Same. I totally cried when the old husband saw all those people come in. It reminded me when I was at my uncle funeral. And Brett and Casey really shined in this episode and showed how amazing they are as human beings and the Brett and Casey relationship seems so organic at this moment that I can't wait to see what other scenes or situations they get themselves in. I really hope the season ends with them admitting their feelings!!!

That was NOT David Selby acting. That was Tim Larson grieving for his wife, and showing his tearful gratitude to Firehouse 51 and Chicago for their sincere grief in sharing his loss. The amazing thing about this show was that I did not see actors performing; instead, I felt as if I was a witness to a true to life event. KUDOS the cast and crew of Chicago Fire!

I can't imagine what that was like for the old man, losing his wife and the only living family he has left is Dusty the cat. But then Brett and Casey, Firehouse 51, and the people of Chicago showed up and were comforting the man, and I cried so hard. This man deserves happiness for the rest of his life, and praise to 51 and the people of Chicago 😭🙌

You know what. I watch Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, 911, N.C.I.S & other ION shows only because they are a very good example & they remind me of why I want to be either a cop, a firefighter, a paramedic, a soldier in the army or just someone that works in the hospital. I used to want to be a veterinarian but, when I find out they have to cut open a lot of animals veterinarian got removed from my list of dream jobs. I would like to work in an animal rescue team too. But, I just want to pass away knowing that I was & always will be an hero to a lot of people in the world. I just want to pass away knowing that I made a huge impact in the world to make the world a better place & knowing that I saved a lot of lives. I have family members that work in emergency response teams. Ever since the first time I watched 911, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire & Chicago Med for the first time with my parents & my sister & I believe I was 4 at the time. But, ever since I watched 911, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire & Chicago Med for the first time with my family I knew that's what I wanted to do in the future. This video & the episode that had this clip in it is the main episode that reminds me why I want to do this in the future. 💜❤
Special message for all of the USA & ION TV shows cast members: Thanks guys for doing these USA & ION TV shows. I have gotten addicted to each of them since the first time I watched each of those shows. When I'm in a bad mood & having a bad day your shows always make my day so much better. I wake up & I get extremely excited for the day because I know that I can watch your shows after I get done with school, chores & etc. You guys have no idea how many lives your shows have impacted & made a lot better. I just want you to know that we love your shows & we love each of the cast members in each of your shows a lot. So, thanks for that. Also, your guys friendship with each other is amazing. I love your guys friendship! Keep up the good work! 💜❤

I love this show and something they continue to do is bring back actors from my time, the 60s and 70s growing up, and have them in small roles. The actor playing the elder man alone at the funeral was a constant back in the day. I tried to look up his name and could not find it but I saw him so many times on daytime soaps, Mannix, Dark Shadows and other shows from back in the day. Actors like that paved the way for todays actors and it is very nice seeing them.

The actor playing the widower is David Selby. And the fact he didn’t win an Oscar or anything for this iconic moment is utterly disgraceful. Because you cannot help but start to shed tears as he sees all those people coming in.

I was starting to get teary because there's so much meaning in this little part of the series saying that people stand up for one another even if they don't ask for it.

My grandfather who was my father figure for most of my young life. He passed away two months ago. One of the nicest people you could've met. I miss him more as each day goes by. But he looks down on me each day with a smile, saying how proud he is of me for being able to take on each day with a smile!! I love you Paw Paw

What's so heartbreaking is the fact that he did not expect anyone to come, then Firehouse 51 and the rest of Chicago bettered his expectation and showed up, supporting him.

Wow! You can really see what this two are capable of. They help to open deeper emotions and show it to others, they make each other more.
I'm so happy to know there is 3 more seasons and we will see them growing into an amazing team, friends, couple.
Cause guys if it's not the happiness they both deserve than I'm not sure they can be happy at all on the show.
