About the first 38 episodes of Pokémon. After the Porygon incident, all the episodes that had aired before had a filter put on them so the lights weren't so bright. So the case is just the original chapters without that filter. It is known that on Hulu Japan they were available for a while, but then they were removed and the versions we all know were uploaded.
More MCR stuff because I'm a loser:

I think what 21:20 refers to a change in terms of service in the fanfiction site back in 2012 (I think) that removed adult fanfiction from the site, resulting in a lot of lost forum posts, fan fictions and comments due to having "adult content" I put it in quotation because as far as I remember even extremely tame things like the word "breast" or swear words got fanfictions and comments de-listed, with no prior warning
This is definitely part of it. FFN also removed all fanfics related to Anne Rice’s work (she infamously threatened to sue fanfiction writers, which is why a lot of old fanfics have “disclaimers” on them), as well as removing the entire section for MST3K when it outlawed “MST” fics (where someone took someone else’s fic and reposted it with commentary), which resulted in tons of fics that were ACTUALLY ABOUT MST3K being deleted without warning. FFN at one point also removed the ability for authors to use certain characters or long words or repeated characters, resulting in some fics getting seriously mangled. (For example, “He gave her $2000” would get mangled to “He gave her 20.” It doesn’t do this anymore, but the old fics remain mangled.)
The Lost Media community has inspired me to create a personal archive of media I enjoy, especially the works of independent creators that have the greatest risk of being lost.

I’ve actually looked into the whole iceberg weeks ago, and seeing some of the more controversial/NSFW/NSFL entries had me worried because I figured it would be a challenge for you to explain them in a way that makes sense while also avoiding the videos getting age-restricted/taken down. But I’m very impressed about how you’re cruising through the iceberg. I’m excited to see the full explanation completed (and most likely some of the previous entries being updated as a good portion of them have been found during this whole series)
Dude I know these might be real hell to research and put together but seeing a notification with a new episode of this iceberg ALWAYS puts a smile on my face. One of my all time favorite video series. Honestly I quietly hope it never ends sometimes.

You know, I'm happy when this series gets a new entry. However, I find it really annoying when the end of an entry is "might have been cancelled due to sinister reasons" idk man give all the story, it's frustrating
Ringu: Brussels Cut - the primary difference between this version of the film and the theatrical release relates to the open-mouthed appearance of the corpse shown in the background during that segment. In the Brussels Cut, the people killed by the curse supposedly had their mouths stretched open further, almost making the spread of their lips vertical instead of horizontal. Such a change would have required FX work, and is unlikely to have been abandoned if it ever existed. It probably doesn't exist and is probably caused by the Mandella Effect, since only one person ever really claimed to have seen it.
BUT, there is the tiniest piece of lost media for the Ring. There was a cut of the film shipped to Houston a week before the release for a private screening. It has one scene, the scene where Noah is breaking into the medical records room to get records on Samara. The scene where he's opening the door in this cut had Noah calling the staff member a shit-head or asshole or something. It was presumably re-dubbed for ratings reasons, and because Noah's mouth isn't visible during the scene.
Source: Me. I was one of about twelve people at the screening. The screening was a "thank you" to the guy who ran the biggest Ringu/Ring fansite in English and played a role in the viral advertisement before the release. His name is Javier Lopez, and he's an excellent Japanese-English translator. (If you are watching Ringu for the first time, I recommend searching for his translation of the screenplay and using that instead of any of the existing subtitles. It's annotated for the first-time viewer)

I'm not sure how worthy Gerogerigegege (I think it's jair-roh-jair-rii-jee-jee-jee) is of being part of the lost media iceberg. Not to discredit them, to be clear-the noise scene in general has just historically had a *ton* of limited-run (sometimes limited-to-one-copy) releases, and the Japanese noise scene in the 80s/90s was no exception.

@@equarep1725 did you place "Nintendo TV Series Brasilian/Portuguese Dub" on the Iceberg? These are: Kirby Right Back At Ya!, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World (cartoon), Donkey Kong Country (Cartoon), The Legend Of Zelda (cartoon). Most of the Mario, Zelda and DK episodes are on TH-cam on the channel "MaxwellThuThu". The Kirby anime has around 65 episodes on Internet Archives, uploaded by a friend of MaxwellThuThu, youtuber "NintendoFan". They only had 5 Kirby episodes found, until last year, when they found a lot of episodes (but not all of them). Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3 were completelly found last year, I think around early June, but only Uploaded later that year

Oooh I have my own "How to Avoid Screamers" that's technically lost media now. It was back around 2008, I was very young and it was just some super basic windows movie maker slideshow but I remember it got enough views to end up on the front page of TH-cam (when that was a feature). That whole channel got deleted at some point but I've always been kind of sad about that

Is deleted video from CCTV cameras "lost media" ? To me ," lost media" is anything that is now unavailable without the prior intention to render it unavailable.

i actually remember watching the Bill Cosby sex tape too at my school, though I didn't think that the actor was Bill Cosby at all. That was one segment of 3 talking about female puberty, male puberty, and what SA is and how to report it. The 'Cosby' one was about a father and son, so Bill Cosby didn't just walk into some kids room and ask him why his sheets were wet.
This was around the same time frame OP said, 2002-2003, though I think for me it was closer to 2003 because I think I was in the 4th grade. The VHS quality looked like it had been recorded in the 90s, I think.

21:43 This is referring to a "purge" that occurred years ago. IIRC the website wanted to have a more ad friendly image so it just straight up purged a shit ton of fanfictions on a huge scale. It's the reason why many fan media websites (and art websites in general) have a "download/save" function, and why so many artists (fan artists and not) encourage people to download/backup their stuff if they post it online.
The 37 lost episodes of pokemon thing, is probably that the anime company went back and edited the first run of episodes to have less severe flashing lights, and refuses to release the original, unedited versions in high quality. America got the edited/censored versions for our original broadcast. You can find clips from episode 1 if you look for them.
Halo Mega Blocks does make sense, they had the Halo license at the time and it seems like they were trying to get into the game industry like Lego did. Had the game released and succeeded, it's possible other Mega Blocks licenses could've gotten games as well (maybe even their own take on the toys-to-life genre like Lego Dimensions).

Ayeee Yo, i remember going to the Pokemon show in Sydney with my family. I was only 5 at the time, it was around the time of the Sydney Olympics. So many people had no idea what was going on. Damn, the meg@kids CDs, I'm venezuelan, and my mom made sure to build as many El Nacional collections as she could, because she was really good friends with a newspaper stand lady nearby where she worked, I'm not 100% sure, but I think my grandma might still have all 9 or 10 volumes at her place, I remember playing one of the CD's a lot as a kid because it had this weird ass piranha game that I played for hours. I think there was meg@kids and also some sort of disney edutainment series that I played a lot as a kid too. I will ask around.
