Is it possible to remove the rear spring shocker permanatly? I don't want the rear shocker on the bike anymore, so is it possible to remove it permanatly?
For that KYB shock, can you just loosen the pre-load rings past the threads and allow them to drop all the way off? Seems that would would free up the extra few inches to get the collar off for guys like me that don't own a spring compressor. Is that not advisable?
The ring won't fall down onto the non threaded area, as its actually wider on the non threaded part, so it would just result in the collar bottoming out
If you go to the Racetech website it has a calculator tool that allows to select your bike and rider weight. From there the website will give you a recommendation on what springs to go for front and rear Hope this helps!
Does it matter which end of the spring goes on top or bottom?
Awesome information!! Thanks!
Thanks, this was direct and to the point.
Awesome video, made it look easy, I’ll see how I go. Great stuff 👍

Great spring compression tool !!
I have a CRF 250 L and the rear suspension is too light for my weight. What do you suggest?
