What map should you take with you when walking the Southern Upland Way

  • Whenever you are out in the countryside whether walking, cycling, riding or any other activity you should always carry a map and a compass and know how to navigate using them. Although GPS systems now make it easy to find where you are they rely on batteries and satellite signals so you should never rely on them entirely.
    There are several maps available that you can use to navigate the Southern Upland Way. In this video I go over the options available and give my opinion of what you should take with you when out on the route.

    Very handy maps those. Great walk, Southern Upland Way, as well. Couldn't believe how quiet it was, in places, in late summer.
