Girlfriend of the ranger owner here! Still can't thank you guys enough!! You guys saved us a lot of trouble and we found some great TH-cam channels that we're big fans of now.
It's real fun helping people. It's why I like going through real bad mountain passes when the weather sucks. If nobody else goes over it, there's nobody to find those that need help.
Amazing how many people don't understand the dangers of the mountains, snow, and remote locations out west. KNOW before you GO especially if you're not from the WEST. I recall moving to Cali from GA in 1995 and hearing about a family that went missing coming over a mountain pass in a snow storm. It was early in the day, there was snow and the took their mini van down a forrest service road off the main road to see the snow and have fun with the kids. Along came a blizzard type "quick" storm and, well their bodies were found inside the mini van a couple of months later after the snow melted and the road opened up. Great instinct man and awesome content. God bless you and all those who have done the same. Be kind, be humble, and give thanks for all you blessings.
That's a story I have heard many times over the years. Snow and desert are both very dangerous if you are unprepared. And I couldn't imagine driving by someone's kids that need help on a mountain. The feeling you would have if you saw them on the road and then saw them missing on the news a few days later...
Happy trails, Nate. The most important project is to build a great life, supported by a strong family, and reinforced with great friends. Thanks for taking us along.
Hey koudos to you for helping your fellow man out Where I'm from you never leave a man stranded, it's an unwritten rule Keep it up on the 🔥 content always a good Sunday morning entertainment
Sunday mornings don't get any better, pretty much all my favourite youtube channels, always fun wheeling in the snow and always with friends never by yourself, you got as much articulation today in the snow as you did last week at KOH ,so the Tacoma is capable rock and snow crawling machine, excellent video we got a blizzard that lasted a little better than 2 days and now the wind continues and the temps are dropping pretty good , time to get out and assess how much snow to clear, always fun in the great white north 👍
Rescuing strangers is a culture that needs to be cultivated in this community. There are definitely lots of good folks offroad but I still get comments from people saying it's to risky, and I could be sued. I believe this is important 👍
I have been the person stuck in the woods and had people just drive right on by and not stop, even had a convoy of 15 jeeps go buy and not one person stopped. It's good to see good Samaritans
Nate Ive been watching you for a couple years now i think, and this is by far my favorite video to date!!! I did the gull wing windows in my 99 XJ and cant thank you enough for that. But the rescues you performed during this day of wheeling is a phenomenal example of the way ALL of us should be! Thank you so much for representing the human race so splendidly!
Up in Canada BC where I live my buddy created an off road rescue page 6 years ago for people who like to help just for people who get there vehicles stuck....glad you guys were able to help those folks
Great job filming and editing. I love the content. The extra time you take to get all the shots and drone footage makes each episode that much more entertaining. Keep up the good work.
I have to say this video is the type of reasons I enjoy the off-road community. A good majority go out to have a good time and are always willing to lend a hand. It's not the show scene where everyone just wants to judge each other
Hey Nate, sorry you are leaving social media for a while. You are one of the few 4x4 TH-camrs that I maintain respect for. Hopefully things work out. Good luck with life.
You are easily one of the best and most wholesome people in the whole offroad youtube sphere. Can only hope more people will be inspired to try and help each other while out on the mountains!
Never ceases to amaze me how many people are unprepared for winter driving particularly in the high country. In the back of my pickup truck is a backpack in it a set of snow chains been in the back of the truck for 12 years and never used. The same square point shovel that I have put somewhere near 750,000 miles on in a big rig truck, I've had for as many years as I've had those snow chains.
Those situations you encountered are exactly why in Australia you are required to have a permit to drive on seasonal shut tracks (places with deep snow). You still get some snow to drive in without but it really limits you to a couple of mountains so it gets super busy. Mind you we don’t get snow like that. You’re a good dude so expected nothing less but still good on ya for helping out 👍🏻 world wide community!
Gotta say. Sundays are the best. Love videos like this. Glad to see you helping out people trying to get out and have a good time, even if they are having trouble.
Great video. Definitely a good reminder to never travel alone and bring some sort of recovery gear. “Nate’s off Road Recover” has a good ring to it!! Keep it up Nate!!
What a helpful group of Samaritans. Thank goodness you were able to assist with the couple and the hikers. Cold nights on a mountain and not having suitable clothing can be a deadly combination. Well done Nate👍
