- To celebrate the re-opening of our wonderful Camellia House in March 2024, we're re-releasing some of our back catalogue of videos that help to give context to this amazing place.

The camellias are amazing. Looks like they just needed a bit of shelter from the wind to survive in the Yorkshire climate.
We hopeful that work might start on the restoration of the Camellia House next year... so watch this space! We took cuttings from each of our historic camellia plants in 2019 and they've been cared for by the wonderful team at Chiswick House. They will be coming back to Wentworth Woodhouse soon!

Will there be anywhere to stay as we would be coming up from east devon?
There are several places locally that offer overnight accommodation including Wentworth village itself, which is just a five minute walk away from the house.
Interesting that camelia's don't need to be in a heated room. They will survive outside even in Yorkshire. They do need acid rich soil rather than artificial heat.
