if this didn't have vocals on it so I could put my own vocals down. Excellent work on this!

Does jammit work well on all songs or just certain ones? I definitely want to experiment putting my own vocals down on different tunes.

Rod Gosser The black one with green and red? That's my favorite! Cool!

Not bad but out of tune a bit
only thing that bothers me is that the guitar is out of tune, or maybe the song is played in a different frequenzy
