Okay I own this bike and I just did a 2k round trip in about a 8 days . So here's my take on this Pros : 1. The engine is mighty refined and revs freely and beautifully 2. The cruising speed is anywhere between 90-110 . If you're gentle with the throttle you might end up with a fuel eco of 40kmpl 3. The suspension is so well damped , make sure you maintain the tyre pressures as suggested in the manual 4. A lot of luggage carrying capacity and space in general Cons : 1. The Headlights are absolutely disgusting , they have good spread but absolutely no intensity especially on the highways 2. The windshield is not very usable , once you're doing triple digit speeds , There is a lot of buffeting slightly above your brow I'm hoping this helps . In my opinion , I wanted something that's comfortable and has linear and smooth power delivery , and this bike delivers that in spades . If you like it , go for it
Suzuki made this mechine for those who complains about the lack of touring ability on sf250 (due to aggressive posture) and naked 250 (due to wind blast+ both the siblings has slight upswept seating which is not comfortable for long tour). Now the sx250 got all the bells and whistles to much miles (not for adventure stuff) with out any buttache, back pain wrist pain. The cosmetic upgrade like good wind screen , much needed 205 mm of ground clearance comfy seat longer while base is worth that 30k price hike.. as for comparison the adv250 is still more expensive than sx250.. also D400 is another valueable price to performance package is a worthy competitor for SX250..
Himalayan and Yezdi has reliability issues..Ktm adv 250 doesnt have the same reliability of suzuki....so unless until hardcore offroading is not in the list...this one makes sense
Agreed on every point! Though I would choose this bike for its slight soft off-road ability over Dominar 250 or even Dominar 400. And being a Suzuki gixxer 160 cc user i trust the engine.
D400 is a good competition to the sx but i think the sx has a better stand here. The instrument cluster is far better suited for touring, and while it's not much off-road capable,it is certainly better than d400.
Thanks for the video. And a huge shout out to Autocar team for selecting the venue as Marine Drive and nearby areas in Bhubaneswar , Odisha. The roads are superb and definitely deserve more publicity 😀
Even after 5 years of first offroad bike laaunch in india by any maker, still waiting for that perfect bike. This was ver very close as it has quality, reliability, powerful engine, but on shock absorber disappointed. Can we add xpulse shock absorber to this bike or can we add BMW GS shock absorber to this bike? And then we have perfect bike for india.
Thank you Autocar making this beautiful and amazing video with Suzuki 250 machine with drive along Puri-Konark coastal roads😇👌🤩🛣️. Awaiting for another new videos with our amazing location in Odisha. Thankyou @Autocar
Suzuki should have improved 1.Exhaust design and much more higher position 2.Suspension travel should have been increased( upside down would have made beauty) 3.15lit petrol capasity 4. Hazard light 5. Adjustable wind screen 6.back triangular light feels old..😌
It is f**king good for highway tours with an easy cruising speed range reaching 110-120, a mileage approaching 40 and a refinement beating any other single cylinder bike worth touring. And IT DOESN’T STOP HERE. Despite what the spec sheet suggests about the suspension, it works PRETTY GOOD off road. A key message for everyone is ground clearance, supple rear suspension (more comfortable than Himalayan mind you) and yet suspension not bottoming out, and the tyres make this bike very capable on difficult roads including Indian bikers’ favourite ones these days. Even on off roads I think that usual people will find hard to use even 40% of Himalayan’s suspension because firstly it is relatively stiff, and secondly, people won’t risk thrashing the bike that hard as you need serious skill for that and you don’t want to fall and soil your luggage or face the pillion’s anger haha. Yes BMW GS 310 is a different story.. its suspension travel is worth it for a usual buyer as it is actually usable for an average trail explorer due to its very cushy ride. But that amazing machine also costs 1 lakh more than this.
