Thanks for the detailed comparison 😊. I like the small type size and the increased line spacing. But noticed that the new edition has smaller margins. I think the new spine hubs could pretty easily be tooled in and made to look nicer. That's what I would do if I had one.
Drop cap for chapters are way more important than words. It looks like the chapters would be a pain to find. I don’t understood why they thought this was a good idea. Good review!!
Thank you for the video !!! I wonder if all these changes is them just trying to re-wamp their best q series bibles and make it more uniform. I guess we will see if other translations will follow the ESV and NLT in the near future. It’s interesting but when I pulled my NASB (thin line) I noticed that I had a significant amount of lined paper after revelation, this was followed only by maps.
Hey Chris, thanks for taking the time to do this comparison! Are you going to be looking at the new/redesigned ESV PSQ? I’ve got that one on the way and am excited about it. It looks like it may be the perfect “all in one” Bible.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the video. I just got a new PSQ in Imperial Blue and the goatskin seems a little different than my other Schuyler bibles. It’s a bit shinier, stiffer & more “plastic” like in its feel. Dare I say it seems a bit thinner and “lesser” quality…just seems a bit less supple than my others. How does the black goatskin compare on your new vs old Quentel? Thanks again for the video!
Hi Aaron! Thanks for the comment. So I also purchased a new PSQ ESV in Black Goatskin that I haven’t reviewed yet and I found that the goatskin on both this new Quentel and the new PSQ in black goatskin is phenomenal. It could be possible that the specific goatskin you received on that Bible is different due to the fact that each goats skin is different from the next. This can be a love or hate relationship with goatskin. Since Schuyler Bibles are handcrafted, there will always be some variation to quality and build.
I forgot to write when I saw this first last night that comparing the thickness is really helpful! Thanks, brother.

I think the rounded spine on the new one makes it a bit thinner too
@@CobyMunsey good point!

Hi Timothy, yes. I should be receiving a new ESV PSQ in Saddle Brown Calfskin tomorrow and plan on shooting a video when I receive it.

Have you seen any printing errors or faded pages in the new Q? Several copies have had this problem.
@@souldier2425 Hi, I have not!
