FYI when you release the door handle trim there is a cut out underneath the handel to stick plastic pry tool in the perfect spot for getting started. If you go through top first there's a good chance scuffing the leather or worse.
Nice guide. Can you tell me how to remove the wooden trim strip containing the interior door handle please? It doesn’t seem to just pull off like older models.
Lots of complains from bmw fans that they were not to impressed about the car being built in China. After watching this it seems as if the built quality is actually better on this model compared to previous models. Also seems better then mb.
All BMW that I know of it's pretty much same process. If you don't have a tweeter then skip first step. But some like F30 for example you have to pop off the trim directly behind the lever to open door and there is 1 screw there and other behind the door handel trim. They all pop off around door make sure the plastic rivets are lined up or you will break when putting door on. Sometimes they break when comming off the older the car and if it's cold. Sometimes I'll get a hair dryer and warm up door or pop a couple then get hot air inside. I've had glue fail and whole piece comes off.

I guess that goes for G30s being sold in America. In Europe we get the 5 series from Germany.