I wish I could give you a thousand 👍🏽s‼️you’re a amazing good samaritan for helping those people. I live in Seabeck, WA and I want to start building up my ‘18 Taco to do fun stuff like this. Hopefully I’ll see you around. Keep up the great work and the amazing content.
Nate my man, you've gotten so good at making videos. Not talking about content, that's always been good. Talking about B-roll, editing, music selection, getting the shot, etc. Love the vids bud, my YJ is Jeep #13 and the wife's 4runner is Yota #2. Hope to get out west with it some day, I'll hit you up if I do.
Another great video. The world needs more people like you and your friends. I also liked the lit antennas. Looked like a lightsabre fight when going over rough terrain. Lol
Oof, that ranger definitely seems like a circumstance of “always stay with your vehicle”. Couldve ended badly. Good on ya for rescuing them, and good on ya for putting it in the video. This may have convinced a number of people to travel a little more prepared while offroad. 👍
went snow wheeling last weekend and pulled out 3 rigs... one that was up to the frame and no one was able to get it out. needed a pully to double the winch strength to get it out. Lots of people very unprepared and the early melt is making the snow really tough to drive in
Awesome stuff, always help other if the chance presents itself. Nate, get some well deserved rest and come back strong! Myself and my son love your content. TH-cam will always be here, but time with family and your young son is very precious.
It sucks when your rig goes down & no one can figure it out . The million dollar question . Did you check the new alternator ??? I went through 5 to get a good one . It's a crazy time we live in
After a few hours we decided to move on. I'm not sure what Maxx has done since the video but testing the new alternator definitely came up. Wouldn't be the first time I've gotten new parts that are bad out of the box 🤦♂️
Great video. Could you tell me what tires you guys ran for this trip, and how you feel they performed in the varying snow conditions for the day that would really be helpful. I'm in the market for new Mudders that perform fairly decent in Snow/Ice.
Girlfriend of the ranger owner here! Still can't thank you guys enough!! You guys saved us a lot of trouble and we found some great TH-cam channels that we're big fans of now.
Glad you are all safe and that this was a.easy lesson to learn. Be prepare for the worse and be glad u where then sorry u wasn't!!
I love this so much. What a cool community
What are those wheels? Method 701s or 704s?
Well done helping others. You are a leader in the offroad world and a inspiration to all of us.
Thank you 🙏
@@DirtLifestyle your welcome, I hope your taking a break for family time. Take care of you and yours. The rest of us will be here when your ready.
@@DirtLifestyle I seen your comment on Matt's off road recovery page started following you as well
Love that “help others if you can” mentality! We need more people like this out there!!
Best part about the off-road community, everyone is more than willing to help you get out!
One of these days I'll un-clap that toyota! Bummed i couldn't wheel with you guys but I still had a great day! Also, that human starfish lol 😆
That human starfish was flattering :-)- lol funny man!
It's real fun helping people. It's why I like going through real bad mountain passes when the weather sucks. If nobody else goes over it, there's nobody to find those that need help.
Every time Max does anything there’s bound to be a Maxident of some kind🤪
i was waiting for his snow star to end in blood honestly
This is my curse lol 😆
@@Maxx.Powell you guys may have saved a few lives so hopefully the curse is reversed either way good on ya for helping those desperate folks🤙🏽
One of the great pleasures I get when out on the trail is helping others. You can make some great friendships that way.
Best part of Sunday mornings!!!
Thank you!
Props for helping out. The good nature of the 4x4 community makes me proud to become part of it. I help people on the trail any chance I can

This was probably the most articulation I have had required to navigate snow. Huge sink holes sure made for a fun day. 👍
I always will go out of my way to rescue somone in need. Nice rescupaloosa...👍✌

Thanks for keeping it clean Nate! A good time with the buddies is always refreshing!

Great job Nate.

Those kids remind me of a younger me. Old Ford Ranger, stuck totally unprepared and alone in the middle of nowhere on my first 4 wheel trip.
Great saving trup.
Cheers. 🍻
Nice one bet there were all well happy
Awesome video bro! If more people cared this much for others this world would be a lot better off!
Man, I need to hang with people like you guys.
Another great video. The world needs more people like you and your friends. I also liked the lit antennas. Looked like a lightsabre fight when going over rough terrain. Lol
Good on you guys. Some people just don't think before they do things like that.
Are you done with the overlanding trailer series?
Nice job helping out fellow wheelers and hikers 👊🇺🇸
The "Ole Golden Rule" shines through with you Nate!👍❤💯
Looks like that Toyota is working well!

Good on You!
Nice shot of raineer
