About this game:
We fused card games and roguelikes together to make the best single player deckbuilder we could. Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and Slay the Spire!

@@GrandpaWorm And his usual play is kind of "Empty Mind". I mean how long before he figures out that he doesn't have to play miracle turn 1 unless he actually needs energy, then how much longer before he remembers that he figured it out? And then there's the other issue that even in his other series he barely grasped of "play damage buffs before other attacks". At least he called out himself missing that one several times in this video so he's aware he does that wrong.

Huge props to the Megacrit team for not just making the new character unique to the existant three, but also unique to the Slime Boss, Marisa, and the Disciple, the three kings of the Steam Workshop. Incredible that they can still add new things to the game that don't look like anything else!
HolyDeviant1 You can tell that they actually care and try to put only top notch quality additions into the game.
Takes them a year to release a, free mind you, new character. You can see they put that time into every little detail

It is very very similar to the character who puts on different masks in steamworld quest though.

That last judgement was incredible. He has one card to play next turn, 1 hp, the boss is attacking, he will draw 4 cards and 3 cards that aren't judgement are in his draw pile...

just so you know Northern, the scrying does work the same as in magic (As in scry 3 means check the top 3 and do what you want with them) but you're right ofc that its either top of draw or bottom of draw, not discard in MTG

I almost guarantee we're going to be getting a fifth character. Probably not for a while, since they've been talking about adding alt routes on act four/a fifth act, but they're not nearly done with this gem yet. Expect at least another two years of development.
IamI3rian oh yeah I’m sure. It’s just weird that the release build was so heavily built around triangles and then now we’ve got a fourth character that doesn’t really fit into any of those niches. I trust them though even if so far I think the watcher is kinda a bad character

IamI3rian no not necessarily either of those but sorta like bloated and inelegant? I feel like every card tries to make itself a synergy instead of the other three decks which are many simple ideas that make up a bigger idea. Like Mantra in a vacuum is an interesting idea but it ends up being way sloppier. I will say I still think they’re a good and fun character but a step down from the other 3

Small correction/expansion on the Scry mechanic:
Magic the Gathering:
Scry X: You look at the top X cards of your library. Then you can place any number of them on the top and/or bottom in any order.
Example: Scry 3, you put two on the bottom and leave one on the top, you can choose which one will be your last and second to last card
Small extra: Scry is a mechanic featured in a rule called 'Vancouver mulligan' in MtG.
STS: Exactly the same, but you don't seem to be able to choose the order if you leave them on the top. For the discard it doesn't matter(*for now), since it's shuffled anyway.
*later on we may or may not see an effect which draws back our last played card from the discard pile, this would make that part also important

Uh no, Scry 2 in Magic would be "Look at the top 2 cards of your library. You may put one or both on the bottom of your library. Put the rest back in any order."

Samcaesar yeah but surveil puts it to the bottom of the deck while explore is in the graveyard/discard it.
when weave "is discraded from your deck" it goes to your hand, if your hand is full that means it gets discarded directly from the deck to the discard but that means it goes to the hand etc, which is why it just kinda got stuck the middle of the screen
Double damage is going to be “one of those” mechanics for NL lol

Scry 2, 3, etc. works the same way in Magic. You look at the top X cards all at once, and can order them however you want at the top or bottom of the deck. "Scry" here works more like "Surveil" from the Guilds of Ravnica set, where instead of the bottom of the deck you can mill them.

3:29 Retain is not a new keyword, there’s a power for silent called like careful plans or something like that that lets you retain one card every turn. There’s probably others as well but idk bc I’m new to this game.

Ok, so what I’m getting is that the Weavers strategy revolves around holding on to certain cards while milling through the deck to create combos that utilize both the Retained cards and whatever Stance you’re currently in. In essence, it’s like they took one part Silent and mixed in two parts Defeat...I like it!

I feel like half of the text on these cards is there for the hell of it, "Scry 2, if any of the cards that you scry were added to your deck on an even numbered floor reduce their cost by two, otherwise shuffle them into the deck and lose two strength for each stance change you have made this turn. Costs one less each turn this card is retained."
ATTACK BEFORE YOU CHANGE STANCES! You kept halving your damage and THEN attacking! Arrgh!
