    Thank you for video. I needed to be able to identify the 4 sensors locations before I continue troubleshooting. I should be able to figure out what is wrong with the truck.

    I have 1153, 1133 and 0420. Replaced all 4 sensors and did spark plug and plug wire change out. These codes popped back up

      The first code is a lean condition; may have a vacuum leak. P0420 is the catalytic converter. Try running lacquer thinner mixed with gas through your fuel system. That can sometimes clean it if dirty. If it returns you may need to replace the catalytic converter. Here’s a video I did showing how to clean the catalytic converter with lacquer thinner:

    I appreciate this video...I have 2008 chevy tahoe.
    Check engine light came on and codes P0521 and P1153 generated. I bought the oxygen sensor to replace, but my question is...are these codes related or are they two separate issues? Thanks so much for any feedback you can provide!

      P0521 pertains to the engine oil pressure or pressure sensor, and P1153 is the Bank 2 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor.

    Thanks for sharing. I am getting P1133 & P1153 codes at the same time on my GMC pickup truck 1500 5.3 engine. Is it the same sensor causing these codes to come up? And is replacing it the only solution?

      The codes you are getting refer to both upstream sensors. It sounds like the 2 sensors before the catalytic converters need to be replaced

    I replace the P1153 on my 2001 GMC sierra And the light is still on what do I need to do

    @phillips vision I change my o2s and it still showing da code p1153

      Did you use aftermarket sensors or OEM parts? It could also be a bad connection at the harness

    I replaced my bank 2 sensor 1 and solved code p0153. Cleared codes and p1153 is still showing after clearing and driving for monitors. Unsure at what to do.

      What brand of O2 sensor did you install? Sometimes aftermarket ones can still cause issues because they are not specific to the vehicle.

      @@PhillipsVision AC Delco. I purchased straight from a dealer.

      @@brethrenjay5987 This code can also pertain to the electrical connection of the Bank 2 Sensor 1 sensor. Are you sure the connection is secure?

    • @brethrenjay5987
      @brethrenjay5987 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PhillipsVision I’m relatively sure. It clicked in and I was able to put the safety pin in as well. I can redo the connection and clear the code and see if it comes back on. Is it possible the post cat sensor on the same bank could cause it to have an issue?

    • @PhillipsVision
      @PhillipsVision  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brethrenjay5987 Normally the downstream sensor will give its own code if it’s the problem. The P1153 usually pertains to the upstream sensor. When you disconnect it, try spraying some electric connector cleaner by CRC. You may have some corrosion or dirt inside that is causing a poor connection.

    Is it the same as a 2002 corvette

    • @PhillipsVision
      @PhillipsVision  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, bank 2, Sensor 1 on a Corvette. Basically the o2 sensor before the catalytic converter on the cylinder 2 side
