    All things considered with mealies, slugs and wood lice, I would say your sesquelidale is a very resilient orchid. She will grow well again, that top leaf says so 🤩🥰

      I think you're quite correct Fernanda that these are very resilient plants.......I've put it indoors where it will get a much warmer environement.......Thank you and take care..........

    Good afternoon Ed. Thank you for sharing the repotting of the Sequipidale. It had a healthy roots. I repotted my Crestwood few months back and cut half of the trunk. It rerooted well. It hadn't bloomed since. Hopefully I didn't disturb it much(I may have). Thank you Ed and have a good week. Catherine.

    Thanks so much, Ed. I have one of these. Video will help me when repotting. Didn't realize this orchid had become more difficult to acquire.

      Don't repot it Pat unless you have no option but to do it......they hate being disturbed,
      Ed.

    What a large plant looks quite good yeah yellow leaves but we all have yellow leaves sometimes on our plants and then they just fall off at least you got some nice new ones on top nice big pots and some nice new media probably helping it on its way slugs or a pain

    • @EdsOrchids
      @EdsOrchids  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment Andrea. Unfortunately the yellow on the leaves wasn't caused by age but by mealy bugs which are a nightmare once they attack Angraecums.....take care and thank you,
      Ed.

    Looks good I am sure it will do well
    The anagraecum you sent me is doing well
    All my orchids are doing better since I invested in a soldering iron and put plenty of air holes in thepots

    Hi Ed! I hope you are keeping well. You sound great! Your Sesquipedale is looking great despite its invaders! I find mealie bugs relentless! They are magicians, they always seem to be able to reappear. Do I remember correctly that at some time in the last year or two you cut the stem of this plant into two plants! Did both pieces start to grow. Did the bottom ever make keikis? Perhaps it is another plant I am thinking of. I crown rotted mine and had to cut the stem. The bottom part has grown about 4 or 5 keikis. I hope yours brings you some beautiful blooms in the not too distant future. Take care and have a lovely week!

      Hello Beverly so nice to hear from you.. You are right this is one of the plants ( the other one was a Vietchii ) which I chopped down to size. Fortunately the main parts of the plant have taken but the lower halves which had no leaves tried to put out a kieki from the top of the stem but gradually went to the great garden above. I am very well thank you as I hope you are.......thank you and take care,
      Ed.