thanks sir,You review inspired me to buy one great machine..I am SUV CRAZY BUT WHEN I OWNED VSTROM..I LIKE ONLY BIKES,250,650,1050 AND NOW 8000DE..I PERSONALLY APPRECIATE YOU HONESTY AND SINCRERITY TO MOTIVATE ME TO BE A RIDER WITH THE BASE MODEL REGARDS VIRENDRADR
Better tail lamp I agree. But slipper clutch isn't really necessary unless you are riding like a racer on the roads. Even then non-slipper clutch bikes are more fun. Fuel Tank is also fine not too bad.
I would say that you are incorrect about the suspension setup though. Owing a Gixxer 250, I've taken it over some pretty rough terrain (Himalyan territory) since those roads were washed by landslides and the bike performed surprisingly well for it's kind and still no rattles or squeaks from it. However got a puncture but that's fixable. I have high hopes for this Suzuki.
Go for Mahindra Mojo instead for almost same price. Trust me guys Mojo's rock solid double cradle chassie, torquey 295cc liquid cooled engine's refinement and overall built quality is another level. Honestly saying it is India's best bike for touring under 3lac. Just take a test ride of Mojo and you will realise what an amazing machine it is.
My father is 5 . 11 and he is 80 kg so the vstorm bike looks perfect on him . The riding position is very comfortable. The power is very good for his taste . X pulse and himalayan looks and engine do not suit his taste . I love its look as it looks big and had bits of bmw 310 gs . We are going to take a test ride of ktm adventure 250 as well and then go for one of these in few months .
Been owning Gixxer sf250 since 2020 it is a lovely and peppy engine great value for money motorcycle but for vstorm they should have tweaked engine giving 1 bhp and 1nm more
So it’s just a SF250 with some adventure cosmetics? At least they could have gone with a long travel supension and a revised gearing for better off-road performance.
its suzuki, not tvs or bajaj, no point of new tech and advancements if the bike engine doesnt perform the way it should, bike vibrates and after 15-20km, things start to fall apart, if suzuki aint giving few minor changes , whats more important is quality & engine reliability, thats what needed most, not some cosmetic changes as you said, lights design fuel capacity being 250 already etc, in long run, quality matters over quantity and being a bajaj and tvs owner, i realized only those brand gives quantity which lacks quality. P.s with every year updates lol
Suzuki needs to add USD front forks and slipper clutch on the Gixxer 250 and promote it heavily to pull customers to the showroom. This V- Strom won't do anything for Suzuki in the long run. Pathetic aftersales service, parts availability are the main issues why they aren't selling any bikes at all, else people are buying up even the overpriced MT-15.
If you asking for more suspension travel that may make sense. USD are not really required for this and remember even middle weight Suzuki, Kawasaki's don't even get it. Slipper clutch is good to have but for tourer category it is very much optional.. Service, Parts and Engineer's knowledge have to improve though!
Awesome Video Help me out with this One query - My friend's V Strom is almost 30k kms and he wants to change both the tyres. Please give suggestions a lighter and better set of Front and Back tyres for V Strom 250
Was waiting for the review . As expected, suspension travel is big let down as expected. Suzuki should watch this review and rectify the mistake they made . Otherwise it was nice bike.
CLUTCH IS HEAVVY , CONSTNT BUZZY ENGINE WHICH MATTERS A LOT , COMMON PEOPLE TALK ABOUT REFINEMENT OTHER THAN ADV capability which every one is talking, I RIDE BENCH MARK HNESS CB 350
This review and the bike are both quite underwhelming. He is right about the taillights though, they don’t really work with the rest of the design. I don’t the wheels work that well either. Maybe I had too many expectations from this bike.
No USD forks No side stand cut off sensor No assist sleeper clutch No LED turn indicator And on road price is 2.45 to 2.60 Suzuki don't fool indian coustomer
Suzuki har 3-4 saal me apni bikes k model band kar deti hai. Shoulin, samurai, fiero, hyatey, zeus, heat, slingshot, GS150R, inazuma, intruder. Sab models band ho chukey hain.

