Love the colors of the Loralei shawl, hope it blocks out bigger than you think :). Beautiful top too, you are so close to being done! Have a great week friend

I finally caught a video. One day I am going to have time to watch back videos. There are so many pretty makes. I agree with you on the knitted shawl. It looks so dense and then so airy to me that I don't think it will lay properly. I have a 20-hour a week job now and am training 4 hours a day on the computer, so my eyes aren't happy watching videos. Also, I have been getting out and doing things with friends on the weekends.

That is a lot of screen time on the eyes. I'm glad you're getting a break and having fun on weekends.

Hope the shawl works out you’ve put a lot into it. The top is looking good. I have one of those yarn holders. I use it some but I have to be able to set it on the table beside me for it to pull off without tangling.
    Pretty projects folks shared. 🙌🏼

I've found it works fine with wound skeins, but for the balls of yarn, I use the yarn bowl.

I try my knitting on as well. I use barber cord and pull it through my stitches to try it on. It works so effectively and quickly.

I've heard of doing that, but I've never tried it before. I might have saved some rip outs if I had.

I like the colors with that brown shawl, but you may have to frog it if it doesn’t lay right. You don’t want it to end of in the tub of shame. I also really like the other shawl and sweater, can’t wait to see them when they are all done. Very nice show and tell projects. I haven’t crafted much these past few weeks, been too busy. Congratulations on your growing subscribers.

I was watching a documentary the other night about a character named Cropey and it took place not far from where you live.

Would using a bigger hook helped the shawl? It is very pretty in spite of its size. Love everyone's makes.

Thankfully, I finished the shawl and it blocked out to a good size.

If you end up remaking the brown part of the shawl, using a lighter weight yarn and or a larger diameter knitting needle. Either can make the fabric lighter, larger needles may make the shawl larger, take more yatn, better drape/hand maybe? 🤔

I think some of the problem, too, was that although the brown is fingering, it is heavier than the other yarn. I'm hoping it will block out.

I hate to suggest frogging, but maybe you could redo that Lorelei Shawl using a larger size needle so it is drapey. You may have a much tighter tension causing it to be less drapey. I’d hate for it to end up in your misfit projects bag. The colors are so pretty.

I'm trying to slog my way through it. The lacy part looks fine, it's mainly the garter stitch part. I think the brown yarn is a thicker/heavier fingering weight than the other yarn. I hope I can salvage it.
