    My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

    ...my 385XL with the Mercury 4-stroke 6 hp does 27 kph...solid transom wheels are better because you don't have to fight with them to deploy them when on the water and about to beach, like with air-filled tires...

    I have the same sk470xl like yours for a year. Deflating and flatiing was getting tired for me so i decided to buy a hitch extender for my 5.5 short bed truck. Now I just keep it flated and back up and launch like a jon boat. Just an idea for you if you get tired and very time consuming. You wanna get into the water fast to catch them fishes lol.

    • @laingej
      @laingej  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes!! if i had the space to keep it inflated i would! I know is a pain to inflate and deflate .. sometimes i think about it twice before going out hahaha just dreading the setting up time and packing all..but i live in an apartment with no yard so..once i move to a house i will get a small trailer maybe. Thanks for the advice.

    I have the exact same boat. It performed really well and I loved it while it held air. Unfortunately, after about the 4th use, 3 of the 4 Chambers developed a slow leak that I cannot find. Also, the floor seam blew out on the second use. Great performing boat, but seems mine had some manufacturing issues because I took very good care of it yet still had issues after a few uses. Wish mine was still usable. ...looks like a great fishing setup you've got.

    • @laingej
      @laingej  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh sorry to hear that man what airpressure u were putting in it i never exceed 10 psi floor ans 3.6 psi on tubes and it is a hot day i pump less cause with heat adds more pressure

    • @Frank020
      @Frank020 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eric take it home some dish soap water mix.and see where the air leak is. A lot.of times leaks are in the pressure valve where you put air, but you can clean rocks out, or buy a new pressure valve. If you can't install it I would take it to one of these tire.places small shops, and see if they can install it for you. If it's a small leak somewhere else easy fix. patch it. Same tire shop if you don't feel confident, but ask Saturn for the glue.

    • @laingej
      @laingej  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the tubes should be a simple fix.. pin hole or valve but i dont know about the floor he says he blew the seam maybe glue it back with the pvc glue

      I got the same one and it's great. Also got the bimini which I just had to narrow a bit and fitted it on the second pair of padlocks, so easy to remove. I've had my wife, two girls 9 & 12 yrs and small dog on it and used underseat bags that fit on seats for clothes, snorkeling gear and food and it worked a treat.
      I've also had it trolling on ocean and got a nice spotted mackerel, but still trying to sort my sounder.
      Great little boat. Had a slow leak on valve, which was easy fix, just remove, clean and replace. Got tired of deflating and packing, so just rigged a pully in my garage and easily hoist inflated boat without foor so it hangs above my car so I just drop it down when I need it.
      We have a big lagoon or broad water with lots of shallow sandbanks, so looking to put a jet drive on 9.9hp 4stroke so I can go very shallow. Lose about 20% power, so may do what you did and increase power to compensate. Great and very informative videos.

      @@AllenMaestas i had a bracket just like that worked well for a pair of 12” kayaks i had. A different story with the 300lbs kaboat+motor, i tried to haul on my bed once.. its too large and heavy. Its a pain in the butt way easier to inflate on site and launch it with its launching wheels or a trailer. But if you have a friend to help you you good. Im by my self. When picking it up out the water onto the bed thats the painfull part you either pick the hole thing or dismount the motor on the water. I prefer to dismount the motor on dry land drain fuel on dry land and all that. If i keep it inflated im getting a jetki trailer.