Abhirup bro, my height is 5.5 and I am less tourer but usually do city and highway ride, can I go for it..? Plz reply 🙏
SF250 don't have aggressive posture..

I took a test ride of this machine, wow what a engine, handling, nimble & connected this bike is.
Finally after so many years, we are getting bikes that are best suited for Indian city streets- an Adv bike!
Thanks for the video. And a huge shout out to Autocar team for selecting the venue as Marine Drive and nearby areas in Bhubaneswar , Odisha. The roads are superb and definitely deserve more publicity 😀
I disagree.. they don’t need any publicity. The lesser the tourists the better, less chaos

This could be a great bike for people seeking adventure & explore places without burning their pockets
Lovely machine .. good for daily rides... And occasional highway tours..... Can't ask for more from a 250cc machine..... 👍👍
Exactly!
what bike do you have ?
Suzuki is great for mileage
This will sell way better than competition (250 adventure ktm & benelli trk 251)👍
It will be hepful and good for pocket thats the best thing..also..
Thank you Autocar making this beautiful and amazing video with Suzuki 250 machine with drive along Puri-Konark coastal roads😇👌🤩🛣️. Awaiting for another new videos with our amazing location in Odisha. Thankyou @Autocar
Good to see you guys in odisha after a while. :)
I like this baby v storm. Its way better than some expensive chassis breaking bikes from some manufacturers.
Just love this bike.. I wish the price was little aggressive though..
Suzuki should have improved

3.15lit petrol capasity

Finer details like offset front wheel axle and swing arm are well pointed here, Good review overall! 👍

And beauty of Puri konark Marine drive ❤️
Fantastic bike, just wish the stock exhaust was a bit higher, but nothing an aftermarket part can't fix in that regard.
02:11 Neat and classy !
Hoping to see these on the roads soon. Good one by Suzuki
wow , looks like u shot the video in Puri Konark marine drive. awesome 😍🤩
Yes it is!!
Lovely Bike Suzuki Vstorm 250 SX waiting for it eagerly in Nepal.
The video is indeed shot here in Puri and Konark marine drive🥳🥳
Lovely location 👌
I own Gixxer naked bike the only problem I have is suspension which is not good for city travel, hope that's been taken care here.
thanks sir,You review inspired me to buy one great machine..I am SUV CRAZY BUT WHEN I OWNED VSTROM..I LIKE ONLY BIKES,250,650,1050 AND NOW 8000DE..I PERSONALLY APPRECIATE YOU HONESTY AND SINCRERITY TO MOTIVATE ME TO BE A RIDER WITH THE BASE MODEL REGARDS VIRENDRADR
Power comes after 4k RPM, so you can ride well in the city and not use too much fuel, over 4k, it turns into a beast!
Segment killer is here 🔥
Wish they offered Slipper clutch, bigger fuel tank and a better tail lamp
Ew
On...what basis ?
Absolutely, needed sleeker LED winkers too at this price point!
@@Anonymous-qx9hs I have gixxer 250 and it would've been better with a bigger fuel tank.

I knew it was Odisha from the beaches! Hope you guys had a good time here..
Thank you for an awesome if not perfectly executed review. Everything I wanted to know was covered and will wait for the comprehensive coverage.
Go for Mahindra Mojo instead for almost same price. Trust me guys Mojo's rock solid double cradle chassie, torquey 295cc liquid cooled engine's refinement and overall built quality is another level. What about after sales service of Mahindra?😃
How is the suspension for city potholes

Shot in Konark, Odisha. 😍😍
For the first time, this video has been made in Odisha, Puri Konark Marine Drive road. ❤️ .
I love the design...i will take. a test ride next month
As someone who's a bit taller than the reviewer, i have to say that footpeg position gives me pause when thinking about touring comfort
They priced it out of the competition! Great bike, Iconic brand name ambitious pricing. When will Suzuki learn?
I love silence when we drive so ❤ Suzuki
Thank u Autocar for choosing this location hell lots of love from #Bhubaneswar

Appreciate your efforts!!!!!!!

Agree regarding the SVCs
Not the way of Suzuki.

It's good, but no LED improvement on blinkers carrying an old model tail light
Lets hope for good for this.
As bajaj launched as 200 pulsar, but didnt sold well.
Can we install handle bar risers in this bike? The length of clutch or break wires allow it?
Suzuki Engine Reliability is 👌🔥🙏
Lovely great suzuki 👌👌👌✌️awesome ride
would love to see a yamaha off roader in 200-300cc segment....
Great review !
Xpulse 200 4V or V storm or yezdi adventure if budget-constrained?
Awesome Video
Help me out with this One query - My friend's V Strom is almost 30k kms and he wants to change both the tyres. Please give suggestions a lighter and better set of Front and Back tyres for V Strom 250
Lovely review 👍🏻
Nice to see Puri-Konark road for review...
The most awaited video
Does it have parking hazard lights setting?
please suggest by a video-- best touring bike/ long distance 300 KM per day puncture-resistant tires under 1.5 lakh ???
How is the pickup ?
Its in Marine Drive, Odisha 😍😍😍😍😍😍....
Was waiting for the review . As expected, suspension travel is big let down as expected. Suzuki should watch this review and rectify the mistake they made .
Otherwise it was nice bike.
And the location is puri konark coastal road♥️♥️♥️
why kick start removed in latest models
Why won't Suzuki launch the Suzuki DRZ Sm ?
First! and loving the intro
Shoot location is in Puri, Odisha is it?
5'10" as said in the video itself
+1
Bungee hooks on pillion footrest hanger??
Damn I'd like to have one of these but none in the U.S.
The biggest drawback for gixer 250, is stiffer suspension. Should have addressed that first
Can we reduce seat height to 790 mm?
Guess only to 805
You’ll have to remove the seat and sit without the seat
805 I guess.. If I bought I might lower it
I think this video is filmed in Puri , Odisha .
Location seems familiar to me is it paradeep, Odisha?
Is this place Odisha chandrabhaga?
Where's the location?
This over the current Himalayan for me
Square headlight will look cool
Shooting in odisha puri-konark Maine drive and bits at patia
This motorcycle has a defect of pulling left side upon leaving handle bar and service center doesn't help with this. Check before buying!
A beatyful SUV on two wheels...!!!
CLUTCH IS HEAVVY , CONSTNT BUZZY ENGINE WHICH MATTERS A LOT , COMMON PEOPLE TALK ABOUT REFINEMENT OTHER THAN ADV capability which every one is talking, I RIDE BENCH MARK HNESS CB 350
This can give compensation to BMW 310.Gs.
I love this machine
Voy a ahorrar para comprarla cuando venga a América
P
De dónde vives amigo?
This review and the bike are both quite underwhelming. He is right about the taillights though, they don’t really work with the rest of the design. I don’t the wheels work that well either. Maybe I had too many expectations from this bike.
Pros...
ADV Looks, Performance, Fuel efficiency, Ride & Handling & Low maintenance cost......
Cons......
Less Suspension Travel (at least 170mm like KTM 250 ADV)
Higher Price Tag ( 1.99 Lakh price is worth to pay)
Off road abilities. .....
Suzuki engine best in segment
hi sir may i know what is your height?
He mentions that in the review 5.10
He mentioned 5'10"
Ignore the bike.....just look at that background view 🙌🏻💯 which location any guesses?
Slipper clutch or not
Nop
no need to go offroad, our proper indian roads are as good as offroad.
Japanese quality 🔥
Why don't they sell this in South Korea?
now they should give liquid cool as this is a tourer bike
Good👍
No USD forks
No side stand cut off sensor
No assist sleeper clutch
No LED turn indicator
And on road price is 2.45 to 2.60
Suzuki don't fool indian coustomer
Not convinced with the pillion seat and pillion foot peg
Is there any low seat height option ?
ya, complete seat assembly can be changed, new seat which reduces seat height by 25mm.
SO a Gixxer wearing more plastic. Tall riders wont be able to grip the tank while saddling and Overpriced as usual.
What about long ride ⁉️
